This pillow is as hard as a brick after giving it almost a month to break in and the geometry of this pillow is off. If you plan to use this for side sleeping, don't bother. With the pillow being as hard as it is your head will tilt down due to the bulbous nature of this hump and will be "resting" your neck on this hard apparatus. Just for a sanity check, I had my wife use it and after about a minute using the pillow she said this pillow was like a rock. Even after about a months use. Either I got a dud or this is just poor quality control standards.

I've used the Tempur neck pillow for23 years since I was in massage school. Now as a therapist when clients have neck problems I always ask what kind of pillow they use and it's usually the cause of discomfort. I explain the temper-pedic neck pillow, showing them a facsimile by slipping the half massage bolster under their neck (which of course is no substitute) but they get the idea. So when they purchase your pillow they come back and just say "Wow!"

It helps with my neck pain, and I fall asleep quicker. It does take some getting used to it (about 2 weeks in my case), but in the end, it will be nothing but beneficial. The only downside was that it does get a bit too hot, and you wake up sweaty. My remedy was to remove the cover it came with and started using a 100% cotton sheet cover. This simple change made a huge difference in keeping my body temp in check. It was part of a BOGO deal, and I've been using the free one between the knees since I tend to sleep on my side. Highly recommend it not just for people involved in accidents but also to anyone looking for a quality and supportive pillow.

It cradles my neck and gives me a great nights sleep and no pain in the morning. I also have one in the RV. I am on my 2nd tempurpedic mattress and wouldn't buy anything else.
