I used it on my living room rug which I'd previously had professionally cleaned and was happy with the results! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great upright carpet cleaner! As a parent to young children and pets we have struggled to keep our carpets looking pristine. In combination with the special pet formula, it quickly got my carpet noticeably cleaner without leaving it super wet. It is a larger machine but isn't too heavy to maneuver and doesn't take up much more space then a regular vacuum. I am impressed with the suction, this got so much up without a problem. It was able to get enough of the water up and out of the carpet that it didn't leave a lingering damp smell. Cleaning the machine up when finished using it does not take very long. All the components are easy to access making cleaning easy. If you have the space to store it, this is a must have for people with indoor pets and small children. I would highly recommend.

I have used many different carpet cleaners, but never found one I really could rave about. But, the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam was quite impressive! I have 3 kids, 2 cats, & 2 dogs so you can imagine the dirt that gets tracked into my house. My first area I wanted to tackle was my living room couch. It was covered in stains from little hands. I was mind blown by house clean my couch looked when I was done! The upholstery attachment has such a strong suction and the heated steam was lifting every ounce of grim and dirt off my couch! Next was the playroom carpets; again…. Kids. This room required pretreatment to get all the sticky messes of who knows what out of my carpet and I am positive one of my dogs has marked her territory a time or 2. I have cleaned these carpets dozens of times and they never looked fresh like they were when we first installed them. But with the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam, it clearly got the job done and left my carpets looking extra fresh! I was shook! Even lifted a nail polish stain out of the carpet. If you are in need of a carpet cleaners that actually gets the job done, you definitely need this! It has industrial vibe with a home size machine so it's not a space hogger. I will admit it is a bit heavy, but it's a work horse so I'm not complaining!

The HydroSteam Technology worked wonders on tough messes like pet stains and dried-on spills, lifting them with minimal effort. I also loved the built-in Pretreater—it made dealing with set-in stains much easier. The 2-in-1 self-cleaning tool was great for above-floor areas like stairs and couches, and cleanup afterward was a breeze. Two of my favorite features: the cleaning solution leaves the room smelling absolutely amazing, and everything comes apart to be easily cleaned. The tool that's included to clean out the nozzle and brush roll is a great addition. This product cleans thinner-pile rugs and carpets better than shag area rugs. I didn't like how it left water around the perimeter of my area rug on the hardwood floor. It also made my thin-pile area rug curl up around the edges. I recommend vacuuming at night before bed so all the carpets and couches can dry overnight. The worst thing about this product is that it left clumps of pet hair at the end of each section I was steaming. Lastly, the cord is too short, in my opinion.

The look and design are modern enough, the gold finish really stands out, but the unit is still bulkier than I'd like and awkward to store. My favorite feature was that it comes with a hose attachment for smaller areas/upholstery, eliminating the need for another machine. I love the design and gold color looks nice. I first used this to clean an area where my dog always sleeps on my white carpet so it quickly becomes dirty. You can see the difference after using it how white my carpet looks again! I also used it on my living room carpet which you can see the color of the water showing how well it cleans. The self cleaning feature also works great and completely cleaned out the hose attachment! It comes apart easily making cleaning up a breeze - which is always the worst part! Overall I would definitely recommend this product it's a great buy as a 2-in-1 vacuum and handheld cleaner!

My toddler dropped a pink marker, which my dog then chewed and smeared all over our beige dining room rug. The steam attachment got it out, and I think the pretreater helped too. I finished the job with the larger steam vacuum, and honestly, the rug looked brand new. I loved the attachment tool — it made it so much easier to clean our couch, which my dog basically lives on. The wheels on the machine also make it easier to move around, which is nice given the weight. And the water tanks are one of my favorite parts: super easy to fill and clean, with a one-click in and out design and just two pieces to deal with. We had a different cleaner before, and the dirty water filter was such a pain — this is way more user-friendly. That said, it is heavy. I'm not dragging it out weekly — maybe once a season or for big messes. It also goes through water fast, and I found it a bit tricky moving from one rug to another without getting steam on our hardwood floors. One small annoyance: the clear top cover kept popping off when it bumped into walls or rug edges. All in all, it's great to have for bigger cleanups, but probably not something you'll use on the regular. If you've got a lot of rugs, kids, or pets, it's a solid backup to keep in the closet for when things get messy.

They make is simple to know exactly how much formula and water you need by providing lines on the water basin. It easily cleaned hard to remove stains from my couch using the nozzle. Also cleaned our carpet well. Only downside is it is rather large and bulky.
