I can't believe how well it cleaned my carpet…so much dirt was pulled from the carpet that I didn't even realize was there! I also love that you can actually see the steam so you know it is really working. It also comes with a carry case for all the extra attachments. I am usually not one to be excited to clean but the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam is making me want to steam clean every room!

I'm currently potty training my 2-year-old, and it has made handling potty training accidents so much easier. As a parent, being able to quickly clean stains as they happen is incredibly helpful, and having a machine with steam cleaning feels like such a win in our house. It honestly feels like one of the best tools to have on hand when you have little kids and carpets. For everyday spills, it does a great job as long as the mess hasn't been sitting for a couple of days. If it has, you may need to run over the area a few times to get it looking its best. I haven't tested it on really sticky messes yet, but for things like urine, milk spills, juice, and water on my rugs it has handled them well. I also really love the steam feature. Being able to disinfect and clean at the same time is one of my favorite parts, and seeing the cleaning happen in real time gives me confidence that my rugs are getting a deep clean. The self-cleaning cycle is another feature I appreciate. It's straightforward to use and helps rinse out the machine after cleaning so you're not leaving residue sitting inside. It makes the maintenance process feel much easier and quicker after finishing a cleaning session. My one small complaint is that once the machine is turned off and you pull it away, it tends to drip a bit of water as you move it. When it's stowed away, it can also leave a few drops of water where it was sitting. Aside from that minor issue, it really does work like a charm.

It is a no brainer when it comes to assembling it. Easy peasy! I like that it has an option for a cleaning mode and additional hose and attachments. The steaming feature works well and it really does the job and you can literally see the grime and dirt being sunction so you know it really does it's job! It is so easy to clean the attachments and brush rolls. I would definitely recommend it to a friend! It is a must-have! Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Revolution HydroSteam has been a game changer this past week on my carpet and upholstery! The machine is super easy to set up. I also love how the water levels and chemical levels are clearly marked on the tank so you are confident on the amount to add without needing to measure. Almost immediately I could tell how powerful this cleaner is. The suction is impressive and really pulls the dirt and stuck on particles up from the carpet. My tank water was very brown when I finished a high traffic room! Recently, my child got some sticky candy on a throw pillow. There was also some stubborn dog urine stains and hot chocolate stains on a rug for over a year. Using the attachment for the pillow and the cleaner for the floor, I pretreated with the steam and then went over the stains using the solution and steam. It did a wonderful job getting rid of the sticky residue and pulling up the stains on the carpet. While they aren't 100% gone, it's a huge improvement! The steam really helps make a difference in performance on cleaning up tough stains- as a bonus I feel like I am sanitizing the areas in my home, too! I felt the clean water in the tank was used up quicker with the steam option, but I'm ok with that knowing my floors are getting the best cleaning treatment. The self-cleaning cycle is easy to do. I appreciate the cleaning tools to make clean up more efficient. I am hoping it makes a difference in keeping lines clean from build up or mold. I wish the tanks had a vent so they can dry quicker. A longer power cord would make it easier to clean larger rooms, too. Overall, this is the best cleaner I've ever owned, and it's sharp looking, too with its black and copper accents!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell revolution hydrostream is an excellent vacuum and carpet cleaner. I love how easy it is to set up straight out of the box. Insert the handle, and pretty much ready to go. The Clean water tank is simple to fill up with the carpet cleaner solution and water. I will say the solution runs out very quickly especially if you have large stains in the carpet. I was able to clean multiple rooms at my house and the carpets look very clean. I was impressed to see how dirty it was to begin with. Now I feel like my house is a lot cleaner especially having kids running around the carpet all day long. The vacuum itself comes with a few accessories to clean couche and other spot treat areas. It has a built-in steam function that is ready and no more than 35 seconds, I timed it and it's fairly accurate. I'm able to pre-treat certain spots in the carpet using just steam and then deep clean and shampoo right after. I love that feature. The only thing I would say that is kind of a bummer for me is the drying feature as it takes quite some time to dry. Not a deal breaker but would be nice for a quick dry function that is powerful. The holding the handle down and release to dry is something to get used to as well. It's not overly loud compared to other vacuums I've used before but it definitely isn't quite. It does the job well, it is very effective. It's also a bit bulky and heavy but is expected from carpet cleaners.

It works great for everyday messes, especially with kids, and made a noticeable difference in how fresh and clean my carpets look. We recently had a flood and have been cleaning everything up, and this has honestly been a lifesaver. You can clearly see the difference on my installed carpet—one side versus the other is noticeably cleaner. It really helped bring the carpet back and remove stains that I didn't think would come out. We also have multiple carpets and rugs with different colors and textures, and it worked well on all of them. You can see the difference in the before and after, and the dirty water tank was shocking—it pulled out so much grime, which made me feel like it was truly deep cleaning and not just surface cleaning. For sticky or stuck-on messes, it does a really good job. The steam feature helps loosen everything up so it's easier to remove. Some tougher spots needed a couple passes, but overall it handled them much better than a regular carpet cleaner. The steam function is one of my favorite features. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine is very powerful and looks very sleek. The instructions were simple and clear. After putting it together, I was sure that I would love it. As a disclaimer, I do not have pets but I do have 4 young children and plenty of carpet in my home. I liked the steam power and the liquid releasing on the bottom as you push the vacuum. I could see the spills getting lighter and lighter over time, but it did take quite a few minutes of back and forward strokes. After a few moments, I noticed that the carpet looked dirtier than before! Turns out, the dirt that vacuum is collecting mixed with the liquids from the cleaning products were clumping together falling out from the vacuum. It was quite gross. I turned over the machine and could see where the buildup was happening. I cleaned it out and continued vacuuming but this happened repeatedly. When I opened the compartment to attach the handheld attachment, I could see a buildup of dirt there too (after using the full size vacuum but never the handheld yet). The handheld cleaning was pretty thorough and did a decent job. It also has a self clean feature which is super simple. Cleaning out the machine was relatively easy as well. Overall, the vacuum does a decent job getting out tough stains but does buildup grime during a single use and the grime will fall out of the machine while you are cleaning which is gross. I have attached before and after photos as well as the grime buildup (where the droppings fall from).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cleaning with the Bissell Revolution Hydro steam is so satisfying and also addicting! The product was easy to assemble, and the instructions were clear. It even comes with some cleaning solution to get you started. The obvious first choice was tackling a white rug in an area of high traffic. I spot treated some areas with stain remover as instructed and did the steam pre-treat. I then went over the whole area rug steam cleaning. The size of the tank was perfect. The steam never stopped, the heating light stayed lit and the amount of water dispensed onto the rug didn't soak through. We are a “no shoes” house with regular vacuuming and the dirty water tank after cleaning just half the rug was already brown. Just as the manual indicated, it took about 3-4 hours to dry. The results were great, with the spots all gone! The rug was looking pretty dingy before and has been totally brought back to life. The upright format is ergonomic and facilitates cleaning in a larger space. I do wish the steam worked with the attachment but it is great to have the attachment options even without it. It is worth mentioning this machine is not lightweight. It is very heavy- it takes effort to push and pull as the vacuuming is manual, and even more so to carry up the stairs. It is likewise bulky to store however the dirty water tank is easy to remove and light to carry and clean.

You name the potential stain, I'm sure one of my children has left it behind on my carpet at one time or another. I am a longtime fan of Bissell products and have owned their floor cleaners, hand helds, and carpet cleaners. The Revolution Hydrosteam is by far my new favorite! This machine has power!! I appreciate that the steam came to temperature quickly and totally added to the cleaning power of the machine. I used it in the office/playroom where my kids frequently play with play-dough and use expo markers, while eating the occasional lolly pop. With a few passes, the Revolution Hydrosteam effortlessly removed the stains! The suction power is superior and my carpet was left the slightest bit damp after cleaning. I also brought the machine to my son's room where he puked a few months ago. At the time I cleaned and disinfected the carpet with my hand held followed by my carpet cleaner. The carpet looks clean but the texture was a little off and I could still detect a slight odor. The Revolution Hydrosteam has eradicated the odor and the texture is back to normal. What a life saver!! Cleanup was a breeze. The dirty water tank has a large opening that makes it easy to clean and disinfect. I like how the black tray inside the brush roll cover can be removed. It was easy to wash and wipe out all the carpet lint that can get stuck in other machines. The only improvement I'd make is to extend the power cord. I found it to be a little short for some of my rooms. I don't often use the hand held tough stain tool, but I do appreciate its self cleaning capability. Anything that can clean itself is a plus in my book! Overall, the Revolution Hydrosteam is a powerful carpet cleaner. The steam truly sets it apart from other carpet cleaners and adds to the stain cleaning power of this machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For context, we have two boys and a girl (ages 8, 5, and 2) plus an elderly coonhound. Our dog sheds like crazy and sometimes pees on the carpeted floor in her sleep. We purchased a Bissell pet carpet cleaner that was on the basic end but it was reliable for cleaning up most of the messes we had to deal with.. until the kids tracked something sticky on the carpeted stairs and coffee got spilled on our light gray couch and a bunch of other things we realized our basic carpet cleaner was not going to be able to clean. Enter: Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam So many upgrades on this version! The steam pre treat feature is super helpful for those sticky messes. The one I mentioned about the stairs that ended up drying into a hard clump? Yeah, I awkwardly held the full machine on the steps to use the steam feature (the nozzle attachment doesnt do the steam) and it was so worth it! After I steam treated, I used the nozzle attachment and bam, the sticky stuff was gone! I tried everything short of cutting the stuff out of the rug and this machine did it in 15 minutes. With that success, I got to work on the year old coffee stain on my couch. I attached before and after photos of that. I think it did pretty well considering I had no expectations for a set-in stain like that. The nozzle attachment is super helpful and I see myself using it in the near future on other messes. A great feature on the attachment is the self clean option that was really easy to work. I will say, that my dogs fur clogged the sprayer on the nozzle so toward the end of cleaning all my stair landings, the spray was not working. I vacuumed the stairs first, but my dogs fur really works into carpet. What ended up fixing the issue was disassembling the hose attachment and fully cleaning it by running a water stream through the hose to flush all the fur out. (After the fact, I realized what the gray stick was for - there is a nozzle clean out tool included!) The other feature I liked was how easy it was to clean. If you have a carpet cleaner, you know they are usually super annoying to clean. This one isn't! The front cover comes off and its very easy to clean every spot and put right back unlike other machines that have nooks and crannies that you have to use a screwdriver to undo and fully clean then let air dry before reassembling. Plus, the dirty water tank has a lid that fully comes off for easier cleaning! I can reach my hand in and get all the dirt and grime out of the tank unlike my other Bissell. Shout out to the clean water tank as well for having a larger opening that makes air drying faster than my other version! No more waiting around for all the parts to dry before storing away. Looking forward to not stressing at every spill, mess, or tracked in muddy paw print thanks to this Bissell! TLDR: if you have kids or a dog, get this one. Steam pretreat, self cleaning nozzle attachment, easy clean features. It will make your life easier.. just get it!
