Very Solid Carpet Steamer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't had the luxury of using an upright carpet steamer in quite some time as hauling the massive one from my parents house is always a chore. When I unpacked the Hydrosteam I was pleasantly surprised on its over size and build quality. Design wise it's simple enough to quickly assemble from open, and then read through the first couple pages to make sure you understand what the modes on the rocker switch perform. Fill it up with solution and you're ready to go. It needs 35 seconds to come up to temp for steam production and then you can pretreat a spot or go right into the steam/suction mode. I was excited to try it on my kids playroom first as we just got new carpet 6 months ago. With 2 kids and a dog the carpet has already gotten some invisible abuse. The carpet itself looked great minus one key stain I targeted. Despite its modest appearance, the waste water canister was very clearly dirty and helped solidify how well this machine was able to clean. I did need to do a few passes on the specific stain but to be fair it's been set for well over a month. The steaming works and it's just tap water and solution. I was able to complete the room and a runner with the entire 1 gallon tank which used about half the solution in the mini samples included. I probably used more steam in the playroom than was needed but it was my first attempt and the window of time to clean that room is narrow. Clean up of the steamer was pretty simple, parts all pop out pretty easily and rinse under the faucet. Quick dry in the basin and then back on before I store it away. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the Hydrosteam. Functionally it doesn't have too much to complain about. Plenty of power and useful attachments. My only complaints are that it does seem to use a lot of the solution mixture and the carpet itself was more damp than I felt it should have been after multiple passes. Lastly, the rose/copper trim is made of plastic, I had assumed before opening it that it may have been metal which would have made it appear more premium. Not a dealbreaker by any means just an observation.
Very impressive Especially for Stubborn spots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Bissell cleaning machine on my living room rug. The rug is pretty light, so it shows dirt easily, and this machine pulled out a lot more dirt than I expected. There was also a spot on the rug that had been there for a while. I focused on that area using the steam mode and after going over it a couple times the spot was completely gone. In one of the photos you can see the place where the stain used to be and now it just blends in with the rest of the rug. The steam feature is nice because it helps loosen the dirt before the brushes clean it out. It worked really well on the areas that were a little more stubborn. I also like the self-cleaning feature! It's simple to run and makes cleaning the machine much easier. I am really happy with it. The rug looks a lot cleaner and fresher than before!!!
Awesome Carpet Cleaner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam is truly an incredible carpet cleaner. As a mom of four kiddos, a dog, and plenty of bonus kids running through the house, I need something that can keep up with real-life messes—and this machine absolutely delivers. Its cleaning power outperforms every carpet cleaner I've used before. The design is sleek and modern, and the suction power is outstanding, making even big messes feel manageable. The Hydrosteam feature is a game changer for sticky spills and refreshing area rugs. I love using steam in my home because it helps me keep things cleaner and safer for my family. One of my favorite features is the self-cleaning function. As a busy mom, having one less thing to scrub out before putting the machine away is a huge win. It's especially helpful when you're tackling a quick mess and need to move on to the next task without slowing down. Overall, the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam has made a noticeable difference in how clean my carpets look and feel. It's powerful, easy to use, and genuinely helpful for a busy household.
Best Wet Dry Vacuum Ever
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam Wet Dry Vacuum. I have to say that I was honestly blown away by how well it worked. We have a dog and 3 small children. There's stains in our rugs that have been there for years. I tried everything to remove them with no success. This vacuum literally removed all those stains. It's like I have brand new carpets again. Now I look forward to cleaning my carpets because they actually look clean when I'm done. So if you haven't tried this Vacuum yet I suggest you run, not walk and get yourself one today. You'll be so glad you did and your carpets will definitely thank you for it.
Works Okay Very Bulky
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to try the Revolution Hydrosteam, with three kids, a parrot, and a cat. I tried it on bird poop on a rug, kid vomit on a couch, and what I assume was once a lollipop on LVP flooring. Overall, it was helpful, although it is a lot to lug around. I liked that I could just use steam on the hard floor/lollipop situation, and it did help me get it cleaned up fast. However, I probably could have just scraped it up with a little water on a rag in the time it took to bring the machine into the kitchen, and it felt like a lot of work to get up a small sticky mess. I also used it for bird poop on a black and cream rug. You can see in the before and after pics below that it didn't make a ton of difference, and that's with a steam pre-treat. The machine, on the clean/steam setting, releases a LOT more water than I anticipated, and it took a long time to stop sucking up water when I was done with the cleaner. I also inadvertently created a puddle that came out from under the rug, and then I had to prop the rug up to let air circulate underneath so it will dry. Luckily, I did that before using it on my couch, so I didn't use as much water there. I would hesitate to use it on carpet, where you wouldn't be able to get air circulating in order for it to dry completely. The vomit on the couch was no longer a stain, but still had an odor, and it seems to have eliminated that, although I could have potentially done that just with the enzymatic cleaner and not the machine, and cut the "don't sit on the couch" dry time significantly. I ran the self-cleaning feature just to try it, which was easy to do, although there was nothing stuck in the machine so I don't know how well it works. Overall, I think it's very bulky for just a steam cleaner, and my recommendation would be to just buy a smaller handheld option that would store smaller and be more portable, unless you find yourself using a steam cleaner on a very regular (daily) basis or over very large areas.

Great on both pet and kid messes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a busy mom of two kiddos and a dog, I'm constantly cleaning up messes around the house. This week I used the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam Carpet Cleaner to tackle kid vomit, dog urine, and even dog vomit that landed on our area rugs. These are usually stubborn stains, but this carpet cleaner cleaned them up quickly! One of the messes had been sitting for about a day, so I used the steam feature first to loosen the stain, then switched to the clean mode to fully remove it. It worked really well! For another mess, I used the handheld attachment, which was incredibly easy to use and made spot cleaning simple. I also love that the machine has a self-cleaning mode, which helps rinse out the system after use! Another thoughtful feature is the tool that helps remove debris from the front of the machine, making it easy to keep everything clean and running smoothly. This carpet cleaner has been a huge help for my busy and active household with kids and pets. I'm impressed with how well it handled some pretty tough messes!
Best carpet cleaner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was extremely impressed with the overall cleaning power of the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam. It did an incredible job lifting dirt and stains from my carpets and left them looking noticeably cleaner and refreshed. Even areas that get a lot of foot traffic looked brighter after just one pass. It also handled sticky and stuck-on messes much better than I expected. I tried it on a few tougher spots and it broke them up and removed them with ease. The combination of the cleaning solution and strong suction really helped pull the mess right out of the carpet fibers. The steam power feature is one of my favorite parts of this machine. I really appreciate that it uses real steam because it helps loosen dirt and grime much more effectively. It made deep cleaning feel much more thorough and helped tackle stains that normally take multiple attempts. The self-cleaning cycle is another feature I loved. It was extremely easy to use and made cleaning the machine afterward simple and hassle-free. Instead of spending extra time trying to rinse everything out myself, the machine basically takes care of it. Overall, I absolutely love the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam. It's powerful, easy to use, and makes deep cleaning carpets so much easier. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable carpet cleaner that delivers great results.
Practical and Effective
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Assembly was quick and easy, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow throughout. Be sure to vacuum thoroughly beforehand with your regular vacuum before washing the carpet. The Bissell machine comes with an upholstery tool and hand cleaner that are useful for furniture and tighter spots where the main unit can't reach, and both work well for stubborn stains that need a bit more focused attention. The self-cleaning cycle is also a nice feature. It's specifically for the hose and wand extension, but that makes sense since there isn't really another practical way to clean that part well. You just run it through the cycle and it handles it for you. The cleaning power has been solid. I used it on a short pile carpet with some set-in stains I wasn't confident would come out, and it handled them without much effort on my part. One thing I appreciated was that the carpets didn't feel drenched afterward, which is a common complaint with carpet cleaners in general. Drying time was reasonable. The steam function is what sets it apart from a standard carpet cleaner. It uses real steam, and you can tell the difference when it comes to breaking down stuck-on messes rather than just pushing them around. So far this machine has done everything I've needed it to do and I haven't run into any issues.
The deep clean you need
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used a few carpet cleaners over the years, but the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam really stood out in terms of cleaning power. The first time I used it I could immediately see the difference in the carpet. It pulled up a lot of dirt that I didn't even realize was still in there, and the carpet looked brighter afterward. One thing I really liked was how well it handled sticky spots and older messes. Normally those take several passes, but using the steam pretreat seemed to loosen them up so they came out much easier. It was especially helpful in areas that get a lot of foot traffic. The steam feature is probably my favorite part of the machine. Knowing it's actually using real steam made it feel like it was doing a deeper clean, and it seemed to help break down stains before the brushes even got to them. The self-cleaning cycle was also a nice touch. It was really simple to run and saved me from having to take everything apart to rinse it out. Overall, it made cleanup after using the machine quick and easy. Overall, I'd say this cleaner is powerful, easy to use, and has a few features that make it feel like a step up from most standard carpet cleaners.
Wonderful steam clean function
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm overall very happy with the new steam clean first Bissell shampooer. Unboxing and assembly is very simple and quick. I used to have another Bissell model that burned out and I have been without one for a while. First I tried this on my need to be replaced bedroom carpet. It's a light color and hasn't been cleaned in years. The first pass I thought the steam only was the only option, so make sure you are on the correct setting. There is no option to not use steam that I am aware. I figured out the correct way shortly after, and am pleased with results. My carpet felt so much cleaner and smelled really nice from the actual soap. It can't bring it back to life completely but I can tell a difference. The second area I tried was a 3” red ketchup stain on the same light oatmeal colored carpet. It's been neglected for months. I think the steam helped loosen the stain before soaping. This small area took a few passes but it did fully come up. I noticed that my carpet was dry much quicker than the older model (I'm talking just a few years old). The manual says 3-4 hrs I believe, and it actually was 3-4 hrs in areas that had a full soak of several passes with the trigger held. I am now a believer of the pre steam miracle. So happy to have this whole home steamer and tackle all of my furniture shortly!
