Great vacuum. I have had this vacuum for years This is my second vacuum cleaner of this brand Dyson. My older vacuum cleaner is still working but I vacuum every day because of our pets. This vacuum cleaner pulls hard and is pretty easy to use. I also use it to vacuum my car. Has great attachments.

It really doesn’t work for me in my small house- lol it’s suck is so strong i can’t push it across my rugs! It would be great in my other house so I’ll take it over there. Very strong suck not for area rugs lol. It works ok on wood floors.not complaining! My needs are just different where I bought it for.

The Dyson on bare floors works excellently. However on short pile tight weave rugs the suction is too good. It is almost impossible to push the unit foward because the vacuum grabs the carpet like a Xenomorph face hugger. It could easily be fixed at the factory by adding a hole on both sides of the floor attachment with a slide to regulate the amount of suction to allow the unit to move. Drilling holes by the consumer would probably void the warranty, so it go back for a refund.

I have a Dyson which is smaller and I gifted that to my daughter. I have had it for years and the quality was excellent. This one was on sale and even though it was bigger in size I thought it would work great for my needs but it was just too bulky and difficult to maneuver. I also put it on the highest pile setting and my carpet is not a high pile but it was so difficult to push so I chose to return it.

We have had our old Dyson vacuum for over 8 years and decided to get a new one. We bought this one and honestly it's great. I can tell it's an upgrade from the older version. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because with some rugs it's really hard to vacuum. Seems like the suction on it is really strong or something because it takes some muscle to vacuum. It's only certain rugs and I'm hoping that over time it won't be as difficult to vacuum with.

We had a Dyson ball vacuum for about 13 years ago and we loved it but it had a crack in the tubing as was getting old anyway so we bought this Dyson animal because the price was great. We feel it was a step down from the old one. It feels cheaper made/not as sturdy and there seems to be no control of the handle release mechanism when using the vacuum and when you're done and try to put it back in the upright position.

The Dyson is easy to assemble. Light weight lots of tools to make cleaning quick and easy. Goes from carpet to hard surfaces with a click of a switch. With many pets and kids I vacuum often throughout the day. The Dyson has made this so much easier. Picks up everything. Great suction. Easy to empty. Wand extension make cleaning drapes easy. Great vacuum.

This is my 3rd Dyson upright and by far my favorite. The suction power is great and it does a wonderful job on carpets as well as hard floors. My only issue is the hose attachment. The pictures show a lady walking up/cleaning the stair with the hose--I call BS! Due to the power of the vacuum, the hose doesn't stretch out. When you are using it the vacuum follows you around and you have to fight the hose to get it to extend. It was the same with my last model as well.

I am hard on vacuum cleaners due to dogs and five parrots in my home. My last three vacuum cleaners (Hoover Pet and Shark Pet) did not last more than two and three years. I am hoping this vacuum will last much longer. The Dyson has already proved to be much better suction and overall performance on my hardwood, tile and rug covered floors. My review if five stars based on performance compared to the other brands I used. Time will tell if it outlasts the life of the others too.

Super machine at a great price, just sorry I waited so long to buy one. The Dyson hand held electric is also great if you have pets
