[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My photos show a before and after, you'll see how well it worked on our neutral grey carpet by our highly trafficked front door. But first, the Bissel is much lighter and easier to push and pull than our last heavy, bulky carpet cleaner, its medium-small compact size makes it easy to store in the closet next to the vacuum cleaner, and it's simple to assemble out of the box. There's a tank for clean water plus cleaning solution and another tank for the dirty water suctioned off the carpet, both very simple to take off to fill or empty and then place back on the unit for use. The instruction booklet is clear and easy to understand, and the bag of attachments that comes in the box work great. Uncomplicated. I chose the MAX Clean plus Protect solution that came in the box, not the Pet solution since we don't have pets... but we do have a three year old that spilled black coffee on the carpet many months ago. After the unit preps the steam, you pull the trigger on the handle to dispense, release it to stop, and do passes back and forth to massage and suction the solution back into the dirty tank. I suggest more than a pass or two than the instructions say to make sure you're being thorough. The attachments were simple to use, too. But the real steam is what separates this unit from the rest -- it's like you're steam cleaning and shampoo-ing at the same time, and I have to say I was very impressed with the results. You can see in the first photo how dirty the carpet was, then in photo two what the carpet looked like just after cleaning, and the third photo is of the cleaning solution and the overall look of the carpet the day after. Some stuck-on dried applesauce from a few days ago lifted out of the carpet with just a few passes over the area. Granted, these photos may not do it justice but once we can do another round in a few months I have no doubt our carpet will be as nice as it can be -- not new, but next to new. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

From strong suction to a variety of useful attachments, this cleaner has a lot of great qualities that most shoppers are looking for. Especially for pet owners, it can be hard to find a cleaner that can clean and remove pet hair with the same veracity. The machine was very easy and intuitive to set up and I was ready to clean in a matter of minutes. The machine itself is beautiful with the rose gold and black color scheme. I will say, this is a mammoth cleaner! It is actually quite large which does make it quite heavy too. However, I feel like the weigh helps it push deeper into the carpet and get a deep clean. A bonus benefit of the cleaner that I have not experienced before is that the deep bristles not only pulled up embedded pet hair but also helped revitalize my matted shag carpeting. I had no idea how much dog hair was deeply embedded in my carpet! I do feel that the suction pulled out more water from the short carpet than my long carpet, but it seemed to work just as well. The steam power is great because I feel it sanitizes more than solution and water alone. I like being able to see the steam coming out because I know it is working. The hose attachment makes it easy to tackle small upholstery messes. However, I would say that the crevasse attachment tool is a bit cumbersome and the spray is hard to control when using it, so I would probably only use that when absolutely necessary. Cleaning up is a breeze. Between the self-cleaning feature, the cleaning tool, and the simple dirty water basin, I was cleaned up in under five minutes. Overall, this machine is wonderful and has the power to clean the way that I have been looking for. I really feel like my carpet is clean, sanitized, and pet hair free after using!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam Pet to test and here are my thoughts on it: If you're going to listen to any review, listen to me because I'm obsessed with clean floors and have purchased several carpet & upholstery cleaners over the years and have a good idea of what to look for in these machines, and can quickly tell if it's worth the investment, whether or not it's made cheaply, and what sets certain machines apart from others. I'm low income, so I understand how big of a deal investing in something this expensive can be. I won't lie on reviews to save others on a limited income from the heartbreak and disappointment of putting their hard earned money into something like this only for it to not live up to said expectations. So I'll do my best to give you as much details as possible, and they'll be honest. So for reference, I have 3 cats, and a pitbull that's shedding her winter coat and has skin issues that make her, and everything she touches stink. My living room rug, and a loveseat she's claimed as her own get the brunt of it. One of the cats we have is a stray I saved, whom just recently started spraying on the front of the dogs loveseat, and some on the rug… I also have children that just last week stepped on a container of jelly that was left out on the rug, making it explode. So this carpet cleaner couldn't have come at a better time! It was the perfect match up against this machine, and I think I have a good 2 cents on its performance. The overall cleaning power and its strong suction was impressive, even on a shag rug!! It cleaned way better than my old machine ever did(A Year old Shark CarpetXpert with StainStriker). There are 3 cleaning modes, Steam Pretreat, SteamWash and Max Clean. I was actually surprised by how little water was actually being distributed, yet how thorough of a job it was doing. It seemed to deep clean thoroughly and left it looking and feeling refreshed and like new. It had no problem cleaning up that sticky, dried on jelly stain, it pulled up dirt, and took the cat and dog smell away completely. I didn't have to make multiple passes either to get those results. It seemed to clean it thoroughly the first time as long as you take your time with it. The instructions are easy to follow and straight to the point, so learning how to use it and how long to make each pass, won't be an issue. It comes with a detachable hose and 2ntools for upholstery cleaning, which did an impressive job cleaning my couches, and had a very powerful suction, which I can't say the same was true for my old carpet cleaner. It also came with 2 sample bottles of cleaning solution which were helpful! It even has a quick dry mode which is a godsend, but even without using it, it does such a good job at sucking the water back up that my rug barely felt damp and wasn't noticeable to my kids or mother who were doing gymnastics on it within 20 minutes of me cleaning it. As for the Steam Pretreat Mode, it loosens everything up before you start the cleaning process which is so cool! And I think that it made a huge difference in the results I got! So don't skip over that part! The steam function isnt just marketing hype, it really does improve the results you get by effortlessly cleaning through grime with the heat of it and lifts stains effortlessly. The best selling point on this thing is the self cleaning cycle which is easy to use too. Just run it after each use, and the tools flush clean automatically with no hassle or gross buildup. This is a very important step, and I feel like if my shark carpet cleaner would've had this, then it wouldn't have gone downhill so fast, especially if you have animals in the home that shed. It's extremely tedious and time consuming work to unclog and clean everything by hand once the machine stops cleaning like it's supposed to, and 9 times out of 10 it never gets completely cleaned because you can't find the source of the problem easily. The machine itself is a bit heavy, which is to be expected, but you're supposed to be pushing it around, not picking it up, so it wasn't an issue for me but I could see older people possibly complaining about that. This machine is 100% worth every penny, and it's not a purchase you will regret a year or more later. I have never had a better carpet cleaner than this that literally has all the bells and whistles. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have throughly enjoyed every aspect of the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam machine so far. Delivery, unpacking and assembly couldn't have gone smoother. Everything is so well labeled on the machine itself along the way that I only picked up the manual to ensure I didn't miss anything prior to turning it on. The design is sleek and appealing, but doesn't compensate on functionality. I was impressed with the different brush attachments for the upholstery cleaner and excited to see a tool included for ease of cleaning the machine. I have owned a carpet cleaning machine in the past that did not include this cleaning tool and trust me when I say that little plastic tool is invaluable!! With 2 dogs, an almost 4 year old and one on the way, I was able to fully put this carpet cleaner to the test and will continue to do so for years to come. My entry way rug was the first to clean. There have been deep oil-like spots in it for quite some time and honestly, I have been casually looking for a replacement. Not anymore! The stubborn spots are practically unnoticeable unless on your hands and knees looking for them. I got these results within 20 minutes of unpacking the carpet cleaner and probably would have done so sooner without little child interference. Not pictured: I have also treated my daughter's bright red lipstick out of my cream colored couch and paint from a sun catcher, dog vomit, and Diet Coke out of my carpet. With all these incidents listed, I must add that while I enjoy the steam feature, our recent messes have all been solved with the SteamWash Max (II)” setting. Though, slime has just entered our lives after much protest, so I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the steam pretreat comes in handy. I also enjoyed the self cleaning cycle of the tough stain tool. It gave peace of mind before storing it after cleaning the lipstick off my couch. The last thing I'd want is for leakage from the tool to somehow transfer the next time I clean a stain. My one piece of advice is to make sure you read the manual prior to removing the dirty tank! Everything else was so effortless that I got a little cocky and didn't review and released the tank right onto the floor. Luckily, the machine sucked it right back up and I did a quick clean over it again. No fault of the machine at all, it was totally on me! Overall, I highly recommend this product. With a little one on the way, it's going to be a major part of my nesting phase. Emptying the dirty water down the drain is so gross, yet incredibly satisfying that it is no longer on the surfaces that my little one is going to be toddling around on.

I was really excited to try the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam, and overall, I'm very impressed. The cleaning power is strong. After using it, the dirty water tank was black, which honestly says everything. It clearly pulled a lot of dirt out of our carpets that regular vacuuming leaves behind. The room looked noticeably fresher and cleaner afterward. It did a solid job tackling everyday messes and many of the tougher spots. Some stains came out completely, while others needed a couple of passes or didn't fully disappear, but there was still a big improvement. For high traffic areas and kid messes, it definitely holds up. The steam feature is a standout. I really appreciated that it uses real steam, not just hot water. When we went over tougher spots a few times with the steam, it noticeably helped break down dirt and grime much better than standard cleaning alone. The self cleaning function is super convenient and easy to use. It takes the hassle out of maintenance, which is a big plus, especially after seeing how much dirt it pulls out. I also love the different attachments. It makes it easier to clean more than just carpets, especially with kids around. We have a light colored couch, which stains so easily. I cannot wait to use this for that. Not every stain disappeared from our carpet completely, but the overall cleaning performance, steam power, and ease of use make this machine a great choice for families. It made a visible difference in our carpets, and I would definitely recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Hydrosteam cleaner is powerful! I like that it heats up and uses steam to deodorize and sanitize without a lot of harmful chemicals. The steam appears to loosen and lift up dirt better as well. Going over the carpet with a wet pass then a few dry passes to suck up most of the surface moisture helped it dry a little faster. My rug was nearly dry in less than a couple of hours, though I would definitely wait overnight before using it. While it is powerful, it is also very loud. With the included instructions, it was fairly easy to put together, though not entirely intuitive. It did leak all over at first but I believe it was user error. Every time I paused or stopped the machine, it also spurted out water on the bottom. But while it was wet, it was not a large puddle. It also required more passes to clean deep-seated dirt. It honestly didn't look like it was removing any old stains or grime but the dirty water tank at the end told a different story--it had sludge on the bottom when poured out. All the accessories and tools that came with the machine are very well thought out, down to the hose in a bag. There aren't too many parts to clean and they're not too hard to take apart and clean. Even included is a long tool that removes hair from the brush roll on one end and cleans out the nozzle on the other end. Also, the self-cleaning mode for the tool was magic! With just a click, it looked like it went into reverse mode from dirty to clean. I am very happy not to have to spend a lot of money renting a machine or hiring a commercial cleaner. I can't wait to use this on more applications, like cleaning upholstered car seats that we've been needing to deep clean.

I used this product on my carpets, couches and a few chairs. It helped get rid of stains from my kids and dog that have been there for a while. Our carpets smelled so fresh and clean after using this product. We loved that this cleaner helped our carpets feel fresh and didn't leave a sticky residue like other cleaners we have used. It is so easy to use, and is very efficient. We were able to clean two living rooms, our couches and chairs in about 30 minutes. The steam function was great on our chairs and we instantly saw the gross stains get cleared away.

It even came with cleaning solutions to try. We were very eager to give it a try so we tackled a dirty entry rug that we always struggle to keep clean. We had a mix of dog hair, sand, dirt, mud and small rocks. A vacuum would typically get some of the small stuff but the rug never really looked clean. We laid on the cleaning solution and started letting the Revolution Hydrosteam go to work. After our first small pass much of the mess had been taken care of with ease. Lots of Steam loosened much of the mud and stains. The very powerful suction proceeded to remove the mud stains and rollers tackled the dog hair. Watching the suction pull the dirt and stains out of that entry rug was quite satisfying. So happy with the cleaning of the entry rug. We then decided to try to pull stains out of our kitchen chairs. Food stains, marker and some dried playdough. This was a great chance to use some of the cleaning attachments with the hose. We laid the cleaner and using the brush with some light scrubbing seemed to really clean them up. The powerful suction lifted the stains and dried playdough like it was nothing. Our used kitchen chairs ended up looking almost new. After completing the cleaning of the entry mat and the kitchen chairs. We used the self-cleaning which was very easy and left the unit ready to go for the next cleaning. The Unit was very easy to empty and clean. Even the dog hair on the rollers came off with ease. In Conclusion we had a great first experience with the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam. It well exceeded our expectations with the tremendous power and great clean. I would highly recommend this unit for anyone looking to clean those pesky rugs, carpets and cloths. Pet hair and messy problems will be a thing of the past.
