I have been buying Dyson products for a long time. The only reason I bought this one, was because of the cheaper price. I thought it was cheeper because there were no attachments with it. I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing this product. I can barely push or pull it through my carpet. I have never had that problem with my other Dyson vacuums. It definitely picks stuff up out of the carpet, it also picks the carpet up. I have a sore shoulder after using this product. I would recommend spending a little bit more money and getting one with an adjustable suction on it.

Difficult to restore extension wand/tube into housing, pinches fingers, if not careful or patient, easy to break plastic notches. Releasing and Latching the upright feature is difficult, feels like your breaking the machine. Vacuum sucked my hair in from the top! That was a shocker! Very heavy and is quiet loud. All pets flee in terror. Will suck the crome off a bumper, so I got what I wanted. Ate a throw rug, but a good suction will do that. I feel like Im walking around with a tornado on a leash, this thing picks up everything! I have hardwood and tile, my home is elevated so it vibrates the floor when I vacuum. If it hadn't pinched my fingers just trying to put the extion wand in it's home, I would have rated it 5/5.

this is the second one I've had first one a got when they first came out about a year ago it broke. didn't no were to get the shaft to fix it so i got a new one love love love it it does so much so for it has done everything i have tryed. Love it

I have wanted a Dyson for years and am now the proud owner of one! I love it!! Talk about suction…..wow!! Also? I love that I caught in with a huge markdown that made it impossible to resist!!

It doesn't come with the attachment holder that's pictured and in the assembly instructions. I called them and was told it doesn't come with it so figure out what where you want to store it because it won't be conveniently held by the vacuum itself.

Very hard to pull device backward on the carpet. Part shown on the illustrations is not included in the box so the attachments cannot be attached to the vacuum.

This is a great vacuum , a Dyson it doesn't get much better! The power is great, %26 the vacuum attachments are wonderful !! It is an overall 5 plus stars, as far as a great vacuum at a great price. Highly recommend Ed!!

For a standard house vac it seems ok. I can't say at this point if its a sturdy unit yet, but it doesn't feel like it would hold up well if someone accidently dropped in while carrying it. It is light weight. ONE THING that I found ridiculous about this particular unit is. It does not come with a tool holder. So that suction head you see in the picture has nowhere to clip to on the actual vacuum its self. I had to order the holder separately. I have never had to do that in the past with other vacuums. Even lesser priced units. Also you'll need to order the small stair suction adapter if you are in need of one of the small 6 inch wide suction heads. Ironically both tool holder and stair head are shown in the manual. ( THEN WHY SHOW THEM IN THE MANUAL?) Also how cheap of a company to not include at very least a tool holder on the unit. we all know how easy it is to misplace vacuum heads. Especially in a house hold with kids. Anyhow. Overall I say its just OK.

The Dyson on bare floors works excellently. However on short pile tight weave rugs the suction is too good. It is almost impossible to push the unit foward because the vacuum grabs the carpet like a Xenomorph face hugger. It could easily be fixed at the factory by adding a hole on both sides of the floor attachment with a slide to regulate the amount of suction to allow the unit to move. Drilling holes by the consumer would probably void the warranty, so it go back for a refund.

I’ve never had a vacuum cleaner that suctions and picks up particles this well. It took me a minute to figure out how to pull the hose out %26 attach - probably because it was so easy. There doesn’t seem to be a storage spot on the vacuum for the attachments though, even though they efficiently connect together.
