I was expecting something in medium firmness but this is the hardest pillow I've ever felt. It's terrible for back-sleeping as it pushes my head too high and is really hard on the neck. This would cause hunchback over time. It's not so bad for side-sleeping however. It's better off as a seat cushion for now. Too bad there's no returns allowed.

This one is very small, but can't be returned even I didn't open the package. The website is very tricky, you need click the + button to see the return policy, it's just said may not be returned. Normally, I think many people like me won't check everything very carefully, only focus the products. I understand it's personal products, so I didn't open the package and call them for returns, but I don't understand they still don't accept returns. However, I couldn't return, then used it, it's not comfortable for me, sigh. It's very very bad shopping experience. Maybe for this kind of commodity, should go to store to check and buy it. With neck discomfort, I decided to spend the extra to get a good support pillow. I measured as guide directed for side and back sleep. It took days to get used to awkward shape and after 3 weeks of trying, my neck is in more pain and causing migraines from muscle strain. Without being able to return, I'm stuck with high priced space consumer for my closet

Purchased the Tempur-Neck Pillow Medium. I like the contour and medium is the right size for my 5'10" frame. However, this thing is harder than a brick. Not a restful sleep, waking up with a sore ear and sore teeth. Tried to soften the pillow by stepping on it and sitting on it throughout the day but it didn't help. Really loved my old Tempur-pedic SidePillow Medium. It was perfect but now it's is gone and the SidePillow is no longer available for purchase. I understand the no returns policy but when the product is this bad it should be considered a crime. This loyal customer of 25 years will be seeking a solution somewhere else.

This pillow is currently on vacation with me! It supports my neck, critical to good nights sleep. I've used Tempurpedic for years. This must be my 3rd pillow. I'm sold on it. Ps... recently purchased the mattress topper...Wow. My legs & hip no longer ache in the owning. Feel as though the topper has given me 3-5 years more time on my mattress.

After X-Rays etc my Dr. recommended I have an operation on my upper cervical, specifically C5 and C6. No way. NO WAY.. Read many reviews on aids for my neck while sleeping as I would wake with tremendous pain that would stay with my all day. Came across TEMPUR- Neck Pillow. Purchased one and with 2 weeks of using the Neck Pillow my neck had improved 80%. I still can't believe it. My daughter who works 50 hours a week and has an infant was complaining about her neck also as she is carrying her child all the time plus a full time job running her company. I gifted her a TEMPUR Neck Pillow too and she just loves it. Her neck and back improved within a week. It is a miracle product and teaches us older folk how to sleep properly. Were we ever taught in the first place?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought one of the first-generation TEMPUR-Pedic mattresses and neck pillows back in 1996. My memories are of one stinky but comfortable mattress and pillows. I couldn't sleep on the mattress for almost a week because of the strong and awful chemical odor. I had the windows open and walked on the mattress a couple times a day in an effort to get rid of the smell. It did finally subside, and I got around 12 wonderful and restful years of sleep on the mattress. I've since replaced it with another brand but kept the pillows, which finally wore out, and I replaced them with another pair of TEMPUR-Pedic neck pillows. Sadly, I was really disappointed when that familiar stench hit my nose as I opened the package. I had to hang them outside for a day to be able to breathe inside. It's been weeks now, and the smell has reduced but is still there. I can't wait for it to dissipate entirely, because I know what wonderful nights of sleep await me.

I seriously recommend this pillow if you are experiencing shoulder or neck discomfort while sleeping

My neck use to hurt using regular pillows, but after purchasing the neck pillow I have been sleeping like a baby couple with my Tempur-Pedic mattress set. I wouldn't have it any other WAY!!! Sometimes I sleep on it and I feel like my head is being cradled by the hands of God! Other times, it's just truly uncomfortable. I've found it's best when my muscles are sore. Then it's really, really firm and offers such great support. But even so, I can only lay on it for about 45 minutes before it becomes painful. It's very therapeutic during the first 45 minutes. Then when my muscles are back to normal, it just feels so hard and it feels like it's pushing back on me with such force. Also the neck part is really high, I often sleep with it turned around on the lower end. I'm mainly a back and side sleeper and have tried other neck pillows that were just so soft and offered no support whatsoever. This pillow feels too hard at times. I'd highly recommend it for therapeutic reasons, like if your neck and shoulder muscles are sore, but I wouldn't recommend it for a whole night's sleep. Also, a few times when I've fallen asleep on it, I've woken up with my ear(s) hurting because of it pushing back on me. It's like all the nerves in my ear(s) got pinched during the night. Think of this as your mini chiropractor, I have another pillow that I switch too after this one has healed me. It's worth the price, but don't expect it to be your only pillow.
