The steam helps break down the extra dirt and grime as well as eases our minds in the cleanliness of the carpets. I know kids get dirty and get germs from all over the place, but I still find comfort in knowing that our home is a clean space for him.

And no extra cleaner container. I'm still getting used to the way it functions but seems to be a nice update and replacement if my old one's.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine has amazing cleaning ability. I have owned carpet cleaners from a few manufacturers for over 30 years and this one does the job! I just cleaned my 10 year old bedroom carpet after a major renovation and am very pleased with the result. Even black toilet wax seal that was tracked on by a contractor came out with a little work. It cleaned it much better than the previous generation BISSELL pet machine that I thought did a good job. I did have some difficulties after I originally assembled the machine. I did not fully lock in the top water bracket before inserting and locking in the handle, so I had to find a YouTube on how to get the handle off and reassemble. It also makes a sometimes loud "squeaky squealing wheel" sound, that is not from the wheels, but while the motor is running. I am short, and I noticed if I hold the handle in a higher position, the sound is lessened. I will try to get through to customer service to figure this out at some point, because is becomes annoying after a while... BISSELL made several improvements from the my previous model. The water fill tank is more square and sits firmly in the sink or on the countertop. It is easier to fill, doesn't topple over, and less messy when adding the solution. The dirty water tank is much easier to reinsert, the older model was very tricky, and this one is very easy to empty and clean. This machine goes through twice as much water and solution than my last one, but it also does a far superior job. My thick carpet stayed damp for 24 hours after cleaning. (I will see if this improves when I am doing routine cleaning). I have not tried the attachments yet, hoping for the same results on my stairs! My only other issue is not complete assembly instructions, I had to figure my problem out on my own, and the website was not very helpful. #sweepstakes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best thing for cleaning carpets! I've had the older ProHeat 2X Revolution upright for a few years. The name on the older upright is deceptive. There's no real heat, to speak of (besides the recommendation to use hot tap water). The Hydrosteam actually has a heating element built into it, that DOES produce steam. It's taken out stains that are years old, that the ProHeat 2X never removed. Bought the Little Green Hydrosteam as well (invaluable for spot cleaning, as well as doing upholstery, car seats, carpeted stairs etc. ). The upright DOES NOT emit steam from the hose attachment. The Little Green does.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow I have bought Bissell carpet cleaners before but this is top of the line. Very easy to use and it did a better job then I could every imagined. I enjoyed cleaning just seeing what this cleaner could handle. My whole house smells great. I would buy this one again. Even my fur babies loved rolling around on clean rugs.

It took out stains I had for years tried every way possible to remove. Hard to believe how the dirt came out that you didn't know uou had. I'm so so happy I bought this.

I would add that the steam feature doesn't seem to operate like I would like on hard surfaces, but, the other functions, including cleaning down to grout on tile, have been very efficient. There seems to be a lot of product released with the cleaning mode and 2-3 passes are necessary, not just suggested, but, the floors dried quickly. If I could I'd give 4.5 stars Easy to assemble.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My pets have met their match with this machine! The stains it was able to pull up from them was amazing: new, old, wet, dry, you name it. I love the steam feather and the self cleaning brush rolls save me so much time afterwards. This vacuum as a whole is one of the easiest to clean, operate and store, that give ever owned.
