I only expect 24 months of use. $100/year should be expected ***Major downside is poor heating*** must use warm water then unit makes it slightly hotter (as main complaint with other reviews) Due to pricing I'll only recommend buying while on sale (Xmas. Spring. And Xmas-july) the accessories are useless and no storage options (I only bought for BASE @ easier to store post-maintenance without worries about leakage = everything else is useless @ requires a different product portable version -or- steam mop = must buy 2/3+ types DONT EXPECT an all-in-one) ***bissell cleaning supplies are generic*** (only buying the name @ not the performance)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we lived in our previous place we were renting and I had an old Bissell carpet cleaner that didn't work that well mostly because it was a base model and a decade old. The carpeting was only in rooms that the animals weren't allowed in so we didn't really need to use it much. When Bissell released the Crosswave models I convinced my husband to let me purchase one so I could keep our hard floors cleaner than a gross mop and bucket and he let me invest in one. And it works fantastic on hard floors and area rugs! But it isn't made for carpets. With that being said, when we bought our house we threw out the old carpet cleaner and we didn't buy a new one. We inherited a pretty stained carpet from a dog and three kids that lived with the previous owner who loved wine... or at least staining the carpet with it. We decided the carpet was going to have to be replaced but we would just keep it as clean as we could for now. With that being said, I am a little obsessed with cleaning in general so my cleaning routine is daily vacuuming and weekly washing of the floors with the Crosswave. However, I scrubbed the carpet on my hands and knees with a brush and double concentrated carpet cleaner then tried to suck up the excess liquid with the Crosswave as I have done on the hard floors when they got wet. That night I decided to invest in a new Bissell carpet cleaner . A couple days after the scrubbing my new Bissell came and I was floored at the results! I used the included pet urine eliminator solution, the steam pretreat function to go over the carpet forward and backward for a swipe and then the steam cleaning function to go over the carpet once with spray forward and then I went over the line slowly about four times to scrub and dry it. It was damp for a couple hours then dry. I am disgusted with how dirty the carpet was after all of my previous efforts and I am so happy I purchased this machine! The carpet is also such a better color now that it's truly clean!

I have my old bissell pet pro revolution and I'm praying it will fix this horrible mess. The dark brown side is the side I used this on - SEVERAL times. The light grey side is the carpet that has only ever been cleaned using the old cleaner.

However after buying 2 High End Bissells in 2 years Im currently Shopping for Another Product Vendor with Quality Assurance for more than 60 days. I have only used the Last Product I purchased Approx. 12mo ago and have used only 12-15x. With Short haired Micro Mini Daschunds who shed very minimally. As a Hairdresser I have a large clientele that I share positive and negative reviews with. And Unfortunately Bissell has changed in my book.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The handheld attachments will provide go amount of cleaning solution to surfaces but they have Absolutly no suction to help remove any of the solution forcing you to wait 18-24 hours to dry if you are unable to place them outside in a warm environment.

Just purchased- none of the attachment tools spray any cleaning solution, and the brush brushes spin while attempting to use hose with attachment tools, causing them to smell like they are going to burn up. This caused cleaning solution to leak all over my hardwood floor when attempting to clean my couch. I will be returning to go back to Hoover brand. I'm disappointed, because I really wanted the steam for pet messes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using carpet cleaner machines at home for over 30 years and this is carpet cleaner is by far the worst machine I have ever used. I put 128 oz of water/cleaner in the machine, and it only was able to retrieve 6 oz. This means 122 oz of dirty water soaked into my carpet and the machine didn't pick it up. I got my old carpet cleaner out and it picked up another 80 oz of dirty water, which I thought was bad until I received the Bissell. This machine has a poor design with almost no suction, I will be trying something else.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! The HydroSteam Revolution cleared a wear pattern better than the Rug Doctor I rented. Unfortunately, I could not use it anywhere else because it was too heavy for me to carry up and down 3 floors. I highly recommend it if you do not mind it being on the heavy side, such as having one floor or not being as old and feeble as me. I dislike that could not talk to a phone agent. A chat agent tried to call me stupid because I did not understand him when all he did was repeat the same sentences, no matter how I rephrased my question.

My carpets look like I had them professionally done. Happy I decided to purchase and do them myself and now I can clean them whenever they need it without calling a professional.
