I love this new Keurig system! I make a pot of coffee in the morning and can still enjoy my special flavored coffees and teas using k-cups. I was so lucky to get this while on sale. This is a great brand as my old single-serve system has lasted me since March 2016 and still works perfectly. I just wanted to be able to make a pot of coffee when multiple people want a cup.

Well, the main reason I bought this was because due to health reasons my wife needs to drink Decaf. My Ninja coffee maker made delicious coffee but Decaf does nothing for me so I needed a coffee maker that would easily make both. Ninja does have coffee makes that do pods and a carafe but it’s like one or the other and you have to switch components to brew each one. Keurig has a line of coffee makers that do both but reviews on them have not been the best until this Duo gen 2 came out. It has all the features I want especially the more advanced multi stream pod coffee maker. It makes a hotter or stronger cup of coffee if you prefer. The carafe side works well but I have some suggestions for Gen 3. It makes good tasting coffee but not great. I believe my Ninja Coffee maker made better tasting coffee. Probably the temperature of the water and blooming effect that made great tasting coffee. It also takes about 10 minutes to brew 8 cups and even after the hot plate light goes on it still makes gurgling sounds for a few more minutes. Have yet to make a full pot, probably take about 15 minutes. Maybe a beep after it’s done would be nice. The carafe pours very nicely but a bit awkward to rinse out. The large water reservoir is also a big plus. If you’re a regular coffee drinker that wants a pod and carafe coffee maker this should work fine for you. Are there better coffee makers, of course! But for the convenience of a duo coffee maker this works fine.

This machine is great! I’m the only one in my family that drinks caffeinated coffee. I can brew a pot of coffee for my family members who drink decaf coffee and brew a single cup of caffeinated coffee for myself! There are many coffee options to choose from as well. I’m in the trial era at the moment, not sure which coffee brand/flavor is yet my favorite. I just tried the iced coffee option and could take it or leave it, but then I’m not much of an iced coffee drinker. Usually if I want an iced coffee or blended iced coffee I’ll make a trip to my local coffee shop. Overall this machine serves all of my coffee needs!

Improvements from Gen1, too to bottom starting with a much improved pour with the new carafe. The control panel has larger and easier to use buttons and the brewing is faster and a little warmer. Overall size is about 10% smaller. The cold brew is a neat feature that we tried with Acai K-cups. A worthwhile upgrade if your previous machine is wearing out like our Gen1 was (hot plate stopped working).

only reason this got a 3 star was that no where did they show that you always have to make a full pot of coffee. for single people like myself it is a waste of alot of coffee. i like to make partial pots of coffee all the time. also there is no way to shut off the 2 hour auto shut off on the maker so if your like me and remove the entire pot of coffee and pour it into a separate carafe to keep warm for all day, there is an empty pot sitting on a warm burner? not what i was looking for in the long run. anyway otherwise its a keurig. plain and simple. not the best of both worlds like i wanted.

I bought this all in one after my single service Keurig stopped working. We had just a cheap coffee pot that was years old (though it still worked great) and I decided to replace it too. Things I love: 1. The large water capacity. I can make a pot of coffee and there’s still water left for some single serves. 2. The look. Having them both together makes my coffee station look so clean. Things I feel could use a “tweak”: 1. When you open the top to add your coffee filter, if you’re not slow, will leak condensation on the top of the machine. It’s an easy wipe off woth a paper towel, but a bit of a pain. 2. My biggest issue….so far with both Keurigs I’ve owned is the splashing mass from the single serve. This one does have a bottom piece that can be removed so you can put a taller mug under the single serve. Unfortunately, it still does not accommodate our many tumblers that we have. When we try to use just a regular sized coffee mug it’s so low that it splashes everywhereand I have to clean up the mess after every cup made.

I really like the ability to brew single serve and a carafe for myself and others. It is a great feature to have the heated plate for the carafe stay warm for up to two hours on its own. It would be nice to have an option to turn on the heated plate again. Looking forward to using the iced coffee option. I do recommend ordering a reusable filter for the coffee grounds, but for the cost, it would be great if it came with one.

I love my gen 2 Duo. Having the option to go single serve or brew a whole pot is excellent. Also having the ability to brew over ice makes this machine the best one for me. All that's needed to complete this ensemble is frother. Don't forget to grab your re-usable filters for the pot and k-cup (if you desire).

I have wanted one of these machines since the first time I saw one. I waited until my current coffee pot died to order. Every part of this machine is amazing. The ease of adding water, the carafe that pours without dripping, the ease of the controls… I am thrilled.

If you are an all day coffee drinker this is NOT the right coffee maker for you or me. It only keeps coffee in the Cafe for 2 hours and you CAN NOT turn the warmer back on without it making another pot. Very POOR DESIGN FOR ALL DAY COFFEE DRINKERS I would not recommend purchasing this K-Duo
