[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the new saddle pack packaging for Members Mark Chicken thighs. This new packaging gave me the opportunity to place it my deep freezer without taking up a lot of room. You are able to cut the packaging into four separate packaging (if you choose). In each section, it holds three pieces of chicken thighs so you can prepare four separate meals or you can prepare the whole package. The chicken thighs are a nice size and not too much fat to clean and they do have to bone in each one. One dish that I prepared was some barbecue chicken (photo) and it was delicious.

yeah I don't like this new packaging I can't see what I'm getting. apparently it's deceiving for a reason. I only have my Sam's membership because I like to buy meat here. I have to buy my most used meat being chicken thighs somewhere else then what's the point of the membership.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I prefer dark meat and these chicken thighs did not disappoint. I always throw them in my crockpot and they turn out great!! They are excellent for chicken and rice. The price isn't so bad either for the amount of thighs in the pack. You can also cut the bag in half and freeze the rest if you do not want to use the whole amount while keeping the other half sealed.

Hate the new packaging. I used to buy bone in skin on chicken thighs 6-7 trays at a time and split it up. This new packaging is so terrible and the chicken is soggy from soaking in all the slime in the package. It makes the texture different. Needs to change back to the tray style packaging.

ever since they changed the packaging the thighs smells nasty. ive bought about 5 packs over the past few months and the same thing every time. like they are bad. even if it weeks before the use by date. the old packaging the thighs didnt have an off smell when you opened it. I'm going to start buying my thighs from somewhere else.

This new packaging seems good, but it serves to hide a poorly butchered chicken thigh. Some of the packets include half chicken thighs , some little pieces, and very few whole chicken thighs. The sizes are also not uniform, so there's no way to cook these at the same time. Please go back to the old packaging. This new packaging only serves to hide what you don't want customers to see. The boneless chicken thighs and the bone in chicken thighs have the same problem.

The new packing is horrible!! You can not see the meat your purchasing thighs are disproportionate in size, meat isn't cut properly, skin is torn or cut strangely. I feel they've adapted this new packaging to get away with being lazy packaging! I will not be renewing my membership. Too many changes and price differences aren't worth a paid membership.

These are the BEST chicken thighs!!! They are vacuum sealed in small portions of two to three pieces (depending on size) each within the larger package to keep them fresh longer! No more needing to open a big package of chicken just to portion it out to be frozen! So much less fuss because that work is already done for you!!! I just toss what I'm not going to use right away directly into the freezer with no additional effort on my part needed! If I was going to freeze it for months I might stick it in an extra freezer bag just to be sure it was protected but the plastic it comes in is already fairly thick. We generally use it in a week or two though. It also only has the one thigh bone still left in it. No extra anything still sticking to it - adding dead weight to your total purchase price and causing you to pick around more bones and gristle that you can't even eat in order to prepare it. There is enough skin left to cover the meat, and keep it moist, while cooking but not so much that you need to trim the excess. There are no big pockets of fat clinging to them that you need to scrape away either!! Just good meat and one single bone. These are EXCELLENT and ECONOMICAL chicken thighs and I will never buy anything else again!!

Zero stars isn't an option. This new sealed packaged plastic packaging is horrible, but the chicken is much worse. I have been buying chicken from Sam's Club for 25 or so years, I will no longer buy it if it is packaged like it is now. The pieces looked like they were cut from a chicken with a weed whipper or a two year old with a machete, the thighs sizes were massively different in size. The small size piece in the picture could fit into a tablespoon when cooked.

Leave it to a corporation to put its meddling fingers where they don't belong. Believe the other reviews and buy your thighs elsewhere. Didn't realize these were skin on OR off, as half of mine had skin half did not. Unequal numbers of thighs in each bag. Awful quality. Some tiny. Some giant. And speaking of the bag: they're disturbingly hard to open; people suggesting they're better for freezing must be freezing for years as well, because the old trays froze just fine for a year. Will not be buying thighs from Sam's again. Just spend the extra .30 or so and go to aldi.
