I love Gruyere cheese so much and this did not disappoint! I love how it can be so versatile and the size and price are very nice. I love any type of cheese but this one has a spacing hint and you can tell it comes from France. The flavors are bursting in my mouth with every bite. I will repurchase!

I just tried this cheese for the very first time tonight to make a quiche and it is so good. It has that perfect nutty flavor you want from a good gruyere but it isn't way too strong or overwhelming.The best part is how incredibly smooth it melts because it doesn't get greasy or clump up at all. It would be amazing shredded over a casserole or just sliced up on a plate with some crackers. Plus you get a huge one pound block for a great price compared to the fancy cheese section at other stores. I am definitely adding this to my regular grocery list from now on.

We always like to keep block cheese on hand for snacking, recipes or entertaining. We also like to have a variety so I was happy to try Alpenhaus Gruyere because specialty cheese is a treat and I don't like traditional Swiss. As soon as I opened the package, you could smell the nuttiness and while the cheese is hard, it still had a smooth texture and sliced easily. I ate it in chunks on crackers but I know this will be delicious melted on French onion soup or Mac and cheese. I hope Sam's carries this regularly and it's not a seasonal offering.

I love that this cheese is well aged which gives it an extra layer of complexity that adds a punch to salads, home-made mac-n-cheese, or just a great wine pairing. I like that this cheese comes in a 16oz package and is priced reasonably.

This is a nice aged gruyere cheese. It has a nice aged flavor, rich aroma that smells stronger than the taste. It's smooth and creamy. Melts well- great for Mac n cheese or a grilled cheese or perfect topping for French onion soup. Even great as a snack on a cheese plate.

Today I tried Alpenhaus French Gruyere Semi-Hard Cheese. As soon as I opened the package, I knew the cheese was going to be good. Once opened, the aroma of good Gruyere was noticeable. It's hard to find really good Gruyere without going to a specialty shop and paying a small fortune for a piece. Sam's Club has done it again! They are selling really good Gruyere at a great price. Beyond the wonderful aroma, the cheese tastes delicious. It has a rich nutty flavor and a semi-hard dry texture exactly like you find with good Gruyere in France. Enjoy it alone, with a nice glass of wine, some fruit, or some nuts. It is also easily incorporated into your favorite dishes. I am really happy to have found this delicious cheese so close to home.

This cheese is delicious! It is creamy and nutty flavored and it slices beautifully. We will use this on charcuterie boards and I know I will be slicing off a piece just for an afternoon stack. I would also imagine that this would melt very well onto a piece of toasted French bread. Yummy!

My husband and I love having cheese during every meal and of course as a snack. This Alpenhaus French Gruyere Cheese that has been aged a minimum of 120 days is one that we will continue to reach for. It is great on quiches, omelets, salads, casseroles, and just on its own as a snack. It pairs great with wine and different cuts of meat. The price also can't be beat at Sam's Club, especially being a product of France. We highly recommend!

I like the creamy, nutty taste of this cheese. I think it would pair really well with toasted french bread, some fruity jam, or wine. I also think it would be amazing as a ham and cheese sandwich. You can kind of get some hints of fruit at the end. I think it tastes delicious.
