Good in a tuna melt.

I was able to try Safe Catch’s Tuna Burger. The item is as the name states, a tuna burger. The outer box package is colorful and sturdy. The tuna burgers on the inside are in two plastic packages of 3 burgers each separated by freezer paper. There is a whopping 33 grams of protein in each patty. On first glance the tuna burger looks like a regular frozen burger. There are multiple ways to cook this item. I cooked my tuna burger in my air fryer. It was a little hard to tell when the burger was done because it stays kind of light in color. Touching the surface of the tuna burger for firmness is a good idea. I was sure not to overcook the burger so it wouldn’t dry out. I served it on some bread with tomatoes and burger aioli. The tuna burger tasted like tuna. The burger was firm on the outside and moist on the inside. It didn’t taste bad. You just have to a the right condiments and ingredients to your liking. I’m going to try this tuna burger again with different ingredient combinations. The tuna burger would be great in a tuna melt. People who aren’t tuna lovers may not find this tuna burger appealing. I would buy this item again when I’m in the mood for a tuna melt sandwich.

Macro-friendly but fishy.

This is very macro-friendly. The packages hold 3 patties each, but I almost wish they’d had 2 each. I feel like that would be a better serving size and keep the user from having to put back an open bag. Overall these were pretty tasty, although they do give “fish” flavor a lot more than a salmon burger. For that reason, I probably wouldn’t buy them myself. I’ll use them in a pinch, but I’ve only had a total of 4 of 6 patties since buying them.

The taste and texture is horrible

To be honest these burger are not good at all. They have a weird taste and the appearance is not pleasant. I cooked them in the air fryer. I tried to add cheese but I couldn’t get over the taste.

On a scale of 1-10 this is a no thanks

My husband and I have recently started a health journey, so getting the opportunity to review these Safe Catch Tuna Burgers felt like a blessing. Not only do they have more protein than regular burgers, they’re made with avocado oil, and also have a good dose of omega 3, all great things to have in a healthier burger. However, even in knowing all of that, the thought of eating a tuna burger didn’t sound too appetizing and I dragged my feet on this review. Finally, I got down to it and cooked the burgers on the stove, added in a few veggies, some low carb buns, a slice of cheese and some French fries (for balance). Not even the French fries could save this burger. The smell was unappealing during cooking, but after a few spices, it was bearable. However, when I bit into it, there was the smell. It was like eating a big piece of seaweed disguised as a burger with the texture of tuna. I tried my very best to keep an open mind, but this burger really checked all of the boxes under gross. If this is the price of being healthy, sign me up for a visit with Dr. Now.

A macro-friendly, mercury-tested, and seed-oil-free alternative that delivers a massive protein punch without compromising on clean ingredients.

If you are looking for a clean, high-protein alternative to traditional beef patties, these frozen tuna burgers from Safe Catch are an excellent option. What I Like: - Impressive Macros: Packing 33g of protein per patty with 68% less fat and 30% fewer calories than standard 80% lean beef burgers, they make hit your nutritional goals incredibly easy. - Clean Ingredients: It is rare to find convenient frozen options with no sugar and absolutely no seed oils. - Peace of Mind: The "Every Tuna Mercury Tested" guarantee takes the anxiety out of eating seafood regularly. They grill up quickly and hold their texture well, pairing perfectly with standard burger fixings or wrapped in lettuce for a lower-carb meal.

Great alternative to turkey burgers!

These Safe Catch Tuna Burgers were a BIG bit with my fish-loving family, especially my 2 year old who wanted a "double decker" burger (pictured here). We don't eat red meat often due to the price of beef but also because I'm 9 years out from gastric bypass and beef is hard for me to digest- usually we do turkey burgers. These tuna burgers were a TASTY and quick alternative to turkey that pleased even our 6 year old! We kept it simple, a little sprinkle of salt & pepper, some mozzarella cheese because it's mild, tomato, lettuce, and mayo- very classic! My husband tried his with just tartar sauce and said it was delicious as well! For 6 burgers a box at approximately $13 that's not a bad price! They fried up in a pan in 4 minutes, beautifully cooked in a little EVOO, the smell wasn't overly fishy or pungent. I can't wait to try our next box on the grill!

Highly recommend

I was really impressed by these Safe Catch Tuna Burgers! They look exactly like a high quality burger patty when cooked, holding their shape perfectly without falling apart. The cooking process is quick and simple right from frozen. Texture-wise, they are remarkably juicy and meaty. not dry like some fish-based burgers can be. The taste is clean and savory without being overly "fishy," making them perfect to serve on a brioche bun with standard burger toppings like lettuce, tomato, and a nice garlic aioli. One-liner summary: A delicious, high-protein alternative that cooks perfectly and genuinely satisfies a burger craving!

Never again

I wanna start out by saying I’m a big fan of tuna especially raw tuna but this just isn’t it. This has some of the most overbearing fishy taste I’ve ever had and it’s so salty. I just can’t get behind this one. I’m sure some people might love it, but overall, this is a hard

Good Flavor but A Bit Dry and Crumbly

My family and I tend to opt for seafood more than other protein, so I was happy to see a tuna burger product. The 6ct of frozen Tuna Burgers from Safe Catch come sealed in 2 packs of 3, which I found a bit odd, but works if you are a family of 3. I only used 2 at a time, so I did have to put the 3rd patty in a ziploc bag to prevent freezer burn. The tuna patties are the size of an average hamburger patty. They are meant to be cooked from frozen, so there isn't a defrosting time. The patties cook rather quickly, so they are good for when you need to prepare a meal in a short amount of time. The patties come pre-seasoned and I did find the flavor to be good as is, but you could add a little extra seasoning to your preference as they are not too salty. The tuna is quite lean and I thought it was a bit dry and the texture was somewhat crumbly. It could be that I cooked them a bit too long, but even if that's so, the texture was odd. These patties are more of a sear-type situation. Once you add veggies, mayo and put it on a bun, it is a decent tuna burger, but not top-notch. I still gave it 3 stars because I did enjoy the flavor and the covenience. The dryness and crumbly texture was not great and made it a bit difficult to eat. I also would prefer for the patties to be sealed in packs of 2, or even individually sealed instead of packs of 3.

Not a big tuna fan to begin with

I enjoy an occasional tuna salad, but typically not a huge tuna fan. I thought I would try these anyway. They were not for me. I did get my toddlers to at least both try one bite which is impressive 👏 These come fully cooked which is helpful. I “cooked” (warmed) them in my air frier and it was super simple and quick. Flipping half way through. Smells like tuna. Portion is that of any burger patty thought it doesn’t shrink down when cooked like a burger patty does. It was way too much for me at a time, but also I am not a huge fan of tuna. If you enjoy the tuna smell and flavor, these are for you. Quick and easy!
