I suffered a neck injury (my second) due to a car accident in the Fall of 2007 where upon I bought this pillow. It took a few days to get used to it and to wear it in properly, but once it was worn in it was so comfortable and I have not been able to sleep comfortably without it since. I take it with me when ever I travel. It has lasted me 5 years, which is 2 more than it is guaranteed to last. Although it continues to offer me much more support than the average pillow, I am going to purchase a new one within the next couple of weeks and I can hardly wait to get back to the ultimate comfort that the pillow once offered me. Some day I will purchase a Tempur-pedic bed. I highly recommend this pillow.

In the past I would toss and turn all night long trying to find the most comfortable position. With this pillow, I put my head down and wake up in the morning in the exact same position. Definitely recommend!

I expected it to be like a firm mattress for my head and neck, knowing from other reviews that it wasn't particularly soft. After sleeping with it, I've realized it is WAY too firm for my comfort. I woke up in the middle of the night (which I never do) feeling like it had been pressing on my esophagus, and a large portion of my spine (neck and upper back) felt very uncomfortable. It is beyond getting used to. I'm better off buying a pillow that has a sleep-trial, which Tempur-Pedic does not offer for pillows.

I do not recommend this product and please don't compare this product to the original one. It's awkward, gives you neck pain and headache and does not help you sleep. I was an admirer of tempeurpedic pillows and beds for years but whoever decided to make this terrible change should be fired! Worst pillow ever. We might as well buy Bobs pillows. They rank about the same.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a car accident, this pillow was recommended to me by my chiropractor. It has worked wonders! It helps with my neck pain, and I fall asleep quicker. It does take some getting used to it (about 2 weeks in my case), but in the end, it will be nothing but beneficial. The only downside was that it does get a bit too hot, and you wake up sweaty. My remedy was to remove the cover it came with and started using a 100% cotton sheet cover. This simple change made a huge difference in keeping my body temp in check. It was part of a BOGO deal, and I've been using the free one between the knees since I tend to sleep on my side. Highly recommend it not just for people involved in accidents but also to anyone looking for a quality and supportive pillow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a herniated disc at c5/c6. Needless to say, sleeping can be agonizing for me, and waking can be even worse. I purchased this specific pillow with the hope that it might help me achieve more regenerative sleep and lessen some of my daily neck pain. One cannot cure the pain of a herniated cervical disc through the use of a pillow (if only!), so I never expected a magical fix. Nonetheless, this pillow helps to diminish my nightly pain and reduce the pressure/tension that I feel upon waking. It has really helped me, which is why I also purchased the travel size version of this neck pillow. Let's briefly talk about firmness. Some reviewers say this pillow is as hard as a rock. They must have experience with some pretty soft rocks because I find this pillow to be plenty giving/soft and comfortable. I prefer cushy beds and pillows, and this pillow fits the bill for me. It is not overly soft (it does not engulf my head), but I certainly do not find it to be firm. Bottom line: it is worth the money because it actually helps to improve the quality of my sleep and, thereby, my waking life.

After that became well used, I have been replacing with other brands pillows many times but they never became my favorite than my first original pillow... So, I decided to buy a new tempurpedic original pillow one for me (this time I bought it for my husband as well)! I am so grad For the purchase.

I purchase this pillow cause I was having some slight neck pain in the mornings. While I was using it, the pain has gotten way worse (and has since gotten better since I switched back). Tempur-pedic would not exchange the pillow for another option. Compared to other similar companies (such as Tuft and Needle), this return policy is absolutely bogus. I strongly advise you try a different company -- you will have a much more reasonable return/exchange policy (I mean, come on. If Im going to spend over $100, shouldnt the company try and ensure its quality??) . DO NOT BUY!

I was suffering from severe neck pain and I was only getting about 3 to 4 hour of very restless sleep. Since sleeping on my new pillow for 2 months I am getting 8 to 9 hrs of uninterrupted sleep every night!! This is one of the best products I have ever bought!!
