[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have throughly enjoyed every aspect of the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam machine so far. Delivery, unpacking and assembly couldn't have gone smoother. Everything is so well labeled on the machine itself along the way that I only picked up the manual to ensure I didn't miss anything prior to turning it on. The design is sleek and appealing, but doesn't compensate on functionality. I was impressed with the different brush attachments for the upholstery cleaner and excited to see a tool included for ease of cleaning the machine. I have owned a carpet cleaning machine in the past that did not include this cleaning tool and trust me when I say that little plastic tool is invaluable!! With 2 dogs, an almost 4 year old and one on the way, I was able to fully put this carpet cleaner to the test and will continue to do so for years to come. My entry way rug was the first to clean. There have been deep oil-like spots in it for quite some time and honestly, I have been casually looking for a replacement. Not anymore! The stubborn spots are practically unnoticeable unless on your hands and knees looking for them. I got these results within 20 minutes of unpacking the carpet cleaner and probably would have done so sooner without little child interference. Not pictured: I have also treated my daughter's bright red lipstick out of my cream colored couch and paint from a sun catcher, dog vomit, and Diet Coke out of my carpet. With all these incidents listed, I must add that while I enjoy the steam feature, our recent messes have all been solved with the SteamWash Max (II)” setting. Though, slime has just entered our lives after much protest, so I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the steam pretreat comes in handy. I also enjoyed the self cleaning cycle of the tough stain tool. It gave peace of mind before storing it after cleaning the lipstick off my couch. The last thing I'd want is for leakage from the tool to somehow transfer the next time I clean a stain. My one piece of advice is to make sure you read the manual prior to removing the dirty tank! Everything else was so effortless that I got a little cocky and didn't review and released the tank right onto the floor. Luckily, the machine sucked it right back up and I did a quick clean over it again. No fault of the machine at all, it was totally on me! Overall, I highly recommend this product. With a little one on the way, it's going to be a major part of my nesting phase. Emptying the dirty water down the drain is so gross, yet incredibly satisfying that it is no longer on the surfaces that my little one is going to be toddling around on.

Did you appreciate that it uses real steam? What did you think of the self-cleaning cycle? How easy was it to use? I really wish I could say that I loved this carpet cleaner. I currently own a Bissell and it outperforms this model in its overall power. With this model, a lot of water is left behind and took about 48 hours to dry. It did remove stains and sticky stuff that my kids had left on the rug and the couch really well. The steam power function was also a plus. I thought it was great that it used real steam to clean. This cleaner was also VERY easy to clean. The self cleaning cycle did a really great job of flushing the dirt and debris from the brush roll and inner components of the machine. Overall, this unit cleans pretty well. I just wish it had more power to suck up the water it is leaving behind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hoping the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam would breathe some life back into carpets that have taken years of heavy foot traffic, kid messes and the occasional stubborn stain. For the most part, it delivered, with a few things to keep in mind. To start, the assembly was straightforward and took maybe a couple of minutes. Instructions were clear, and switching between cleaning modes is intuitive. As for the cleaning power, the results were genuinely noticeable. For example, my bedroom carpet which had looked dull and flattened for years came out looking refreshed and noticeably softer after a full pass. Everyday set-in stains like food and grime around the house came up without much trouble. That said, it didn't fully remove a candle wax stain that had been sitting in the carpet for a while so manage expectations on the tougher, older stuff. It does feel like the steam makes a tangible difference when it comes to loosening stuck-on messes. Using the Steam Pretreat Mode before a full cleaning pass helped lift debris that a regular cleaning cycle likely would have left behind. It takes a little time to heat up, but once it's going, you can tell the steam is doing real work. One word of caution though is to be prepared about water usage. The machine goes through water quickly, and you may find yourself refilling mid-session on larger areas. It's not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing so you're not caught off guard. On the other hand, I think my favorite feature is the self-cleaning cycle. Genuinely useful, especially given how much hair and general debris this machine pulls up from the carpet. Even after a thorough vacuuming beforehand, the HydroSteam still managed to surface a surprising amount of embedded hair and “kid gunk” which then collected in the brushes. Being able to run a self-clean cycle made the post-use cleanup more manageable. In the end, the Revolution HydroSteam does a good job of what it's designed for, refreshing and deep cleaning carpets that have seen a lot of use. Just go in with realistic expectations: pre-vacuum, plan for drying time, and understand it works better on some stains than others. For everyday revitalization and dealing with recent kid (or pet) messes, it's a worthwhile machine.

So with an aging house that's been more and more costly in upkeep, I hoped to get better results by cleaning my carpets at home than to hire a professional service. So far, it's extremely easy to set up and the hydrosteamer isn't too heavy to pick up and maneuver (which was the big reason I never owned a steamer again till now- they get so heavy!). It does pretty good lifting up fresh and pigmented stains, such as blood, crayon, paint, and pet messes. Far as older stains, which was my main focus when trying this, it struggled a bit. For an older pet stain, I needed around 4-7 passes before it could lift it a few shades but not entirely. Though, I got a better result when spot cleaning first before trying it again at least. The self cleaning cycle is a highly convenient feature since I admit the cleaner is designed in a way that its little hard to get into far as cleaning it out. It does get really noisy, though, especially when treating furniture! Honestly, that's not a big deal breaker as long as it works well. For deep cleaning rugs, this is excellent in that regard. My rugs literally went up to three shades lighter after one treatment! The steam power function made a huge difference with this, but it tends to leave more of a mess behind. So for some things, this is a beast. Others, it can help a good deal with some spot treating beforehand. Besides my issues, I'd still would recommend this cleaner.

Steam power function: The steam power function was one of my favorite features. As a parent, that's something I value since kids and pets spend a lot of time playing on the floor. The steam also seemed to refresh the carpets and make them look brighter after cleaning. Self-cleaning cycle: Another feature I really liked was the self-cleaning cycle. After using the machine, being able to run the cleaning cycle made maintenance incredibly easy. We all have accidents sometimes and our house is no exception. Whether it be someone forgetting to take the dog out or maybe a little something gets spilled on the carpet and rug. But enter this upright carpet cleaner and no matter the mess you can rest assured it's going to be taken care of. Just a little bit of solution for a small area (like my upstairs hallway) or a full gallon of water and solution mixed for a large area this thing has got you covered! You can't get much more power than this unit and the added steam function just gets your carpets or area rugs even cleaner! As an example we used this in our hallway where there was some lingering doggie odor where he had some accidents in the past and just a few passes and this thing killed all that stale urine smell! And after a quick clean out the unit was ready to go again! My daughter said she wasn't feeling well and rather than make it to the restroom decided to vomit on a large area rug and our couch. That gave me the opportunity to use the attached tools and steam clean the whole large area. Well a big brown stain in a whitish rug was a challenge this cleaner was up for! Though it took a few passes it got it cleaned up chunks and all! I couldn't be happier with this machine as just a little bit of cleaner goes a long way! The extra steaming really helps and for those stubborn stale stains and smells you can't ask for more!

I used this product on my carpets, couches and a few chairs. It helped get rid of stains from my kids and dog that have been there for a while. Our carpets smelled so fresh and clean after using this product. We loved that this cleaner helped our carpets feel fresh and didn't leave a sticky residue like other cleaners we have used. It is so easy to use, and is very efficient. We were able to clean two living rooms, our couches and chairs in about 30 minutes. The steam function was great on our chairs and we instantly saw the gross stains get cleared away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never used a steam cleaner in my life, but when this arrived, I was genuinely so excited to try it, I went out and cleaned nearly every carpeted or rugged surface in my home in 48 hours. So I'm now well accustomed to it. And it works - well! My biggest “issue” was not vacuuming beforehand in one instance - which Bissel tells you specifically to do, so shame on me - which led to excess dog hair getting caught on the rotating elements. Otherwise, I had no issues. Carpet generally comes back clean and fairly dry though I think I need to improve my technique of removing all liquid and some spots remained damp a bit longer than expected. Still, it's every satisfying to use and the size and steam elements are very practical.

It's definitely a main character. I've used it on pet stains, old stains, coffee stains, and just for overall deep-cleaning of our carpets and I'm impressed every time I use it. I also am really happy with how much money I save. We used to pay a professional company every time we had a stain, but now I can do it myself. I was skeptical about the power of the steam to pre-treat, but I was proven wrong after just 1 pass with the machine. The key is to vacuum your carpet first, then use the Hydrosteam in the Steam Pretreat setting, and then go SLOW back and forth over the area you're targeting in the SteamWash mode. Don't stop until you stop seeing water droplets being sucked up into the hose or else your carpet will take forever to dry. If you want an easy, effective, and economical way to keep your carpets super clean and fresh, I highly recommend you invest in the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam carpet cleaner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am writing to share my review of the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam upright carpet and upholstery cleaner. Overall, the cleaning power is fantastic, with plenty of suction for both carpets and upholstery. I have used this vacuum for multiple applications since I've had it and have been impressed with how well it cleans each area of my house. Shortly after I received it, my dog got injured and bled all over on an almost white area rug; the Bissell Hydrosteam successfully removed all the blood, pet hair, and other, stubborn debris. I didn't even realize my carpet was that dirty despite daily vacuuming. The steam function definitely helped on the more difficult stains and to loosen any debris from my dogs injury. I thought I was going to have to throw the rug away but it now looks better than it did before! The steam function also helped soften the creases in a new area rug I just put in my daughter's room, which I feel is a great option and unique feature. I especially liked that it used real steam so I wasn't worried about burning or melting the fibers in the carpet. I also used the easy-to-use attachments to clean a rocking chair, and it now looks like a new chair. Just look at the before and after pictures! The upholstery cord is more than adequate in length, and the sprayer is very simple to operate. My only minor critique is that controlling the spray in small areas, such as the arms of a chair, can be challenging due to a little overspray. This vacuum is an outstanding, heavy-duty, and well-made machine. The self-cleaning feature makes it extremely easy to clean, and the design allows for convenient access to all parts that require cleaning. I've used others that were really difficult and tedious to clean, so I didn't ever feel like using them. The Bissell Hydrosteam is so easy to clean and does such a good job that I am looking forward to cleaning all my other rugs and upholstered furniture. I really enjoyed using this product and would recommend it to anyone who has carpet, area rugs, or upholstered furniture in their home.
