Very, very, VERY high quality grill

I had high expectations for this grill, however considering the price I would expect that it would be a mid-tier quality. I was wrong, I am very surprised with the quality level, the attention to detail and how sturdy the construction is. While assembling I started to realize how much time the engineers put into thinking this thing through. I definitely recommend it!

Looks Great but...

It looks like a great product. Well-built and backed by this good company. However, I believe it is missing an essential element which is the “V-Shaped” signature Argentinian Grill. I understand it could increase the price, but maybe it could be offered as an option to guarantee fit?

Great looking grill / great assembly instruction

I purchased the Grill a month ago. Shipping took longer than stated but still not a bad experience. Impressed with the heavy duty steel and overall quality of the grill. Many parts but excellent easy follow assembly instructions only 3 minor part problems that any DIY person can correct if it occurs ( bad threading and 1 missing spring) cooked on it only 1 time so far but LOVED how it performed!!!

Versatile and Great Quality!!

There is a ton of value in the versatility of this grill. It can be used to grill burgers at high heat (and a ton of them with the size of the cooking surface), or cook low and slow with the grate raised up for results that are better than traditional smoking. The heat retention in the fire bricks is noticeable for long cooks. And the quality of the materials is on par with more expensive grills. Great value and a ton of fun to use!

Outstanding Grill for Wood-Fired Cooking!

I’ve used the Premium Argentine/Santa Maria BBQ Grill numerous times, and it never ceases to amaze me. This grill is a dream come true for anyone who loves cooking with wood coals. The flavor it imparts to the food is unmatched—rich, smoky, and deeply satisfying, making every meal feel like a gourmet experience. What truly sets this grill apart is its exceptional heat control. The ability to adjust the height of the grate allows for precise cooking, whether you’re searing steaks, slow-roasting vegetables, or grilling delicate fish. The craftsmanship is top-notch, and you can tell it was built with serious grilling enthusiasts in mind. Using this grill has reignited my passion for outdoor cooking. If you’re looking for a premium grilling experience that combines tradition with functionality, this is the one to get. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves wood-fired flavor and precision cooking!

Build strong, nice features, but some issues.

I bought this a few months ago and used it about 6 times. Besides being very sturdy and with good materials, I have a couple of issues with it. First, the metal bar that goes across the bottom of the grill over the bricks. This is very uncomfortable, being from Argentina I have never seen that before and it’s not great when trying to move hot coals, specially the back part. Another big issue is that when using the fire box, metal seems to expand and the grill gets stuck when moving up and down, even when using the metal bar, which looses a lot of the purpose of a a santa Maria/Argentina grill.

Best Grill!

I've cooked on gas rills, kamado grills, and kettle grills and this is easily the most fun and The best interactive grilling/cooking style that I have found. Whether it's just family or entertaining a large group, the food comes out great and the grill becomes a part of the experience for everyone. The quality of the materials is very evident, and it looks great too! I have gotten a ton of compliments on the grill and the food that it turns out.

Excellent Build Quality

I just purchased this grill, and I will say the quality is absolutely amazing, especially for the price. All materials are top notch. Build instructions are straight forward and fairly easy. It will take 2 people to lift and move the this grill while assembling the cart. All holes lined up perfectly, no issues at all with screws or alignment. I will be doing my first cook on this beast in a few days.

Hot Coals & Mighty Fine

My anticipation for the Argentine/Santa Maria Grill was inspired by Francis Mallmann. The order was placed with Great Joy & before my eyes the assembly was taking place. Great direction- by the way. We had the delight of cooking Christmas dinner with the whole family. The fire was started as the coals began their story of giving off heat. We had pineapple hanging, two guinea hens on those fantastic stainless steel hooks, mushrooms & lemon halves. The steaks were placed on the grill last as the grill was lowered just above the coals. There was room for sausage for appetizer as the grill space acomodates plenty of cooking surface. Everybody loved to crank the big wheel while the sound repeats it's progress. This method of Argentine open fire cooking has made my wife like steak off the grill again. Everything about the Argentine /Santa Maria grill is Tremendous, fire bricks, latches on the door ,grates of heavy cast iron, It's the BEST. Cheers to Backyard. We even bought the Granda Grill Gazebo.

Long awaited!!! I love it.

Ok. So I bought this grill in November 24’ because I am building a pool and outdoor kitchen. They just now reached the kitchen and this morning 5/28 I put the grill together out the box. First it is a VERY heavy box. You will need help and a dolly. I started building the grill at 5:30am and I finished at 11:45am. I was alone and it could have just been me. But put things together pretty regularly. There are a lot of pieces. They are marked clearly and are easily identified. But you have to search for them and some look alike but they are all numbered in bags. It is beautiful. I am in love with this grill. I have not cooked anything on it yet. But I can’t wait. All the materials are high quality. The BILT app was so helpful and I was able to flip the design and zoom in and out to make sure I was doing the right stuff. I recommend this purchase but get help if you can and know it will take some time but it’s worth it.
