The attachments are great though. I was contemplating returning it for something else if my puppies didnt chew the cord off :( it is a little heavy but manageable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine has amazing cleaning ability. I have owned carpet cleaners from a few manufacturers for over 30 years and this one does the job! I just cleaned my 10 year old bedroom carpet after a major renovation and am very pleased with the result. Even black toilet wax seal that was tracked on by a contractor came out with a little work. It cleaned it much better than the previous generation BISSELL pet machine that I thought did a good job. I did have some difficulties after I originally assembled the machine. I did not fully lock in the top water bracket before inserting and locking in the handle, so I had to find a YouTube on how to get the handle off and reassemble. It also makes a sometimes loud "squeaky squealing wheel" sound, that is not from the wheels, but while the motor is running. I am short, and I noticed if I hold the handle in a higher position, the sound is lessened. I will try to get through to customer service to figure this out at some point, because is becomes annoying after a while... BISSELL made several improvements from the my previous model. The water fill tank is more square and sits firmly in the sink or on the countertop. It is easier to fill, doesn't topple over, and less messy when adding the solution. The dirty water tank is much easier to reinsert, the older model was very tricky, and this one is very easy to empty and clean. This machine goes through twice as much water and solution than my last one, but it also does a far superior job. My thick carpet stayed damp for 24 hours after cleaning. (I will see if this improves when I am doing routine cleaning). I have not tried the attachments yet, hoping for the same results on my stairs! My only other issue is not complete assembly instructions, I had to figure my problem out on my own, and the website was not very helpful. #sweepstakes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous Bissell was starting to have the shampoo jet clog, so I got this one and love the new design which no longer has the potential for the separate shampoo tank to clog. Got this from Bissell.com with the extra attachments that weren't included buying elsewhere, and already made good use of the upholstery attachment, which completely removed any evidence of dog puke on the bedspread. The carpet cleaner seems even more effective than my old one, which did a pretty good job for the past 8 years or so. Wrote this review now to be on time for a #sweepstakes, and that's my true opinion at this point testing on urine and vomit stains. If it weren't for the deadline I would've waited to add extra details on how it handles an extra messy accident, but based on the other stains I expect it to be just as good.

It moves easily over my carpet and I love the steam function of it. It did a great job of cleaning my carpet and removed all the stains and my carpet looks great. I don't have stairs to deal with so I can't say how well the attachments work but the quality of the machine is great.
