I am a side sleeper. I like taller, firmer pillows, with good support so I thought this one would be a good fit. I measured myself according to the size chart, and my shoulder measurement was 7"-- so, side sleeper above 6", so I got the large. I received the package and lay down briefly on the pillow with the pillow still in the plastic packaging. I could tell it wasn't going to work, and wrote the company to inquire about a return because I hadn't opened the pillow packaging. They denied the request, citing they "are a zero waste company" (hard to understand given the pillow arrives wrapped in plastic). So even though I measured correctly and according to their chart I ordered the right size, the pillow was not a good fit and now I'm stuck with a very expensive pillow I really don't like. I would not recommend ordering online unless you have tried and sized the pillow first in person. Now to review the pillow: For me sleeping on my side, the large bulge hits my jaw while the top of my head hits the depression in the pillow. This torques my head much further out of alignment than a regular pillow would, making my head cock to one side. The foam is firm enough that the large bulge doesn't collapse sufficiently to allow comfortable side sleeping posture. I'm a large male and have a regular size head for my body, so it's not like I have a tiny light head that can't push the foam down. Look at the profile of the pillow and imagine how that would be a good side sleeper support--the top of your head is going to tip down and push your head/spine out of alignment. Maybe you're a back sleeper, which is what this pillow is really meant for. How is your shoulder broadness going to predict the height of the large bulge that's going to work for your anatomy? That's more a factor of your neck length and how far forward you like your head to be while you sleep. Try this pillow in person first. Do not order from the website.

It fits my neck perfectly. When I go on vacations or to visit friends overnight, I always bring my Tempupedic neck pillow. Even if the bed is uncomfortable, my neck is very comfortable and I am able to fall asleep. I purchased this to replace my ancient (20 years?) old contour pillow, and am shocked at how hard and unyielding it is. I like firm, but expect the Tempur material to soften and mold as it warms up. I cannot even use this pillow unfortunately. Very disappointed for such a pricey pillow.

I would advise measuring the height you need so you purchase the correct one. We sleep on our back and sides and these pillows support well in either position. In our experience, they do not sleep hot either. Great product.

This will be my 3rd purchase of this pillow for my personal use. I don't know how I ever got along without it. It supports the neck/head in a fashion that keeps the neck in-line with the spine to make sleep comfortable and mornings arrive without the stiff neck and pains that come with standard pillows. I recommend this pillow to anyone with a stiff neck.

I ordered the small based on my size but it felt way too tiny for me. Its even thinner than my small travel pillow. I gave it a try since my chiropractor recommended this one but after sleeping on it for two weeks it actually made my neck and upper spine pain even worse and caused me to schedule an additional chiropractor session to get an adjustment. I switched back to my old pillow (its actually a square travel pillow thats memory foam from a different brand) which isnt great either but at least it doesnt make my neck pain worse. This one might have worked better if I ordered a Medium or the regular version without the neck contour but unfortunately Im not able to exchange it since its been used.

I do love the support this pillow gives me, but am so aggravated that my standard size pillow cases do not fit. The pillow is too small. I do not know how Tempur-pedic can rectify this, but it would be nice to not have my pillow coming out of the pillowcase.

I love how I am able to switch from side sleeping to back sleeping & still be very comfortable with proper neck support. If the pillows are this good, I can only imagine how awesome the mattresses are :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like other reviewers have mentioned, you do smell strong chemical scent at first but I aired it out and washed the cover of the pillow-hence my 4 star review but otherwise I would say every other aspect of this pillow is worth 5 stars! No more fatigue neck after a good night of sleep!
