[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look of this carpet cleaner - it’s slimmer than the one we’d previously had and I like the gold colored accent pieces that make it more attractive than other models. The carpet steaming and cleaning is very effective. My only complaint is that, like many large carpet cleaners, it’s pretty heavy. So I plan to simply keep it upstairs (our more heavily carpeted floor) to avoid having to lug it up and down the stairs.

However, the only thing I dislike like about the Bissell hydrosteam is that the water tanks are only one gallon. Bissell can easily make an after market kit containing two gallon tanks. I spend more time dumping and filling tanks than cleaning the carpet. Make it happen Bissell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam worked really well. I noticed a considerable amount of dirt that was cleaned out of the carpets and the couches. I tried it on high traffic areas and it seemed to get my carpets cleaner, but not perfect. The 2-in-1 self cleaning hand tool was easy to use and got my couches easily cleaned. The one negative was that it seemed like I needed to replace the water often, especially when using the carpet cleaning function. The look of the carpet cleaner is appealing. I think the small tub was meant to look sleeker, but its not as functional as a larger tub. I would have preferred to have a separate tank for the soap rather than mixing it in to the water tank. I didn't use the pretreater feature.

The upholstery attachment worked wonders on my dog's favorite hangout spots (read: every single chair she’s ever laid eyes on), and I was shocked—and mildly horrified—by how much grime it pulled out. But hey, knowledge is power... and now my furniture is actually clean. Bonus: the room smelled fresher, looked brighter, and honestly felt like I had just tricked my house into thinking it had a spa day. Highly recommend for pet parents, neat freaks, and anyone who enjoys the oddly satisfying joy of watching filth disappear before your eyes.

The overall design is sleek and modern, and it's surprisingly easy to maneuver for a deep-cleaning machine. I especially loved how effective the HydroSteam Technology was at tackling sticky messes and tough dirt. I used it on my living room sofa to clean up juice spills, and I couldn’t believe how much dirt it pulled out, it left everything looking refreshed and spotless. One of the biggest wins for me was using it in both of our vehicles. The upholstery looks practically new again, especially in my work car where the pretreatment feature worked wonders on ground-in grime. It really made a difference in lifting dirt before the deep clean. The 2-in-1 self-cleaning tool was another favorite, it made it easy to clean above-floor areas like couches, stairs, and even pet beds without hassle. Overall, this machine has been a game-changer in my cleaning routine and definitely exceeded my expectations.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had other carpet/upholstery cleaners before and this one is up to par. It did not blow me away but got the job done. I cleaned my upstairs carpets and my family room couch. The hand attachment did leak a bit when using it even after much “troubleshooting”. And I wasn’t a fan of changing “modes” on the handle, seemed like extra work. Again, did fine but I don’t know that it stands out as an amazing product. It is also quite big and heavy for those that have limitations this might but be for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using carpet cleaner machines at home for over 30 years and this is carpet cleaner is by far the worst machine I have ever used. I put 128 oz of water/cleaner in the machine, and it only was able to retrieve 6 oz. This means 122 oz of dirty water soaked into my carpet and the machine didn't pick it up. I got my old carpet cleaner out and it picked up another 80 oz of dirty water, which I thought was bad until I received the Bissell. This machine has a poor design with almost no suction, I will be trying something else.

The HydroSteam Technology worked wonders on tough messes like pet stains and dried-on spills, lifting them with minimal effort. I also loved the built-in Pretreater—it made dealing with set-in stains much easier. The 2-in-1 self-cleaning tool was great for above-floor areas like stairs and couches, and cleanup afterward was a breeze. Two of my favorite features: the cleaning solution leaves the room smelling absolutely amazing, and everything comes apart to be easily cleaned. The tool that’s included to clean out the nozzle and brush roll is a great addition. This product cleans thinner-pile rugs and carpets better than shag area rugs. I didn’t like how it left water around the perimeter of my area rug on the hardwood floor. It also made my thin-pile area rug curl up around the edges. I recommend vacuuming at night before bed so all the carpets and couches can dry overnight. The worst thing about this product is that it left clumps of pet hair at the end of each section I was steaming. Lastly, the cord is too short, in my opinion.

Not only do I have stains from spills, but I have a lot of potty accidents from the puppy. I’ve used the Bissell revolution HydroSteam several times now on my rugs, carpet, and couch, and it has been so nice to see my rugs go back to how they looked when I first bought them. I kind of thought one stain would never come out, but this machine almost took it completely away. And there is no urine smell from the dog anymore! I think the steam and pretreater function definitely helps with that. It was easy to use and put together. I didn’t have to clean too many components, which is kind of annoying with at home carpet cleaners. It wasn’t too loud and while it is bulky, it’s definitely worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the absolute best carpet cleaning product I have ever used and I have used many. Out of box assembly was a cinche, with a quick easy fill water tank and a separate dirty water tank it made filling and emptying simple. The dirty water tank was large and didn’t need to be emptied often. Next the steam feature. BEST part of the product! I have carpets, rugs, runners and hardwood floors. Normally I have to take my rugs and runners and move them because the water soaks thru onto my hardwood floors but this time these rugs were dry underneath and clean. The dog messes and pasta stains from the kids were gone in with one quick pass and it’s not overly heavy too. The suction was fantastic, I can’t wait to clean the stairs too. The cord is long enough for me to reach pretty far up the stairs and leave the machine at the bottom. Only downfall is it needs to sit on a rug or something because there’s some water that outputs while using the handheld tool. Lastly let me mention cleaning the machine. The whole scrubber comes apart so you can rinse it off and thoroughly clean it out. Prior cleaners didn’t have this feature and it made for a stinky mess later. In all 1000% recommend this product. You spend money on carpets and rugs. Keep them clean and smelling good. This machine is an investment that will pay off 10x.
