It's not immediate, which gives you time to but it definitely helps and doesn't hurt your stomach at all. Make sure to drink lots of water with them! The taste is good, no gritty chalky taste and I like that they are individually wrapped.

Like The food dye of FD&C red 40, corn syrup and sucrose are some things I rather not have even though this is something that I want to take. I rather take the original Miralax powder form and mix it with my water!
