Regretted this purchase within days. On carpet or large area rugs anchored by furniture it's ok. Not great but ok. Unless there's a setting I haven't found yet, it's impossible to vacuum smaller rugs without it trying to pull the rug into the roller. You can use the hard floor mode but then you lose the roller/beater option to better clean the rug. It doesn't fit well under furniture unless you're willing to give up the power nozzle. It doesn't pick up fine dust along the edges or hard floors.- not even with multiple passes. The liftoff canister is ok for vacuuming stairs but there's no power tools for carpeted stairs. My last vacuum had a smaller power roller brush like a pet hair attachment - this one does not. Also the motor/canister area gets so hot it partially melted the crevice tool and warped it so it doesn't fit smoothly. The power cord is insanely short so expect to have to unplug and plug it in elsewhere to finish a decent sized room (like a master bedroom). And finally if there is ANYTHING on the floor like even a pair of shoes, it will lift up over the sole and try to vacuum up the shoe. This product was clearly QA'd in an empty 10x10 room with only clumps of dirt by a person who'd never operated a vacuum before.

I have 6 dogs. Large ones. Was really excited to see the great reviews on this vacuum. Well I have owned it less than a month and the front roller is totally clogged up!! I dont put it on bare floors all the time to (hopefully) help with German Shepherd and Golden Retriever hair, but this failed miserably. :( I do vacuum every day. Have to, this is crazy. Now I am paying for a vacuum that doesnt do what I needed to do.

the power cord is too stiff and absolutely will not roll up to hang on the machine. ive tried everything. the vacuum is ok but i cant deal with the cord.

I am an avid Shark user and I hate to say this but im disappointed in this vacuum. My previous stratos was much stronger sounding and the suction was awesome. With this one , the suction is okay but doesnt compare to the stratos. Its lightweight which is nice but I just feel that this one will not last long ...... feels cheap.

Finally, A Vac that actually picks up all the dirt and debris that other popular brands have left behind! It is Amazing! It cleans with easy and precision. The Tool makes for a quick & easy cleanup! I Highly Recommend this Vac!!! I could’ve saved thousands I’ve spent on duds! Thanks, Shark Ninja!

I like the vacuum. It works well. The thing I like the least is that my area rugs get sucked into the brush roller even if I switch on the bare floor setting. My last shark handled the rugs with no problems. This sweeper may have more power or maybe it’s the 2 rollers that causes it but it’s not a deal breaker. I just wish it didn’t pull them up. Other than that, it works well. I like it a lot.

I love this vacuum! I spent months reading reviews on which one to replace my old vacuum with. I have two German Shepherds who shed nonstop year round. This vacuum gets hair out of the carpet that I never knew was there. I love the power it has behind it! So satisfying to see what it sucks up! I love the little smell insert. It is such a nice fresh scent as you vacuum.

I needed a vac. quickly. Shark is notorious for the plastic breaking, but the cleaning capability is 4/5. The power cord on this model is THE WORST, and most unsafe cord, I have ever seen. It is stiff, remains bent, does not ever soften to straighten out, and is a tripping hazard. Shark should be ashamed to use this low cost cord, as in the end I am convinced it will cost them! I cannot in good conscience recommend this unit to anyone.

Absolutely the best vacuum I have ever owned. My home is completely LVP and it picks up every grain of sand/dirt AND all the dog hair! I have had two Dysons and they can't compare to this vacuum. My floors are clean and don't feel gritty after vacuuming like they did before. So very glad I researched this Shark vacuum.

I bought this shark az4002 about a month ago. I absolutely love it! But the reason for four stars is the hose itself is so short that when you take the canister off the front of the unit to vacuum under the bed you have to lay the canister on its side because it falls down. And if you take the canister off to suck something in a corner up the unit Falls over on you. It's whacked my ankle several times when I'm vacuuming under the bed because the hose pulls the canister. And I've also whacked my head with the wand still attached to the unit when I try to suck something up with the end of the hose because it pulls it over also. That's the only thing I think I would change about this vacuum. And they do not make a longer replacement hose. I sure wish they did! Thanks, Gretchen
