We kept getting grease stains all over our carpet upstairs. It took us a while to figure out where the grease stains came from. The Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam got those stains out ENTIRELY! I was so excited to try it that I forgot to take before pictures of the grease upstairs. I did have to do it once, let it dry, and the clean it twice to make it go away entirely, but it was totally worth it. The pictures I've shared are from our downstairs carpet where it is highly trafficked. We had some grease stains there. The pictures show how it looks after once over. I'm certain they will be gone after the carpet drys and I do it again. The hose self cleans, which is amazing. And the top of the main suction part comes apart entirely so an EASY clean. My last carpet cleaner got mold there because we couldn't take it apart, so this was awesome. I think the steam cleaning portion of the vacuum really makes a difference. I will say that the solution they want you to use is very strong. I recommend planning to be able to ventilate well while it drys. I also tried it on my couch and it looks amazing!

I'm currently potty training my 2-year-old, and it has made handling potty training accidents so much easier. As a parent, being able to quickly clean stains as they happen is incredibly helpful, and having a machine with steam cleaning feels like such a win in our house. It honestly feels like one of the best tools to have on hand when you have little kids and carpets. For everyday spills, it does a great job as long as the mess hasn't been sitting for a couple of days. If it has, you may need to run over the area a few times to get it looking its best. I haven't tested it on really sticky messes yet, but for things like urine, milk spills, juice, and water on my rugs it has handled them well. I also really love the steam feature. Being able to disinfect and clean at the same time is one of my favorite parts, and seeing the cleaning happen in real time gives me confidence that my rugs are getting a deep clean. The self-cleaning cycle is another feature I appreciate. It's straightforward to use and helps rinse out the machine after cleaning so you're not leaving residue sitting inside. It makes the maintenance process feel much easier and quicker after finishing a cleaning session. My one small complaint is that once the machine is turned off and you pull it away, it tends to drip a bit of water as you move it. When it's stowed away, it can also leave a few drops of water where it was sitting. Aside from that minor issue, it really does work like a charm.

This carpet cleaner cleans like a champ. I am impressed by the steam-cleaning function and that was the primary reason I bought it in comparison to other company models. I wish it had a "vacuum only" setting that was clear that it was only picking up the water without adding more. Based on what I have read, only when you pull the trigger is that the only time when water is coming out but it isn't completely intuitive if this is your first time cleaning carpets. Other than that, I love it. I saw another customer comparing this with another one in-store and I told him to buy it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This carpet cleaner is fantastic. It pulled up so many old stains that I have struggled to get out for months. The steam really assisted in lifting the old stains, I've tried my steam cleaner on those set in stains and they still wouldn't come out. After a couple passes with this using the steam setting, it came out like it was a cake walk. I appreciate how simple it is to use, the temperature light telling you when it's hot enough for the steam setting to work. It is also probably the quietest carpet cleaner I have ever used, most hight some serious decibels, but this one is on the lower end and closer to the same noise level as a regular vacuum cleaner. For a carpet cleaner that does so much and works so well I am quite impressed at its compact size, I have had a pet pro bissell in the past and it was quite large and not the easiest to maneuver. But this one is a very manageable size with large tanks for solution water and dirty water, I was able to clean a whole 5x7 rug in both directions without refilling the tank once. The attachment is great for cleaning upholstery, I used it on our recliner and now it looks brand new! The attachment has a self cleaning switch to get all the trapped dirt, dust and hair in the tool. This is such a nice feature, so gone are the days of cleaning with a visibly dirty tool. The hose attachment also comes with a bag for easy storage. I especially like that the hose is separate from the carpet cleaner itself keeping things out of the way and organized. Overall, I really love this carpet cleaner as it has pulling stains out that even our carpet cleaning company couldn't get out. This will be added to our house cleaning routine. It tackles pet messes like no other, and with a new rescue dog that is still working potty training, this tool has become my new best friend!!! I love that it doesn't have a filter in the dirty water tank to get clogged and smelly. I especially love the cleaning power and the option to choose between level 1 and 2. It's so easy to use and push without being too heavy. The cord is an excellent length and it's not terribly loud. I have used this 3 times in as many weeks and every time I know it's going to get my carpets cleaned of animal messes and smells. Bissell is superior in quality!!!!!

This Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam Upright Carpet cleaner has been so useful to clean messes as well as improve the look of my carpets! Assembly is so easy and the directions are very straightforward to follow. The unit comes with everything you need to clean right away- including several cleaning solutions, an extendable hose, and several attachments to tackle a variety of messes. It is sturdy, and a little on the heavy side (I needed my husband to carry it up our stairs). So far, I've used this to clean several set in berry stains and mystery messes out of our carpet. This has a super fast warm up time for the steam to be ready to use and has a light to show when it's ready. Within minutes, the SteamWash Max setting removed my stains as if they were never there! It's very effective and I like that this uses steam vs just hot water. I also tried to use it on a grease stain from a glider in our nursery and while the stain didn't completely disappear, it lightened and the surrounding carpet looks much more fluffy again. Cleaning the machine has a few steps, but is worth the effort based on the results of the machine. All in all, this is a worthwhile investment and something I'm very happy to have in my home moving forward, especially when we get a puppy!

This product literally removed all of the stains created by my cat and kid, all in one hour. It uses this special steam cycle that works alongside its water cycle to lift tough stains. Its powerful suction ensures that heavy dirt is removed efficiently. The included attachments make it super easy to switch from the floor to the upholstery in seconds. The capacity of the tank is more than adequate for a deep clean and it's also really easy to switch out the tanks. The unit itself is easy to clean utilizing its self-cleaning cycle feature and tear down of the unit for storage is super easy. Gone are the days of dreading the carpet cleaning process. The results speak for themselves and it doesn't waste your time. If I had to offer up a negative comment, I would say it's a little heavier than anticipated. However, the pros outweigh the cons on this unit with no leaking, plenty of capacity, and cleaning power. Everything seems to come in twos here—including the accidents! The Bissell Revolution HydroSteam Carpet Cleaner has become an essential cleaning tool for my home. Since owning it, I've cleaned up a tea spill, multiple dog accidents, a high-traffic hallway, and our playroom. I feel like I've tested nearly every feature this machine offers. High-Traffic Hallway and Play Area I started in our playroom using the Steam Pretreat mode on a mystery sticky area (juice? glue? we have no idea!). At first, the pretreat mode didn't completely remove the stickiness. However, it seemed to loosen the mess, because when I immediately followed up with SteamWash Max mode, the spot came right out. Goodbye, mystery sticky spot! The rest of the playroom has older carpet with a beige-and-black mix that already looks a little worn. After cleaning the entire room with the HydroWash Max setting, I noticed a big improvement. The room smelled fresher, and my kids even seemed to sneeze less. I was very happy with the results. The high-traffic hallway was the real test. Our family wears black socks a lot, so you could clearly see the traffic pattern on our white carpet. The carpet isn't new, so I wasn't expecting perfection—just a cleaner look. While cleaning, I was honestly amazed watching the dirty water being suctioned out of the carpet. Seeing all that grime in the tank was incredibly satisfying. The hallway ended up smelling fresh, and the black trail was completely gone. I was thrilled with the results and feel confident I could refresh all the carpeted bedrooms in the house when I have the time. Spot Cleaning I also used the brush attachment on my white carpeted stairs after spilling bright green matcha tea and dealing with a dog urine accident. Attaching the hose was very easy, and it was long enough to reach the top of the staircase in my split-level home. The extra-long hose meant I didn't have to move the heavy machine, which was a huge plus. I sprayed the areas with the nozzle and let the solution sit for a few minutes before lightly scrubbing. Then I turned on the machine and suctioned up the stains. -The dog urine came out immediately. -The matcha tea stain needed a second round of treating, scrubbing, and suctioning, but it came out very clean. Overall, I was very pleased with how easy and effective the process was. Cleaning the Machine Cleaning the machine itself is actually one of its best features. Emptying the dirty water tank is straightforward, just like with most carpet cleaners. What stood out to me was the red filter below the tank, which can be easily wiped clean with a rag. With two dogs and two cats, you can imagine the amount of hair it collects—even after vacuuming beforehand. The brush head also pops out easily, can be rinsed in the sink, and snaps right back into place. After spending so much energy cleaning, the last thing I want is a complicated machine cleanup. These thoughtful features make the process quick and manageable. Honestly, this convenience alone makes the Bissell worth it.
