I wish I could go back in time and buy this Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam years ago! With kids, pets and farm animals it's hard to justify new furniture, but I was almost to that point. Our carpets and furniture were getting so bad we didn't want to have people over. A couple tries with the Bissell and things are looking great! The Bissell is really easy to use. The directions in the manual are very simple and easy to follow. All of the parts and pieces are easy to attach and detach which is important because they need to cleaned after each use. I appreciate that it came with two solutions so I could test a few things before buying a full size bottle. One thing I learned while using the hose is it does over spray quite a bit, so be prepared with a rag to clean things up. The self cleaning feature is so cool and you can see it working. After following the self cleaning directions I also rinsed all the parts and pieces with water until they ran clear. The steam feature is amazing and I think that's what makes the product better than other options. The steam was pulling out long term stains before even using the cleaning feature. The cleaning power was mind blowing. As you're using the hose or the carpet cleaner you can see the machine actually cleaning with cleaner and the dirty water tank filling up. The water being a brownish-grey was really eye opening! I will be using this not only when we have sticky hard to clean messes, but as part of our cleaning routine to keep the house fresh.

They have seriously “thought of it all” when it comes to this carpet and upholstery cleaner. From the moment I opened the box, I was impressed by the stylish black and gold design (cause let's face it…it's WAY more fun to clean when you are cleaning with something pretty! ;) ). But the easy set up and simple steps to begin carpet cleaning was what really won me over from the get-go. As a busy mom of three little ones, I needed something that required little effort, but great results. I'm happy to say…this was it! I love the steam power function. I had a VERY, set in, big stain on our carpet from the previous owners. We have tried everything to get it out and nothing ever comes close to helping it. I have no clue what it was from, but it reminds me of black dried tar or something. Well, after using the steam power max function and going back and forth over it a few times…I'd say it's about halfway gone already! Now, that's really saying something since everything else we have tried has not touched it a single bit over the last several years! It's SO much better than it was before. I also love that I can clean upholstery and rugs with the hose and attachments it comes with. They even thought to include a spraying crevice tool to get to the hard to reach areas along the edges of the rooms! I have an old rug that I've been saving to use the tough stain tool and brush attachment on and wow….it made it look brand new again! It only took about 3 minutes…SO easy! After I was done, I used the self cleaning cycle for the hose and attachments so that cleanup was a breeze, as well. Overall, I thought that the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam did a fantastic job. Not only did it help tremendously with hard, set-in stains, and making the carpet look good again…..but it left my carpet smelling so much better and (thanks to the steam power) made it SO much cleaner for my little ones to play and crawl around on. The steam is really what sets this carpet cleaner apart in my opinion!! All of this, AND it was super easy to use. Cleanup was fast and simple once done. The only thing I will say is that I recommend going ahead and purchasing a bigger bottle of the carpet cleaner solution. It does come with two different types of cleaning solution, but they are small sample bottles. I would say if you have more than just a couple of rooms you are planning to do at once with the same type of cleaning solution, do yourself a favor and go ahead and have the other on hand so you don't have to pause your cleaning and head to the store :) I highly recommend!

I also don't like to use detergents that have soaps in them since dirt seems to cling to the residue it leaves behind. This steam carpet cleaner was amazing and so easy to use. The machine was really easy to maneuver. Running the machine over the wet/cleaned area a few times to soak up any dampness like the instructions suggested was amazing. It cleaned so well and my carpets dried really quickly. The carpet looked clean after using it but more importantly it felt clean without leaving any residue. The machine makes really good track lines like I get when I pay a professional carpet cleaner. I was just as satisfied with using steam carpet cleaner as I am when I have a professional come. I was able to remove stains with ease. It was so satisfying watching the steam work its magic. I definitely would recommend it over other carpet cleaners.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam is a must-have device for any household that has pets or children. This has powered through vomit, honey/syrup, mud, milk, and pet urine on medium pile and foam carpeting without a problem. The steam and suction on this device combined makes for a powerful cleaning product and the cleaning solution does not have a strong chemical scent it actually smells like fresh laundry in my opinion. Overall Performance & Suction The suction on this device is incredibly strong. I've used a few different cleaners, but this one actually feels like it's pulling everything out of the fibers. It worked great on my medium pile carpet, and I was actually surprised at how well it handled a 2-inch thick foam carpet it didn't struggle with the depth at all. I was expecting to have to towel dry the spot once cleaning was completed but it was almost completely dry after just a few passes with the vacuum. Cleaning Power (The Red Wine Test) The real test was a red wine spill, blame my wife, and it tackled it like a champ. I looked closely at the spot after cleaning it with the provided solution and hot water and it did not have even a hint of red on medium pile carpet. It also handled pet urine without any issues removing the smell and scent completely. I used both cleaning solutions provided, one focused primarily on pet urine and the other for generic carpet cleaning and to be honest, I didn't notice a discernable difference between the two—they both worked equally well on pet urine and sticky syrup. A huge plus, as mentioned previously, is that the solution smells "fresh" and natural; you don't get that hit of a strong, gross chemical smell while you're cleaning. The device sucks so much of the solution out that it doesn't linger in the room after you are done cleaning which is very much appreciated by my sensitive nose. Steam Function The "real steam" aspect is a total game-changer. I love that the device creates steam so quickly—it takes less than a minute to get going. The directions claim 35 seconds and that seems to be accurate. You can definitely tell the steam helps break down the mess faster than just using hot water alone. Note the wand does not create steam by itself only when using the vacuum feature. The Self-Cleaning Feature The self-cleaning cycle on the attached want is a convenience I I did not know I needed in my life until now. Honestly, it should be a must-have feature on all devices. Previously, I'd have to manually clean out the hoses by sucking up clean water from a bowl, which was a project in itself. This built-in feature saves so much time and prevents a second mess from happening while you're trying to clean up the first one. It's super easy to use and makes the post-cleaning teardown way less of a headache. Overall I would highly recommend this product and the steam cleaning feature is not a gimmick, it really helps expedite the cleaning process and powers through sticky/nasty messes without a problem. Clean up is a breeze with the self cleaning feature and the easy disassembly of the vacuum itself. After using a handheld carpet cleaner and now this steam cleaning beast I would highly recommend this steam cleaner for great cleaning power. I found it light enough to move up and down stairs without any difficulty and stored easily in a closet.

I was very impressed with all of the functions that it has. I first tested it on a rug that gets medium traffic in our house and I was both delighted (and disgusted!) to see what it pulled up! Then my sons gave me the opportunity to see how well it could remove mud from the entry rug inside our front door. I was nervous that it would make the muddy mess worse, but it did a wonderful job removing what could have easily become a stained, ruined rug. I love that it comes included with accessories to use the vacuum on things like couches or upholstery and the two different cleaning solutions. Not only does it come with several accessories, but I was so happy to see that it came with a bag for them all! The simplest things that not all companies provide. It was so nice to have a designated place to put everything straight out of the box. I absolutely LOVED the self-cleaning cycle! My family makes enough of a mess as is, so I was so happy that this vacuum not only helps clean up that mess, but is also one less thing for me to clean up after or maintain. Overall, I really loved this product, it's not your typical handheld steam cleaner, the power of the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam really gets the job done!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This carpet cleaner is fantastic. It pulled up so many old stains that I have struggled to get out for months. The steam really assisted in lifting the old stains, I've tried my steam cleaner on those set in stains and they still wouldn't come out. After a couple passes with this using the steam setting, it came out like it was a cake walk. I appreciate how simple it is to use, the temperature light telling you when it's hot enough for the steam setting to work. It is also probably the quietest carpet cleaner I have ever used, most hight some serious decibels, but this one is on the lower end and closer to the same noise level as a regular vacuum cleaner. For a carpet cleaner that does so much and works so well I am quite impressed at its compact size, I have had a pet pro bissell in the past and it was quite large and not the easiest to maneuver. But this one is a very manageable size with large tanks for solution water and dirty water, I was able to clean a whole 5x7 rug in both directions without refilling the tank once. The attachment is great for cleaning upholstery, I used it on our recliner and now it looks brand new! The attachment has a self cleaning switch to get all the trapped dirt, dust and hair in the tool. This is such a nice feature, so gone are the days of cleaning with a visibly dirty tool. The hose attachment also comes with a bag for easy storage. I especially like that the hose is separate from the carpet cleaner itself keeping things out of the way and organized. Overall, I really love this carpet cleaner as it has pulling stains out that even our carpet cleaning company couldn't get out. This will be added to our house cleaning routine. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a mom of 3 kids and 2 dogs, I have used my share carpet cleaners but never one using steam, so I was very excited to try the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam carpet cleaner! First, does steam actually make that much of a difference? YES. A thousand times yes. The pictures attached is of my two toddler sons' room. Before (freshly vacuumed), after one pass, and after 2 passes. I honestly did not expect the Bissell Hydrosteam to clean it ENTIRELY as it did, as some of those spots have been there for years, despite previous deep cleaning with a carpet cleaner. It was easy to set up, took 30 seconds to be ready for steam, and was as easy as running a vacuum. I did not pre-treat this area because it wasn't sticky, but there is a pre-treat feature. Even without it, this machine effortlessly removed old gross stains in a matter of minutes. The manual says it is dry in 3 hours. That was not my experience… it used a LOT of water and steam to clean that small area(1.5 tanks) and took approx 6 hours to dry. Absolutely worth the inconvenience, but good to know. Clean up was a breeze - I dumped the dirty water, rinsed the tank and easily washed the brushes and bristles in a couple of minutes. Super easy. All in all, I had such a positive experience cleaning with this machine. When you have a “situation” that requires deep carpet cleaning (parents of children and pets… if you know, you know) don't wait around for an expensive professional service or rent a questionable alternative. This steam cleaner is WORTH IT, y'all. Thank me later.

Love this machine! We have two small dogs who use grass mats inside, but occasionally, they miss. Bissell to the rescue! Brings my carpet to like-new condition. Forward: wash, back: dry. Double set of brushes. Easy to operate and so easy to clean! Put it in the tray, turn it on, automatically cleans itself! It's worth it, believe me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm overall very happy with the new steam clean first Bissell shampooer. Unboxing and assembly is very simple and quick. I used to have another Bissell model that burned out and I have been without one for a while. First I tried this on my need to be replaced bedroom carpet. It's a light color and hasn't been cleaned in years. The first pass I thought the steam only was the only option, so make sure you are on the correct setting. There is no option to not use steam that I am aware. I figured out the correct way shortly after, and am pleased with results. My carpet felt so much cleaner and smelled really nice from the actual soap. It can't bring it back to life completely but I can tell a difference. The second area I tried was a 3” red ketchup stain on the same light oatmeal colored carpet. It's been neglected for months. I think the steam helped loosen the stain before soaping. This small area took a few passes but it did fully come up. I noticed that my carpet was dry much quicker than the older model (I'm talking just a few years old). The manual says 3-4 hrs I believe, and it actually was 3-4 hrs in areas that had a full soak of several passes with the trigger held. I am now a believer of the pre steam miracle. So happy to have this whole home steamer and tackle all of my furniture shortly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell Revolution HydroSteam is an absolute beast of a carpet cleaner. While it's a fairly large upright machine, it's actually more compact and lighter than many other steam cleaners I've used, yet it still delivers the kind of deep-cleaning power you'd expect from an industrial machine. The setup is straightforward. There's a clean water tank where you add warm water and the included cleaning formulas (mine came with two bottles—one for general cleaning and another specifically for pet urine). Then there's a separate large tank for dirty water, for seeing just how much grime it's pulling out of the carpet. One thing I really appreciate is how quickly the steam is ready. After turning the machine on, the steam function is ready in about 40 seconds. The machine has multiple cleaning modes. The first mode is Steam Pretreat, where you can release steam without engaging the brush roll. This is great for loosening stubborn stains before doing a deeper clean. After pretreating, you can switch to SteamWash mode, where the motor brush and the vacuum engages. When you pull the trigger in this mode, it releases steam along with water and cleaning formula, to really give stains a deep clean. I first tested it on a stubborn cat pee stain on a rug that I had tried to clean multiple times with other products. Those treatments always left a noticeable color difference. With this machine on SteamWash mode, I slowly worked the area back and forth about ten times while holding the trigger—and I literally watched the stain disappear. I was genuinely amazed. I'm also glad that the steam is used to sanitize the pet urine. It's not just about cleaning a mess from being visible on carpet, I want to make sure that germs are wiped out. Next, I tried it on some old slime that had been stuck deep in the rug fibers. My previous attempts to remove it had already left the area discolored, and some of the slime was still visibly stuck in the carpet. Again, using SteamWash and working the area back and forth, the remaining slime started to break down and disappear. After a few passes, I was able to get all of it out! The hand tool attachment is another great feature. It's perfect for upholstery, smaller stains, or areas where the large floor roller obviously can't reach. The machine also includes a self-cleaning setup using the hand tool, which is a really thoughtful addition. Like any carpet cleaner, there's some routine maintenance required. You'll want to empty and clean the dirty water tank, rinse off the tray that catches debris and hair, and occasionally wipe down the brush roll chamber to keep everything in good condition. It's a small tradeoff considering how powerful the cleaning performance is. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this machine. It does take up a bit of storage space, but if you have pets or kids this cleaner is absolutely worth it. It's powerful, effective, and I know it's going to make tackling future messes much easier.
