This pillow when first purchased does have an odor. I put the pillow and a box of baking soda in a trash bags and tied it tightly and left it for 2 weeks. The odor dismissed quit a lot. After a short time the odor went away. I have stenosis in my neck and this pillow is worth the fuss. I can't sleep with anything else.

Once I got this I found I no longer needed to use the extra support. It feels good because my shoulders feel like they're well supported with the size and firmness of the pillow.

And since Tempurpedic has generous return policies for their mattress I thought it was safe to splurge on such a pricy pillow only to learn that pillows are non-returnable because of their "personal nature".

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I were excited when we found tempur-pedic due to constantly waking up with sore necks with many pillows. First of all, the quality is solid but it just didn't work for us. The first 5-10mins were great and we thought we found the perfect pillows. However, after sleeping on it for 1 night, we woke up with neck pain and back tightness. Now regarding the return policy, Tempur-pedic double charged my credit card and sent me 4 pillows instead of 2. While the pillows were in original packaging, sealed and untouched, customer service refused to offer any help and joked that I can give them out as gifts. Now I am stuck with 4 pillows. I have to say their sales strategy is creative though - double charging customers and sending them extra pillows but no return allowed. Good luck and hopefully I am the only person who experienced this.

This would have been my third one - I'd purchased it for a second home I was furnishing. . However, the newer version is much firmer than the older versions I have and was unusable. I was very disappointed and am not able to use the pillow, nor return it.

I had neck pain but convinced myself that it was my body adjusting to the pillow. I recently stayed at a hotel for business for 3 nights. I woke up refreshed and sadly realized that the pillows are a bust. Back to the drawing board.
