I am not a guy that has ever liked or grown a beard, and it feels that shavers are always made now with bearded guys in mind. That said I am happy with this shaver, and it does cut down on the time my former shaver required - All in all it is a good solid shaver -

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the shaver for 3 or so weeks. Since the blades are sharp things are going well. My last norelco lasted almost 50 years with me changing blades every year. Nothing will ever match the old time life expectancy. Hey, this works and it is easy to hold. My last shaver had the blades that moved. This one has the entire head moving with the blades locked into one position. I don’t actually see the difference in the shave and that is a good thing so overall I’m happy with my purchase I did not get the fancier more expensive model since I did not need the extras that did not affect the shaving requirements.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Norelco shavers for 40 years. Honestly, there's been little improvement from model to model. Probably the biggest jump was allowing for wet shaving with cream - which really is a game changer. One frustrating thing Norelco does is remove features (like a pop-up trimmer), only to then re-introduce them later. This model brings back all of my favorite old features like that integrated pop-up trimmer, and also the shaving heads that pop up on a hinge as opposed to completely coming off (and falling in my sink as i was trying to shave). I was a little irritated by the fact that it doesn't come with a wall charger, but I understand the concept - it can be USB charged and most everyone carries around a USB charger, so it's one less thing to bring when you travel. Older models had a powered cleaning system - this one is much simpler, and honestly, I think works just as well. The battery life is excellent, and honestly 3 bars is plenty to tell my how much juice I have left as opposed to my older model that gave me the exact percentage (again, why did they remove that feature?...). The head is angular as opposed to rounded, as on recent prior models. I actually prefer this - it makes it easier to get at corners like sideburns. The closeness of shave is probably the best of any Norelcos I've owned. And they must be using a different material for the inside, because it sure cleans up easier with water than prior models. I would highly recommend.

Electric shavers I've tried in the past just never were that effective. However, since getting the Philips Series 7000 a couple of months ago, I have completely changed over to the Series 7000 electric shaver. I love it. It provides an amazing shave, and I like the tracking software that shows how well I am shaving on my phone.

I ha ve always had a difficulty with my neck area, either I miss a lot or if I work at it for a long time my neck becomes very raw and red. It actually hurts, might look good and feels good but I just lived with short curly hair on my neck OR i would get out the hand razor and shaving cream. This new razor cuts much better, faster and absolutely ZERO problems in the neck area..... In fact it works great wet or dry. The best razor I have ever owned.
