This is a great Santa Maria style grill. It well built with heavy enough materials to stand up to many years of use. I love that a quality cover is also provided with the grill. The grates are easily removed from their cradle for cleaning. Great price for what you get and better when you can buy it on a sale.

i bought my grill a couple weeks ago and my first cook was fresh Alaskan salmon absolutely awesome. little smoke flavor with salmon made it great. 2nd cook i cooked t-bone steaks therer were awesome also. there is a little learning curve but in no time you'll figure it out. christmas dinner were cooking 12 ribeyes, can't wait. fred

I own a Webber and a Green Egg, but I've always wanted to grill Argentinian style, but every time I looked at a Argentine Santa Maria Grill, they were way too expensive, up in the 5 to 7K. So when I found this one, I decided to give it a try. First of all, the assembly was so simple. The instructions were visual and well defined, every bold had a number and what was best, it had extra bolt, just in case I lost one. Another great detail, I don't particularly like the Argentinian V shape of the grille rods. I don't mind the juices of what I am cooking falling in the ambers and giving more flavor. But this grill has them out of cast iron, so the produce beautiful sear marks. I've already cooked some ribs and chickens and loved the absolute control of temperature and ambers. The only thing I wish, is that they also sold other accessories, like an angular griddle perfect for a cabrito or basio, or a rotisserie spinner, or a flat griddle for vegetables. Still, this grill turns a piece of cooking equipment into an entertainment center. A mate drink not included.

Purchased last month, assembled two weeks ago, cooked on it last week. Love it! Assembly was simple, but not easy. Good instructions, excellent packaging, high quality parts, all the tools are appreciated. Took me about seven hours to complete (hot sun, wear gloves!), but finished product is beautiful. I've been showing it off to my friends and neighbors.

as soon as my grandkids and got it together, they built a fire and grilled fresh trout on it . we love it. its so nice being able to control the heat by how much coals you put under it and easily raise and lower the grill, all the holes fit perfectly and there were plenty of extra bolts, etc. top qulity - you get what you pay for!

I'm still in shock that I get to own a Santa Maria type grill. I've wanted one for years, but the pricing was just out of control. I was worried that I was going to "get what I paid for" here and have a bbq that might not last that long, but I was pleasantly surprised that this thing is a beast! Incredibly heavy and well built! Took some time to build but was very straight forward and quite easy. Cooking over live fire is a craft that I'm still working on but there is no going back for me! Y'all! This grill is awesome!! It came with a super nice cover and assembled easy! I do wish it had a place to hang grill tools as you grill. But I don't use the cooking hooks so we hang tools like the tongs and basting brush on those. The grill is heavy but they have super nice locking wheels which make moving around easy and then lock it so it stays.

It is well built with the following exceptions. 1. The fire box has warped out in the back from the heat in the box. 2. There is a stainless steel horz. center brace to keep the 2 columns in place. This is not shown shown in the pictures, but is necessary for proper alignment. This brace makes distributing the coals more difficult and makes cleaning a chore. On the plus side it offers good bang for the buck and is well made with note to the above issues.
