I placed an order for two Tempur Pedic Neck Pillows following my mother's cancer diagnosis in May 2017. My sister and I were under a lot of stress and we had never invested in proper pillows. Her birthday was in May, so this seemed like the perfect present for her and the perfect gift for me. I purchased both pillows and unpacked mine to test it out. There was a horrid chemical smell that I put up with for a couple of weeks hoping it would dissipate. My sister is allergic and asthmatic so I decided that I couldn't subject her to these odors. I first contacted TP a few weeks following my purchase and was advised that 30 days following use, if the smell didn't go away, I could return the pillows for a full refund. The smell persisted, so I called TP to requested shipping labels at the beginning of June. I was assured the labels would be emailed to me. I waited a week and nothing. So I called back again and once again requested shipping labels. The reps were professional and apologetic and said they would issue the shipping labels and that sometimes these issues occurred (hint hint, not the first time they'd encountered these "delays"). Once again I waited a few weeks, got distracted, forgot until I once again remembered that I still hadn't received a single shipping label. I called back 2-3 more times (I've since lost count) before I finally received a shipping label. I shipped back the first pillow I'd tested out and after another call back to inquire about my refund I finally received one. Next, I prepared to deal with the second, unopened pillow that had been intended for my sister. Once again I emailed a rep who had given me her direct email address and after a few back and forth messages, I received the second shipping label (by now late September - and mind you, I had placed my initial order in MAY!!!). I immediately shipped out the second pillow and to this day, am still awaiting a refund for this pillow. I have called TP 3x since shipping this second pillow back, and each time the reps have insisted I would receive a refund. The latest rep actually had me provide a tracking number in order to verify my shipment. Only then did she appear to "process my refund" after verifying that the pillow had been returned to them. Question is, for someone who has been so diligent about staying on top of this, I have still only been credited back 50% of what I am owed. This whole ordeal has lasted 6 months. I am still waiting for this credit and have had to call numerous times to get things moving/processed/etc. Tempur Pedic's behavior on this matter has been nothing short of fraudulent and I hope that everyone who considers placing an order reads my review and decides to avoid buying anything from them. Given the circumstances under which I first made this purchase, this has been by far the worst online shopping experience I have ever endured.
