High-Traffic Hallway and Play Area I started in our playroom using the Steam Pretreat mode on a mystery sticky area (juice? glue? we have no idea!). At first, the pretreat mode didn't completely remove the stickiness. However, it seemed to loosen the mess, because when I immediately followed up with SteamWash Max mode, the spot came right out. Goodbye, mystery sticky spot! The rest of the playroom has older carpet with a beige-and-black mix that already looks a little worn. After cleaning the entire room with the HydroWash Max setting, I noticed a big improvement. The room smelled fresher, and my kids even seemed to sneeze less. I was very happy with the results. The high-traffic hallway was the real test. Our family wears black socks a lot, so you could clearly see the traffic pattern on our white carpet. Delivery, unpacking and assembly couldn't have gone smoother. Everything is so well labeled on the machine itself along the way that I only picked up the manual to ensure I didn't miss anything prior to turning it on. The design is sleek and appealing, but doesn't compensate on functionality. I was impressed with the different brush attachments for the upholstery cleaner and excited to see a tool included for ease of cleaning the machine. I have owned a carpet cleaning machine in the past that did not include this cleaning tool and trust me when I say that little plastic tool is invaluable!! With 2 dogs, an almost 4 year old and one on the way, I was able to fully put this carpet cleaner to the test and will continue to do so for years to come. My entry way rug was the first to clean. There have been deep oil-like spots in it for quite some time and honestly, I have been casually looking for a replacement. Not anymore! The stubborn spots are practically unnoticeable unless on your hands and knees looking for them. I got these results within 20 minutes of unpacking the carpet cleaner and probably would have done so sooner without little child interference. Not pictured: I have also treated my daughter's bright red lipstick out of my cream colored couch and paint from a sun catcher, dog vomit, and Diet Coke out of my carpet. With all these incidents listed, I must add that while I enjoy the steam feature, our recent messes have all been solved with the SteamWash Max (II)” setting. Though, slime has just entered our lives after much protest, so I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the steam pretreat comes in handy. I also enjoyed the self cleaning cycle of the tough stain tool. It gave peace of mind before storing it after cleaning the lipstick off my couch. The last thing I'd want is for leakage from the tool to somehow transfer the next time I clean a stain. My one piece of advice is to make sure you read the manual prior to removing the dirty tank! Everything else was so effortless that I got a little cocky and didn't review and released the tank right onto the floor. Luckily, the machine sucked it right back up and I did a quick clean over it again. No fault of the machine at all, it was totally on me! Overall, I highly recommend this product. With a little one on the way, it's going to be a major part of my nesting phase. Emptying the dirty water down the drain is so gross, yet incredibly satisfying that it is no longer on the surfaces that my little one is going to be toddling around on.

I currently own a Bissell and it outperforms this model in its overall power. With this model, a lot of water is left behind and took about 48 hours to dry. It did remove stains and sticky stuff that my kids had left on the rug and the couch really well. The steam power function was also a plus. I thought it was great that it used real steam to clean. This cleaner was also VERY easy to clean. The self cleaning cycle did a really great job of flushing the dirt and debris from the brush roll and inner components of the machine. Overall, this unit cleans pretty well. I just wish it had more power to suck up the water it is leaving behind.

From strong suction to a variety of useful attachments, this cleaner has a lot of great qualities that most shoppers are looking for. Especially for pet owners, it can be hard to find a cleaner that can clean and remove pet hair with the same veracity. The machine was very easy and intuitive to set up and I was ready to clean in a matter of minutes. The machine itself is beautiful with the rose gold and black color scheme. I will say, this is a mammoth cleaner! It is actually quite large which does make it quite heavy too. However, I feel like the weigh helps it push deeper into the carpet and get a deep clean. A bonus benefit of the cleaner that I have not experienced before is that the deep bristles not only pulled up embedded pet hair but also helped revitalize my matted shag carpeting. I had no idea how much dog hair was deeply embedded in my carpet! I do feel that the suction pulled out more water from the short carpet than my long carpet, but it seemed to work just as well. The steam power is great because I feel it sanitizes more than solution and water alone. I like being able to see the steam coming out because I know it is working. The hose attachment makes it easy to tackle small upholstery messes. However, I would say that the crevasse attachment tool is a bit cumbersome and the spray is hard to control when using it, so I would probably only use that when absolutely necessary. Cleaning up is a breeze. Between the self-cleaning feature, the cleaning tool, and the simple dirty water basin, I was cleaned up in under five minutes. I've used a lot of upright and handheld carpet / upholstery cleaners and this one outperforms all of them. I LOVE the steam feature. I was able to presteam areas of my sons' bedroom rug that had slime smashed into the carpet and it came right out after. The clean water / soap container and the dirty water container are both a great size. They hold a lot without being overly bulky or hard to carry. On the regular cleaning function, this machine was able to make my area rugs look fresh and bright. The handheld attachment lets me use it on my couches and for spot treating and it works great. Best of all, it is a breeze to clean this machine. The containers have wide openings to empty them that also allow them to dry quickly. The front panel over the roller brush also pops off easily to clean lint and dirt out easily. And the handheld attachment has a self-cleaning mode to get all the lint and dirt out of the brush head. I love that this machine, which is the same size as my previous upright carpet cleaner, actually replaces 2 machines because of the handheld attachment. Plus it has the steam feature which is an amazing upgrade that makes it even more effective.

I'm someone who gets the ick real bad from dirty floors but also someone who made the decision to get very light carpet (with little kids in the house no less!). I needed a real solution because hiring the pros to do it several times a year was not working with our budget or lifestyle. This Bissell has be obsessed, it's so easy to use and the results are intensely satisfying that even the mattresses in my house are getting a good cleaning these days! The machine is smaller and lighter than the cleaners you can typically rent and I LOVE the steam feature. I cleaned my carpets without and cleaners, only water and steam and I'll let the photos speak for themselves on how amazing it works. I used the hose and other attachments which doesn't support steam and will be adding photos of my dining room chairs that I used to be so embarrassed by, but now they look 100x better! The blue stain is acrylic paint and the green is a permanent marker. I used to dread cleaning up after cleaning but this Bissell has a self cleaning feature to clean the brush and it makes that part so much more tolerable. I do with it came with the docking station to be able to use that feature but it was worth the cost to me! I wish I could add more photos of all my before and afters! I reallly love this cleaner! I've had others and this is the best one I've owned and no more pro needed!
