[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let's start with the most important questions. Does it work & is it worth the price? Yes & yes. With that said, be aware...it's not perfect. But no carpet cleaner is. Before buying you need to set expectations. No machine is going to make a 20 yr old carpet look brand new. I've had the professional guys clean my carpets & even they couldnt get out some set in stains. It's heavy & is a lot of work but does a good job. The main reason I bought this was because my cat had peed all over the carpet in one of the bedrooms and the smell was bad. 10x10 room took two full tanks to do. It got rid of the smell & made the carpet look very good. One key is to go slowly both on laying down the cleaning solution & on the passes to suck up the water. Instructions say two passes each but I found I had to take like 4 or 5 on some really dirty areas. Again, the key is to go slow & let the roller brushes scrub the area good & then go slow to make sure to suck up as much water as possible. Follow the instructions regarding cleaning the machine & putting the nozzle back on. Front first and rotate. They give you a stiick to get hair out of the nozzle when cleaning but I found that rinsing well (in the bathtub) got any hairs out pretty easily and didnt need the stick. While the machine is easy to use, make sure to practice putting the water tank and dirty tank on & off before use so you know how they go on and wont cause leaks. If you're getting leaks its probably because you didnt put the tank on correctly or didnt wipe off excess water after filling. Also, note...This isnt a vacuum cleaner. It's a capet shampooer. Make sure you vacuum your carpet well before use. One use for my whole house and it pays for itself. Since the pros charge at least as much and this does as good a job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE this carpet cleaner! Like, LOVE it. First and foremost it is SO easy to clean! The catch and clean tray is seriously next level design. You pop the tray and wipe it off and you're 90% done with the cleaning process. As a busy mom of four children and two dogs the quick and easy clean out is probably my favorite feature. Initially I was going to try to get the pink make up stain out of our living room rug, but I was so impressed with how well the HydroSteam maneuvered and cleaned that I did the whole rug! Normally when it's time to shampoo the children's carpets I hem and haw and dread the day, but with the HydroSteam I cleaned my four year olds entire bedroom carpet in less than thirty minutes. Did I mention how quick and easy the machine clean out is yet? It took less than 10 minutes to clean out the entire machine, rinse all the parts and be on to the next activity so we could enjoy the day! The pretreat and steam cleaning options came in clutch for tough set in stains. It cleaned some very dried out and stuck in yellow clay out of my kiddos carpet. You can't barely tell it was even there now. It doesn't take very long to heat up the pretreat steam which is awesome! It worked very well on new and older stains alike. I lose things often so I really enjoyed the flip top cap on the clean water tank and the clearly marked fill lines for cleaning solution and water. There is even a half tank fill line which I thought was a great idea. Sometimes I only need to spot clean a small section so that came in super handy and reduced water and solution waste. The handheld upholstery cleaner has interchangeable rubber and bristle heads and a storage bag included. I really liked that it's a 2 in 1 tool so it takes up less space in the utility closet. Overall, I'm really happy with this machine and can't wait to convince all my friends to buy one, too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam worked really well. I noticed a considerable amount of dirt that was cleaned out of the carpets and the couches. I tried it on high traffic areas and it seemed to get my carpets cleaner, but not perfect. The 2-in-1 self cleaning hand tool was easy to use and got my couches easily cleaned. The one negative was that it seemed like I needed to replace the water often, especially when using the carpet cleaning function. The look of the carpet cleaner is appealing. I think the small tub was meant to look sleeker, but its not as functional as a larger tub. I would have preferred to have a separate tank for the soap rather than mixing it in to the water tank. I didn't use the pretreater feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the HydroSteam for a few weeks now, and honestly, it's been a game-changer for cleaning up messes around the house. I mainly use it for carpets and area rugs because we have pets and kids, so spills and sticky messes happen constantly. It handled dried juice, mud, and whatever mystery stuff ends up in the rug without much effort. The steam really helps loosen things up, so I'm not stuck scrubbing forever. I've tried it on both thick and thinner rugs and it worked great on both. Some stains needed a couple passes, but overall it's way more effective than other cleaners I've used in the past. If your rugs take a beating like mine do, this thing is 100% worth it.

My toddler dropped a pink marker, which my dog then chewed and smeared all over our beige dining room rug. The steam attachment got it out, and I think the pretreater helped too. I finished the job with the larger steam vacuum, and honestly, the rug looked brand new. I loved the attachment tool — it made it so much easier to clean our couch, which my dog basically lives on. The wheels on the machine also make it easier to move around, which is nice given the weight. And the water tanks are one of my favorite parts: super easy to fill and clean, with a one-click in and out design and just two pieces to deal with. We had a different cleaner before, and the dirty water filter was such a pain — this is way more user-friendly. That said, it is heavy. I'm not dragging it out weekly — maybe once a season or for big messes. It also goes through water fast, and I found it a bit tricky moving from one rug to another without getting steam on our hardwood floors. One small annoyance: the clear top cover kept popping off when it bumped into walls or rug edges. All in all, it's great to have for bigger cleanups, but probably not something you'll use on the regular. If you've got a lot of rugs, kids, or pets, it's a solid backup to keep in the closet for when things get messy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So im a bit of a vacuum nerd. I do way too much research before I buy one and I get excited when I get a new one. This one absolutely did not disappoint. It is not a small machine but it is worth the space it takes up. My favorite feature by far is the Hydrosteam tech and I had the perfect opportunity to use it recently. I make spring rolls and when I do I make my own spring roll sauce with Thai sweet chili, pears and chili sauce in it. After I made this sauce I went upstairs to get some stuff done before dinner and I forgot to put the lid on tightly. We'll unfortunately I also have a curious cat who decided it would be so fun to push the container off the counter. By the time I came down the mess was in the carpet pretty well. I cleaned it up as best I could with some cloths before I got down to the business of breaking out the cleaner. I first pretreated the mess using the pretreat feature since the sauce is obviously a pinkish red and I didnt want it to stay in the rug in any capacity. After that came thay wonderful HydroSteam technology. It lifted the sauce out of the rug so we'll that I think the rug looked even nicer after the spill was cleaned. I also really like the color schemed thay Bissel is going with lately. They are very complimentary and the tools provided with the cleaner are actually really easy and efficient to use especially when doing light cleaning on my amber yellow couch. That couch is just light enough that it picks up stains fairly easily and this machine has already come in handy a couple of times for just that reason. If I was asked for a recommendation for a solid home use carpet cleaner, this would be the one id recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The front of the machine doesn't have the required weight for the machine to actually pick up all the water that is put into the carpet. I have two short haird dogs and they would have accidents in the house. I literally have to have one leg on the suction part as i shampoo the carpet just to get all of the water out of the carpet because I can still smell the pee. I have everything connected and secured the way its supposed to be, so I know that it's not user error.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Do not buy this stream cleaner. It's good at putting. Water and cleaner in your carpet. But not taking it out. This "cleaner" leaves so much water and cleaner behind. I'm talking right out of the box. So you can't say it must be clogged or anything like that. I got this after getting a puppy to help clean up any accidents. And after seeing how much water/ cleaner that it leaves I can't imagine how much pet urine is left in my carpet or even now pushed deeper in to the ppadding. If you like wet carpets get this machine. Of youblike clean carpets I would look elsewhere.

Overall, the machine does a great job with cleaning up the mess and removing stains. It was very easy to use and made cleaning up much faster. The machine itself is a little bulky but light enough to roll and carry around. The hydro steam feature helped to tackle messed easier. I was able to get a food stain out of carpet very easily. I also used it to clean up a pet stain on furniture and it was very fast. The self cleaning tool made it easier to clean the machine after using.
