New packaging, same product.

I am a frequent buyer of this product. With that said, I'm not sure how I feel about the new packaging. There are just as many pieces in the whole package as there was before. But, unless you are using them all the same day, the individual sections do not fit the need of my family. It appears that each section holds 3 pieces of chicken. I need 4 per meal. The new packaging stacks and freezes fine without the need for opening and repackaging- if you only need 3 pieces.

Quality is going downhill

I do not like this new packaging. You can't see what you're getting and I think that is the purpose of the packaging. And I was not happy with what I did get. The thighs are not proportionate at all. Some are normal size while some are so small they look like they're from a pigeon. I've included a picture so you can see the difference in the sizes

Disappointed

Much more poorly packed than the flat trays they previously came in. They also seem to have more fluid in each pack. While separating to freeze, I nicked one of the packages and had to re-bag. It actually contained two thighs and a leg. Not really happy with this product.

Like the packaging, would like the same size thigh

I dont have to repackage before freezing which is a definite plus. We have used 2 packages of the Members Mark brand and find that 1 package had 3 good sized thighs and the other had 4 smallish thighs. It feels like we are getting fewer thighs at the same price. The thighs were delicious though, so...

Members Mark Chicken thighs - no quality

Not a fan of the packaging. Each section contains 3 prices so I cooked 6. What started as large portions quickly shrank up during cooking. There was a lot of water in the product. I am a true Members Mark brand shopper but I won’t buy these again.

Find something else.

not well cleaned, the meat is to soft causing it to dry out in cooking, bad packing, limited to defrost 3 at a time or to many at for daily use. this is not the same members mark product Sam's used to cary very disappointed in new product. i do give credit for keeping the same price. but, it is inferior to what the stores used to carry.

Don’t like the new packaging

I have a business that prepares lots of chicken and opening these containers takes extra time and labor. The thighs I bought were disfigured and some were useable.

Chicken Change

I live in Virginia Beach, VA. I’ve been buying meat and chicken at Sams club (3345 Virginia Beach Blvd) for decades. I’m used to seeing the chicken thighs sitting in a yellow Styrofoam tray covered with a clear film. Today my only choice was Member’s Mark chicken thighs packaged in plastic pockets. Now, today I see the thighs, 3 to a pocket, 4 pockets attached to a flexible sheet of plastic. Once the scotch tape is cut you have a package I think many would think of chicken saddle bags. These pockets are not easy to open. I don’t think I should have to use scissors to open the pocket and then must deal with the mess I squeeze out. Now I have six thighs laid out on a cutting board. They looked like they had been run through a woodchipper (see attached). I had to unwind the skin and fit it over the thighs. I don’t think they are going to cook very well on the grill. If I had biodegradable glue, I could reattach the skin, but I don’t so I can’t. I’m not certified to repair chicken thighs. Anyway, I haven’t eaten any of the thighs but hope they will taste much better than they look.

Where is the QC?

For some reason Sam's changed from flats to bagging their chicken and quality of the cuts has gone WAY down. Tons of extra fat, skin and some meat that looks shredded. NOT happy with the change and it's the same for the chicken breasts.

No longer buying chicken at Sam’s

Sam’s has changed how they package chicken. You can longer inspect the Tray as they have moved to sealed cryopact bags. All you know is the weight. So you could be getting nice large pieces or a bags of small pieces with lots of skin and bones and little meat. Our first experience with the new packaging was a pile of small thighs with little usable meat. That’s it for us. No longer buying it.
