[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before I get into the functionality of this Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam Carpet Cleaner, I first want to acknowledge how beautiful it is! The gold accents makes a seemingly unglamorous job feel like a luxury and not feel shameful for leaving it out in the open for company to view. As a mom of 3, with my eldest being 6 years old, we know a thing or two about messes and sicknesses so I was appreciative to see this carpet cleaner also included steam. The assembly was a breeze and took less than 5 minutes to have up and running. I also loved that the disassembly was also just as quick and the Catch and Clean tray (clear cover) can be removed for deeper cleaning. As an added bonus, you get a clean out tool to help reach the smaller areas. My 6 year old has discovered their love for painting and unfortunately some found its way onto the carpet. Although the stain had been there for over a week, I was able to get the paint out with a few passes and you can't even tell there was paint there. You have the option of filling the tank for a large or small area, so that really came in handy since I didn't want to clean the entire floor at that moment. When the carpet cleaner is in Steam Pretreat Mode it is practically silent. However, you can't use this mode with the hose. That is one of my biggest complaints because I would love to steam clean furniture surfaces as well. My other complaint, although fairly minor, is that the fill hole for the water tank is a bit small. I wish you could remove the lid for faster filling and less of a mess. I assume you're unable to remove the lid because it doubles as the carrying handle, but if they were able to add a locking feature to the lid I think that would work. Aside from those two cons, I think this is a beautiful machine that does what it says it will do. If you have little ones or even a pet, do yourself and your carpet a favor by getting this carpet cleaner. I am a more at ease mom because I know if an accident happens, I can clean it up quickly.

It pulled up way more dirt than I expected, and you can actually see how much grime it's removing in the dirty water tank. After cleaning, the carpets looked brighter and felt much fresher. It also gave this mama more peace of mind with a baby crawling around! For sticky, stuck-on messes, it did a really good job. I tried it on a few spots where something had clearly been spilled and dried, and the combination of the cleaning solution and steam helped loosen everything up. I didn't have to go over the same spot a bunch of times like I have with other carpet cleaners. The steam function is probably my favorite feature. I love that it uses real steam because it feels like it's really helping break down tougher messes and deep-clean the carpet. As much as I don't like cleaning, this was actually enjoyable getting to see the steam and the grim being pulled up from the carpet with every swipe. The self-cleaning cycle is also super convenient. After I finished cleaning, I just ran the cycle and it flushed out the hose and system for me. It was really easy and saves the hassle of trying to rinse everything out by hand. With the limited time I have to clean, I hate having to clean a device itself after I already spent the time cleaning. The only negative thing I would have to say about this carpet cleaner is that it is quite bulky and heavy. It is another cleaning device to have to store, and was kind of heavy carrying it up and down the stairs. Overall, this has been a great carpet cleaner for a busy household. With three little kids constantly making messes, it's nice to have something that actually makes cleaning the carpets feel manageable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Revolution HydroSteam has been a game changer this past week on my carpet and upholstery! The machine is super easy to set up. I also love how the water levels and chemical levels are clearly marked on the tank so you are confident on the amount to add without needing to measure. Almost immediately I could tell how powerful this cleaner is. The suction is impressive and really pulls the dirt and stuck on particles up from the carpet. My tank water was very brown when I finished a high traffic room! Recently, my child got some sticky candy on a throw pillow. There was also some stubborn dog urine stains and hot chocolate stains on a rug for over a year. Using the attachment for the pillow and the cleaner for the floor, I pretreated with the steam and then went over the stains using the solution and steam. It did a wonderful job getting rid of the sticky residue and pulling up the stains on the carpet. While they aren't 100% gone, it's a huge improvement! The steam really helps make a difference in performance on cleaning up tough stains- as a bonus I feel like I am sanitizing the areas in my home, too! I felt the clean water in the tank was used up quicker with the steam option, but I'm ok with that knowing my floors are getting the best cleaning treatment. The self-cleaning cycle is easy to do. I appreciate the cleaning tools to make clean up more efficient. I am hoping it makes a difference in keeping lines clean from build up or mold. I wish the tanks had a vent so they can dry quicker. A longer power cord would make it easier to clean larger rooms, too. Overall, this is the best cleaner I've ever owned, and it's sharp looking, too with its black and copper accents!

The hydrosteam made sticky messes from my toddlers clean up so smoothly and effortlessly. The pre treating feature is awesome! Again, just making it so much easier to lift and remove stains. Love that you also have a hose to be able to clean your stairs or couches as well. The look of the product is very sleek. It's very easy to disassemble and reassemble. You can do it all one handed which helps when you're a busy mom wrangling kids as well. This product is very sturdy and is used very frequently in our home! Love that I can use it for both quick clean up messes AND for routine carpet cleaning to help make our home feel clean and refreshed.

Of course, it was a pbj, and the jelly got all over. The steam feature made easy work of the stain, removing all traces of stickiness. It was also helpful for an older gum mark. While it didn't get rid of it entirely, it took a good chunk out and removed the stickiness. It was super simple to clean. It comes with a tool to help get the gunk out of the vacuum piece. Pop out the compartments, give them a rinse, and pop them back in. Cleaning it entirely took less than five minutes total. It is heavy, but still easy to maneuver. I do very small sections at a time, and I had no difficulties keeping it where I wanted it

I personally love a cordless stick vacuum for most situations, but I have a dog and a toddler, so I break the revolution hydrostream out when I need to do a deep clean and really get into our carpet. It has a great suction, it's not as heavy as I had expected, the steam seems to work well, though I haven't had a lot of necessity for that function in my every day life yet (maybe it'll come in handy eventually, who knows), and overall it just works well when you need a heavier duty vacuum for deeper cleaning!

As someone with kids, I'm always dealing with spills and messes, and it did a decent job refreshing carpets and cleaning larger areas. The amount of dirt from our rug was significant! However, the machine is quite large and heavy, which makes it harder to move around. It also struggled with tougher, stuck-on stains and left a noticeable white residue behind.
