NOT BIRRIA TACOS

Definitely not birria tacos, more like a cheese quesadilla and some kind of meat with no flavor at all, and don’t get me started on the consomé, tastes like left over chili… I will not be buying these ever again

Just okay

These taste the same as the crisp up quesadillas, just added the consomme. They're okay, just don't taste like a real birria taco. Would be good with just meat and cheese so you can add your toppings you prefer to make it taste more like a real birria taco.

Something different that's good.

Nice size. Easy to fix. Most in my family liked these. I would have loved them, but due to dietary restrictions, wished they had just meat and cheese inside and left out veggies so I could stuff my own. This is like a fajita quesadilla. Will buy again.

Underwhelming by all points

these don't taste like Birria tacos at all, they are a chili like pot roast (what lol) that have a huge slice of american cheese and a watered down can chili as consommé. 0/10 the worst box i've ever bought at sam's club %26 i love their premade dinners! Just not good.

Consume

I air fried the taco. The shell was nice and crispy and the chesse had a great melt on it. over all it was good. I especially like the combo of the cheese and bell pepper which were the stars. beef had proper consistency of low and slow but flavor not quite there. Oh the consume, treated as a dip...lets say if it was the sauce/meat drippings when no one was looking someone dumped an entire envelope taco seasoning packet.

Not birria. Buy if you like cheesesteak!

Let me start by saying this is not a bad taco, but is NOT a birria taco. Price wasn't bad for 6 tacos and sauce. 3 birria and consomé are about $11 where I live. 3 stars bc they don't taste like birria, not bc they're bad. Pros: They're quick. The price isn't bad. The flavor is okay. The consomé is good over grits, white rice, or mashed potatoes. Cons: They're not birria tacos. The cheese tastes like sliced american cheese. The cheese flavor overpowers the other flavors. You need the consomé. There's not enough meat. The shell reminds me of taco bell gordita. They should've been called Philly cheesesteak tacos with consomé. The name would fit better. I've never had birria with peppers and onions. I would buy them again if they were on sale or if i was in the mood for a philly taco!

not buying again

have you bought frozen burritos and been disappointed with not enough filling. this is exactly that. Definitely not authentic. no flavor. not enough meat. most calories are from cheese and tortilla. sauce was really thick and mild to no flavor at all. wont be buying again. doesn't look anything like the photos. there was litrally 1 small wedge of pepper and onion in the taco. lol. costs $1.75 per taco. thats more expensive than local taco shop and they give more meat.

Made me sick

I typically don't write reviews but after my experience I feel like I should give a warning. These are not great, and not worth the steep price point. You could get the authentic version from a local shop for the same price. I started to feel unwell after eating these, and woke up the next morning with some pretty extreme stomach issues that have continued on. It's just ironic because I recently had the actual Mexican version of these from a local restaurant recently and did not have the same stomach issues. I would avoid if you're sensitive. It's not worth it, and the taste really isn't all that good. Nowhere near being authentic, and the broth tastes more like chili.
