It cleans so well and makes my living room carpet like new. It was amazing at doing everything my house needs it do. We have a shag carpet in our home which makes me always wonder if it is getting clean with the regular vacuum cleaner, but this machine gives me that assurance. It had such great cleaning power, and I not only saw the dirty water cycle in, but I could also feel the suction. I had a stain on my floor that I couldn't quite get out by hand and the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam got it out! The steam power function with real steam did the trick to loosen it and make it clean right out. AMAZING. Best of all, the worst part of cleaning carpets is the wait time for everything to dry. It dried so quickly, probably a half hour or less! Just what this busy mom of 3 needs! The stair tool and detachable cleaner made it possible to take this large machine everywhere in the house. It cleaned everything from my dining room chairs to my stairs. It's easy to assemble and use. The self-cleaning cycle is something I've never had in a carpet cleaner, but I love it! I've had carpet cleaners in the past that start to smell and just feel a little “gunky” but this one cleaned itself and makes me feel confident that I won't have that problem in the future. All in all, if you are looking for a carpet cleaner, this is it! If you have pets in the home, I'm sure it will be even more amazing.

I like that this vacuum allows me to clean my carpets much faster than my small handheld, which took forever to clean a small space. The fact that it vacuums and cleans with a single machine has cut down on hauling multiple cleaners to get the job done. It's straightforward to set up and use and comes with cleaning solutions. It has a large capacity tank so I can do plenty in one fill. The size is a little bulky so maneuvering it isn't super smooth. The steam aspect of this makes it more efficient at cleaning messes the kids make and I don't have to scrub as much. Overall this is doing a much better job at cleaning the carpeted areas of the house compared to my previous products.

It was surprisingly easy to assemble and start using. You simply click the handle into place and insert the clean water tank. I was honestly surprised by how lightweight it felt, which made it easy to carry up the stairs. The product feels very sturdy and I expect it to last a long time. It was very simple to fill the tank with water, and I loved the markings on the side of the clean water tank, so I knew exactly how much water and solution to add. After that, I simply plugged it in and it was ready to go. It didn't take long for it to heat it up. The power button on the vacuum seems a little odd (it has a protective plastic cover over it), but it works perfectly. The machine was very simple to use- squeeze the trigger to release the solution as you move the vacuum forward and release the trigger as you pull the vacuum back. I loved that there was a steam pre-treat option to help get out stubborn stains and felt like it worked well. The steam power function was by far my favorite feature. You can actually see the steam as you're using the vacuum, and it feels like it is getting the carpet so much cleaner. As a mom of six, there are constant messes, and this carpet cleaner quickly and easily tackled toothpaste and marker on my carpet. I was amazed that it got everything out so quickly and easily. We are a ‘no shoes in the house' family, and I assumed my carpets were mostly clean. I was wrong. I was both disgusted by how dirty the water was when I emptied the tank, as well as satisfied that the carpet was now so much cleaner. One thing I didn't realize at first was that you need to empty the dirty water tank before using the self-cleaning cycle. The first time I tried it, I didn't empty the tank and water squirted out of the attachment while I was running the self-clean cycle. However, after I emptied the dirty water tank, the self-cleaning function worked great. It was very easy to use and also pretty cool to watch! It was also very easy to disassemble, and I loved that the parts rinsed so easily. I've been really happy with this carpet cleaner so far. It's simple to use, powerful enough for everyday family messes, and left my carpet looking almost like new.

After putting it together, I was sure that I would love it. As a disclaimer, I do not have pets but I do have 4 young children and plenty of carpet in my home. I liked the steam power and the liquid releasing on the bottom as you push the vacuum. I could see the spills getting lighter and lighter over time, but it did take quite a few minutes of back and forward strokes. After a few moments, I noticed that the carpet looked dirtier than before! Turns out, the dirt that vacuum is collecting mixed with the liquids from the cleaning products were clumping together falling out from the vacuum. It was quite gross. I turned over the machine and could see where the buildup was happening. I cleaned it out and continued vacuuming but this happened repeatedly. When I opened the compartment to attach the handheld attachment, I could see a buildup of dirt there too (after using the full size vacuum but never the handheld yet). The handheld cleaning was pretty thorough and did a decent job. It also has a self clean feature which is super simple. Cleaning out the machine was relatively easy as well. Overall, the vacuum does a decent job getting out tough stains but does buildup grime during a single use and the grime will fall out of the machine while you are cleaning which is gross. I have attached before and after photos as well as the grime buildup (where the droppings fall from).

It was able to clean my carpets using water and the cleaning formula, but there were several things I did not like about it. It did a decent job refreshing the carpet and picking up general dirt. My carpets definitely felt a bit fresher after using it. However, it struggled with tougher spots. There was a stain I specifically wanted to remove, and even after going over the area multiple times with the steam and suction, it wasn't able to fully remove it. So while it works for basic cleaning, it didn't perform as well on sticky or stuck-on messes. Also, while cleaning, a lot of dust and debris accumulated inside the brush head. I had to frequently stop and remove clumps of dust or else balls of dust would just stay on the carpet. My carpet may have been particularly dirty, but having to do this many times was frustrating. I did appreciate that the machine uses real steam, and the steam power function was a nice feature to have. It helped loosen some dirt and gave the carpet a refreshed feel, but it still did not fully remove the tougher stains. The self-cleaning cycle was a helpful feature and fairly straightforward to use. It makes rinsing the vacuum easier but you still have to clean other compartments though. There were other drawbacks as well. The power cord is pretty short, so I had to keep moving to different outlets while cleaning larger areas. The drying time also took longer than expected. The instructions said the carpet should dry in about 3–4 hours, but in my experience it took closer to half a day. The machine itself is also fairly large and heavy to move around. Cleaning the brush head requires removing screws, which makes maintenance a bit inconvenient. You also really need to read the manual carefully to understand how to operate everything properly, so if you are new to carpet cleaners there may be a bit of a learning curve. On the positive side, the water tank held enough solution and water to clean my entire bedroom and more, which was great since we do have a fairly large area. I also liked that it came with additional brush heads and a smaller cleaning attachment so you can clean smaller areas without moving the entire machine. Overall, it's an okay carpet cleaner. It works well for general carpet refreshing and basic dirt, but it struggled with tougher stains and some design issues.
