It's easy to use, looks sleek, and handles tough carpet messes better than any machine I've owned. The HydroSteam Technology made quick work of sticky spills and ground-in dirt—especially in high-traffic areas and rugs. I loved the built-in Pretreater for targeting old stains, and the 2-in-1 self-cleaning tool was great for couches, stairs, and pet beds. Overall, it's efficient, powerful, and worth the investment for a busy home.

I had unreal expectations that my neglected rug would look like new again...it didn't, but the amount of dirt removed from it was impressive. I had a pro heat 2 for many years and we shared it with our kids so it was used often and worked like a champ. I believe this machine will also work hard for many years. I liked this machine so much I also purchased the pet hair eraser lift off vacuum cleaner and I couldn't be happier with it.

I have two dogs in my house and had several areas that needed some attention and the Hydrosteam did the trick with ease! It was also very easy to put together and a breeze to clean. I used the handheld feature for some small furniture and it worked wonderful for that as well. All stains are gone and things look almost new. I would certainly recommend this product for anyone in search of a new carpet cleaner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had other carpet/upholstery cleaners before and this one is up to par. It did not blow me away but got the job done. I cleaned my upstairs carpets and my family room couch. The hand attachment did leak a bit when using it even after much “troubleshooting”. And I wasn't a fan of changing “modes” on the handle, seemed like extra work. Again, did fine but I don't know that it stands out as an amazing product. It is also quite big and heavy for those that have limitations this might but be for you.

Just purchased- none of the attachment tools spray any cleaning solution, and the brush brushes spin while attempting to use hose with attachment tools, causing them to smell like they are going to burn up. This caused cleaning solution to leak all over my hardwood floor when attempting to clean my couch. I will be returning to go back to Hoover brand. I'm disappointed, because I really wanted the steam for pet messes.

As a parent of young kids and two giant dogs (that's 8 muddy paws) who love our couches, this machine has been a game changer. It's lightweight but also has a hefty, well-made feel. I've used a lot of different carpet cleaners, and this one just feels solid in hand. The 2-in-1 pet upholstery tool works really well—it makes cleaning up constant spills and pet messes on my fabric couches so easy. Its taken the stress out of cleaning our carpets with dogs and three kids. I've used it multiple times, tackling everything from pet accidents to everyday dirt, and I love the steam action. It gives me confidence that I'm getting a deeper clean, and the strong suction means my carpets are nearly dry right after cleaning. The steam heats up within 35 seconds, and helped lift up stuck-on slime and silly putty from my carpet! Even with heavy use across all three stories of my house, this unit has performed flawlessly. What really sets it apart is how user-friendly it is. Setting it up is a breeze, and cleaning it after use is just as simple. With other carpet cleaners, it sometimes feels like the hassle outweighs the benefits—but not with this one. I actually look forward to using it because I know it's going to do an amazing job. I've already recommended it to friends, and I wouldn't hesitate to do so again. If you have kids, pets, or just want a powerful and easy-to-use cleaner, this is absolutely the one to get.

The reason I only gave it one star is because of the dirty water tank, it doesn't fit properly and I dropped it 3 times, having to re-wash my carpet the same number of times because of the dirty water that fell. It's a shame that it works very well, but its dirty water tank doesn't.

I felt the instructions were lacking a bit, but thanks to videos I think we figured it out. Overall, I like this product and would recommend it. It's a BIG cleaner, so if you have a small space, the footprint is worth considering. However, if you have the space and lots of carpets, this is worth looking at!

I noticed a considerable amount of dirt that was cleaned out of the carpets and the couches. I tried it on high traffic areas and it seemed to get my carpets cleaner, but not perfect. The 2-in-1 self cleaning hand tool was easy to use and got my couches easily cleaned. The one negative was that it seemed like I needed to replace the water often, especially when using the carpet cleaning function. The look of the carpet cleaner is appealing. I think the small tub was meant to look sleeker, but its not as functional as a larger tub. I would have preferred to have a separate tank for the soap rather than mixing it in to the water tank. I didn't use the pretreater feature.

I have a young child, two cats and previously an elderly dog. Although very high quality carpet, stains would just not come out using a popular spot machine or scrubbing with the latest and greatest removers. I had hope the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam would do better and WHOA. My expectations were surpassed. First, the machine was easy to assemble and the directions for use were simple to follow. I was up and running in about 5 minutes. There were a few spots I used the built in pre-treater picture, which made a huge difference in those long set-in stains from pet and kid vomit. Attached are pictures of a before and after spot - I had a hard time finding the after spot! One of the greatest features of this machine is the ease of cleaning once finished - it has a hair catcher, filter and the pieces are easy to take apart and reassemble once dry. And I was able to get rid of my spot machine! The Bissell Revolution HydroSteam has a self-cleaning tool you can switch that allows you to clean furniture and stairs. Overall, I highly recommend any one looking to get their carpet looking new again to purchase this machine.
