Improvements from Gen1, too to bottom starting with a much improved pour with the new carafe. The control panel has larger and easier to use buttons and the brewing is faster and a little warmer. Overall size is about 10% smaller. The cold brew is a neat feature that we tried with Acai K-cups. A worthwhile upgrade if your previous machine is wearing out like our Gen1 was (hot plate stopped working).

I am really enjoying my new Keurig, it is nice on the days (that my husband will be in the woods hunting) that I only need a few cups of coffee or having the ability to make a pot of coffee as I did on New Years. I have not yet made the ice coffee but I do look forward to that in the Spring and Summer months! This new pot allows me so many options!

Love this combination! i did not like the k-cup machine by itself. it was terrible, always breaking down. now they have really improved this! plus we love a big pot of coffee almost every day. we may have a k cup in the afternoon without having to make a half pot.

We purchased this machine after years of using another keurig. We like the design and ability to make a pot or single serving. Needed to purchase a universal pod attachment to use canned coffee in single brewer, we also use a ez- cup filter that makes it a cleaner method. Wife says coffee could be hotter.

Nice unit which does double duty. Easy to operate but doesn’t have an off switch. Also the carafe coffee isn’t as hot as we like it. No option on this but there is a hot option on the single serve side. Would be a great added feature. Otherwise very satisfied

Compared to our old Keurig, it took a few minutes to figure it all out, but love it ! Just wish there were graduations on the sides of the water reservoir. The multiple holes it puts in the top of the K cups seems to be responsible for the enhanced boldness of the coffee when using the single serving side (compared to our old model)

I recently purchased this K-Duo Gen 2 coffee maker. I like the fact that one machine can do Carafe coffee, but also single serve k cups. It has the multi stream feature, that brews a much more flavorful cup of coffee, compared to the older single needle brewers. It is also able to brew a full pot using the carafe. It is very easy to set up and operate. My only suggestions for improvement would be to make the carafe and grounds basket dishwasher safe, and to make the height of the single serve about 1/2" taller. That would allow a 32 oz "Yeti" style mug to fit in order to make iced tea.

Having the dual k-cups/pot coffee maker has been great, and even just the higher-quality k-cups maker is nice with the large water-reservoir. Only two things I have from keeping it a 5-star is 1) you can't remove the reservoir to fill it because it will mess up the sensor that tells how full it is, and 2) while the reservoir is large, it still almost fully depleats off one pot of coffee so and even bigger one would've been nice.

I’ll start that this may be a great solution for others, but it isn’t working for me. I’m disappointed with the “quality” of the product, because at the price point, I had expectations of more substantial parts. This unit is best described as having a “chintzy” feel. However, my biggest complaint is the warming plate 2 hour hold time for the pot warmer. This device replaces a Cuisinart dual brewing unit (with grinder) and that unit had a 4 hour warmer which better fit our household needs for the morning based on wake up times. Generally, we start the day with a pot of ground beans brewed then transition to K-Cups through the day/evening. So, this unit fits part of our needs but I’m not completely sold on the value. I wish the warmer time had been shared in the description which would have driven me to select a K-Cup only option and complimented with a drip brewer more aligned to my specific needs and quality expectations.

Replaced our first generation K-Duo with this latest and greatest and we are very happy we did. Everything works great and the unit itself is much lighter, less bulkier and has nicer appearance than the previous one. We drink a lot of coffee in our home so this unit will be getting a workout and we will be using all the new features.
