Don't buy without an extended warranty

This is the 5th time we've bought this model microwave in 7 years. (One lasted only 3 weeks!) It's a great product when it's working, but for some reason it never lasts long, it just stops working. The only reason we keep buying it again is because it's small enough to fit on our shelf, yet big enough to hold our favorite casserole dish. So now we always spring for an extended warranty.

Great power and capacity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave works great and has good capacity. The controls require more effort to push than they should. The door is very noisy when closing it. It would get a “5” except for these two issues that need improvement in future models. It replaced a 40 year old GE microwave that stopped working.

Replacement

Bought this to replace my other microwave I was fortunate to have for 20yrs.But this one is so noisy when operational not sure I will be able to live with this one for 20yrs...

We appreciate your purchase and want to provide some information regarding our new microwaves. If you find that your microwave door closes loudly or is harder to close than your previous model, the difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch. This is a normal condition for the microwave. You can lift up on the latch to feel the tension. If the microwave starts as soon as the door is closed, the microwave isn't really starting; the fan is coming on in anticipation of the appliance starting. Try shutting the door firmly three times to avoid the fan sound in future use.

Perfect Fit

We have only used the microwave a couple of times but so far it seems to work well. Not a fan of the auto lock though. Wish there was a way to disable that.

Adequate

This microwave is noisier than my last one and shows fingerprints more than I'd hope. Paid to get the black stainless steel hoping to keep it looking nicer.

Dangerous

The microwave sparks inside the cabin . Tried multiple times before I realized it was dangerous to operate . This is the 2nd time I had a GE microwave breakdown within 1 year. Very frustrating

Slightly disappointed

Beautiful design look. Wattage is good. Disappointed in how cloudy the glass door becomes when you heat anything beyond 3 minutes. Have to leave door open for awhile until It dissipates.

Easy to run.

We love our new Microwave as it is easy to use. It replaced our older GE which was over 20 years old. One suggestion that would make the machine perfect: allow the panel controls to light up as the clock does.
