Our old self-propelled vacuums were getting old and very cumbersome to use. Looking on Consumer Reports, Shark vacuums were rated very highly. This vacuum definitely meets the mark. Good price for quality of vacuum. Easy to maneuver. Picked up so much dirt on first use....we didn't realize what our old vacuums were missing. Definitely recommend

I have had Shark vacuums in the past and have always thought they were an outstanding product... This is no exception. A great vacuum for hardwood floors especially.

Very lightweight. Has strong suction and the floor detection is a nice feature.

I haven’t been able to use every feature of it but all the features I have used have worked out great. The power of the vacuum is fantastic and to me it is pretty lightweight. I vacuumed a room after it had been vacuumed, not very long ago, with another vacuum and it picked up so much more.

I Love Shark vacuums and with 2 goldens I NEED a great vacuum. Although I love this vacuum the design flaw is that it should lift away like the stratos (which I had prior to this vacuum) so that you can easily get under furniture. I honestly thought it did which is why I bought this one instead of another stratos but that was my fault for not researching better.

I used to sharpen Apex for The Last 5 Years and the powerhead on it went bad of course sharp never has parts to fix their vacuum cleaners because they just want to sell you another one okay I accepted that I've dealt with Dyson they suck they get on carpet and they just get bogged down you got to turn it off pull it backwards this one this detect Pro that I bought does that sum and I don't really like to detect part cuz when I use that then I'll get into my vacuum cleaner sometimes it'll start shaking and kind of jumping a little bit my simple Apex was good NOT REALLY HAPPY WITH IT MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE WENT WITH STRATOS DUOROLL

I have 6 dogs. Large ones. Was really excited to see the great reviews on this vacuum. Well I have owned it less than a month and the front roller is totally clogged up!! I dont put it on bare floors all the time to (hopefully) help with German Shepherd and Golden Retriever hair, but this failed miserably. :( I do vacuum every day. Have to, this is crazy. Now I am paying for a vacuum that doesnt do what I needed to do.

Regretted this purchase within days. On carpet or large area rugs anchored by furniture it's ok. Not great but ok. Unless there's a setting I haven't found yet, it's impossible to vacuum smaller rugs without it trying to pull the rug into the roller. You can use the hard floor mode but then you lose the roller/beater option to better clean the rug. It doesn't fit well under furniture unless you're willing to give up the power nozzle. It doesn't pick up fine dust along the edges or hard floors.- not even with multiple passes. The liftoff canister is ok for vacuuming stairs but there's no power tools for carpeted stairs. My last vacuum had a smaller power roller brush like a pet hair attachment - this one does not. Also the motor/canister area gets so hot it partially melted the crevice tool and warped it so it doesn't fit smoothly. The power cord is insanely short so expect to have to unplug and plug it in elsewhere to finish a decent sized room (like a master bedroom). And finally if there is ANYTHING on the floor like even a pair of shoes, it will lift up over the sole and try to vacuum up the shoe. This product was clearly QA'd in an empty 10x10 room with only clumps of dirt by a person who'd never operated a vacuum before.

I am super disappointed in this vacuum. I have two German Shepards and this vacuum just can’t seem to handle their hair. I do not have any carpet in my home, only hard flooring, and the vacuum continues to get jammed and hair gets built up and stuck in the roller. I have to take it apart often to keep that area clear. The chord on the vacuum is also way too short. I’ve always had Dysons and wanted to give Shark a try, but I feel like I’ve made a mistake.

Does not live up to what I have been acustomed to from Shark. This is my 4th shark vacuum and I waited to purchase an upright that had brushes on the beater bar and not the rubber which would fall apart after use. After I purchased this one I found out that they did away with the light on the wand, they also put the on/off button on the canister not on the wand so if you want to use it as a lift away, you can't because you have to take the base with you to be able to turn it on. Very poor design on Sharks behalf. I'm going to be returning this one to the store and won't be buying another shark until they move the on/off switch back to the wand handle.
