Love this ice machine! Totally recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ice machine is great, it has a huge basket and makes ice so fast! I recommend this machine to anyone who has a big family that might not have a ice machine in their fridge or who just loves always having a cool drink on hand. Great for parties as well!

I Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my ice maker!! My amazing husband got this for me as a gift because he knows how much I love ice even though we have an ice maker on our fridge already, he wanted me to have my own at the ready. This ice maker is amazing, and is perfect in every single way!! It’s just the right size and texture and great for every day use. The only complaint I have is the sound it makes when making ice. SUPER LOUD!! Also, it’s a pretty big machine, for the amount of ice it makes, but I still love it!!

Great buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nugget ice maker is great. Great capacity. Good ice production speed. Quiet when running and the water capacity with the side tank is great. Need some space with side tank but overall dimensions are good. Installation is easy. Highly recommend cleaning before installing and using the sanitizer/ cleaning cycle before using to produce ice. Also for best ice results and to prolong the cleaning use bottle water. I live in central Texas so i just have big jugs of watered delivered that I use for water my water machine and now for my ice machine.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything has been great!!! My only complaint was I wish there were more step by step instructions on set up but I muddled through and it works great! Glad I spent the extra money

I love it :-D

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this for our daughters who love chewing on ice. Since we can’t drive to Sonic everyday, this was a nice gift. It was easy to put together and does the ib well. Only slight downside is the noise it makes. It’s not super loud or anything, but you can hear it. It’s slightly annoying to my husband but only white noise to me. Other than that, great product for the price.

loud

the ice maker is perry loudand took some time to figure it out but it did make ice. the quantity was not that large. equal to a bucket of ice. so if having a party would need to make ice, freeze and make again. i personally don't think it's worth the time space or cost

We would like to help and provide some guidance. Make sure that there is a minimum 3 inches clearance on the back and sides of the unit to ensure proper airflow. More information about this can be found in your manual on page 12 at the link below. https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--vgUScZcV--/zlsfckeugpj1gbsuwrx8.pdf

Love machine despite one issue

Machine occasionally gets stuck on "add water" cycle even if reservoir is full. Machine has to be re-set at that time. This is my third GE profile icemaker with this issue. However, I love the ice nuggets and aside from this issue-machine is great.

We’re glad to hear you’re overall happy with your ice maker. We’d like to provide information about the Add Water message you’re seeing. When you see that message but the reservoir has plenty of water, we recommend following the descaling instructions starting on page 9 of the manual and soaking the unit for 18 hours, then running a full rinse cycle. The manual is available at this link: https://images.salsify.com/image/upload/s--vgUScZcV--/zlsfckeugpj1gbsuwrx8.pdf. This error may occur if you’re using a filter, and it needs to be replaced. We have an article discussing that linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=000064644. If you remove the filter and install the mesh screen intake cap in place of it, that can help to determine if the filter is the issue. If only the side tank has water, there may be an air bubble present. We recommend ensuring hoses are lying flat and lifting the tank from the ice maker a few inches to help water flow. Also, if you’re filling the tank and not the internal reservoir, you may need to wait about 5 minutes to allow water to reach the reservoir, and you may need to open and close the reservoir to let the machine know water has been added. If you have any questions or issues in the future, please let us know - we're always glad to help.

loved it, but didn't last.

This is the 3rd GE nugget ice machine we've had. They all last about 2 years and then die. All were cleaned regularly and used daily. They are just disposable unfortunately, and they are way over priced for the life you get out of them. It would be nice if they were lower priced to match their quality or if GE would actually offer the replacement parts that are needed, ie. water pump, control board, tubing. If you could get these parts new you could repair and continue using as apposed to adding another GE appliance to the land fill.
