[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 4 kids and 2 dogs and sometimes our carpets just need a little extra help. This cleaner has been wonderful! We can deep clean our carpets without outside help and the help refresh the room and make it feel more like when we first moved in. Thankfully we haven't had many crusty/stick-on messes, mostly dog hair and stains, crumbs stuck in the carpet fibers. It helped clean all of that. I do agree with some of the other reviewers that it can leave the carpet wet, and found adding extra weight to the base to increase contact and thus increase suction helped to remove more water. I'd recommend also adding fans to the room to help ensure everything fully dries! Overall we love it and will keep using it to deep clean our carpets.

Right out of the box, it is clear the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam is a quality product. It has a sleek design and is very easy to assemble, use, and clean. As a mom of two toddlers and cats, my cleaning routine needs to be easy, quick, and effective. I started with the steam pretreat function and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the machine warmed up (35 seconds) and how quiet the Hydrosteam was. I love that it uses steam to loosen up the tougher messes instead of more chemicals. It loosened and lifted stuck on food and dirt with a few backwards and forwards motions. The Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam is very easy to maneuver and has impressive cleaning power. I could tell an immediate difference as I was cleaning. The machine has strong suction so the rug/upholstery dried very quickly as well. Connecting the adapters so I could wash my sofa cushions was a cinch. I was able to wash my rug and sofa cushions in one go. A massive bonus is how easy it is to clean the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam. The components take apart and open up so you can pour out the dirty liquid, rinse, and dry it off for storage. The machine also picks up fibers and hair etc., while steam cleaning (amazing) and the solid junk is simply wiped out and tossed in the trashcan. The only downside is that it did not remove the several years old stains on my rug. I don't really blame the Bissell, however, as these stains have been on the rug for several years, and I have treated them with stain removers in the past with no success. Overall, I highly recommend the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam. It has impressive cleaning power, it suctions out moisture very well and is extremely easy to clean and put away. It is something I can use regularly for deep cleaning and maintaining my home because it's not a hassle to deal with at all.

I vacuumed my carpet before cleaning, and the Hydrosteam still picked up a ton of dirt and debris that must have settled further into the carpet. I used the steam pre-treatment on one stain in particular, and while I didn't notice the result at first, as the carpet dried there was a significant reduction in the stain. I honestly should have probably used the steam pre-treatment on the whole carpet. Just a few days after cleaning our toddler had an accident, so I used the steam pre-treatment over a larger area of the carpet, and it was noticeable how much more it had come back to life. Even just a few days later the Hyrdosteam was picking up all kinds of dirt. And I love seeing the steam come out from the carpet. It makes me feel like the carpet is cleaner of both dirt and germs. The Hydrosteam was able to pull up a lot of the water too, so the drying process was very quick. I will say, I struggled a little bit with the wand and hose, but am sure with a little more practice I'll have that down pat. It come with a lot of attachments, and I'm already planning my next cleaning job: the carpet in the cars.

To put it simply: I have mostly white carpets… along with two black dogs, two kids, and one very clumsy me. So my carpets definitely see their fair share of messes. The machine itself is a bit of a behemoth, so storage can be tricky if you don't have much extra space. That said, the cleaning power makes it worth it. I've used the SteamWash Max setting on some of the most heavily trafficked areas in our home, and while I was very satisfied with the results, I was also a little disgusted by how dirty the water was afterward—which honestly just proves how well it works! The carpet overall is more brightened and fresh looking! There are several small stains throughout my carpet that noticeably faded after just one use. They aren't completely gone yet, but I was impressed that they improved so much right away. Our outdated dining room unfortunately still has carpet, so when my baby dropped spaghetti sauce on it, I was nervous—but the cleaner handled it with no problem at all. The real steam cleaning feature is a big plus for me because it feels like the carpet is getting an extra deep clean. Cleaning the machine afterward was also surprisingly simple. It did collect some dog hair, but it was easy to remove from the catch and clean tray. Honestly, I never thought I'd say this about a carpet cleaner, but I actually look forward to using it. Now when a spill happens, I don't dread the cleanup nearly as much!

After using it, the dirty water tank was black, which honestly says everything. It clearly pulled a lot of dirt out of our carpets that regular vacuuming leaves behind. The room looked noticeably fresher and cleaner afterward. It did a solid job tackling everyday messes and many of the tougher spots. Some stains came out completely, while others needed a couple of passes or didn't fully disappear, but there was still a big improvement. For high traffic areas and kid messes, it definitely holds up. The steam feature is a standout. I really appreciated that it uses real steam, not just hot water. When we went over tougher spots a few times with the steam, it noticeably helped break down dirt and grime much better than standard cleaning alone. The self cleaning function is super convenient and easy to use. It takes the hassle out of maintenance, which is a big plus, especially after seeing how much dirt it pulls out. I don't write a lot of reviews, but this product is amazing. I just used it for the first time after receiving it this week, and it literally made my rugs loo like new again,. Now there are some reviewers that indited the machine left the rug too wet, but that is absolutely user stupidity. If you use the machine the way it is intended and follow the instructions, it leaves the carpet clean and nearly dry on the regular steam and clean setting. This unit is the only non-commercial unit on the market that includes steam. And it is effective. You can see immediately the difference between the pass you make and the rug next to it. Don't use too much chemical or get some foaming. Follow the instructions and it will be enough soap to clean the rug. Use only the soap that is recommended. Make lots of dry passes and your rug will come out as clean as new. Highly recommend this product.

With 3 kids, 2 dogs, and 2 cats, my carpets get a ton of traffic and plenty of messes, so I need something that can really handle everyday life. My favorite feature is definitely the steam function. The steam really helped loosen up tough, stuck-on stains that usually take a lot of scrubbing. I noticed a big difference when cleaning areas that had older spots or heavier dirt. It made those areas much easier to clean and the carpets looked noticeably fresher afterward. I also really like the extra features that come with it. The hose and attachments are great for cleaning stairs, furniture, and other areas that are harder to reach with the main cleaner. Having those tools made it much easier to tackle different spots around the house without needing another machine. Overall, I feel like it did a great job cleaning and refreshing my carpets, especially considering how much use they get every day in my house. The only downside for me is that I wish the suction was a little stronger to pull up more of the water and help the carpets dry a bit faster. That said, between the steam feature, the helpful attachments, and the overall cleaning power, it's been a really useful addition to keeping up with all the messes that come with a busy house

But this one was awesome! I am finally able to get the clean I want from the messes of 3 kids and an indoor Golden Retriever. The cleaning power was adequate and I really enjoyed the steam option. I don't think I'll ever have to rent a carpet cleaner again.
