Simply Amazing!

My oldest daughter was visiting from NYC and asked to sleep on the purple mattress to try it out...She slept for 10 plus hours and had dreams of holding business meetings, but they had to be held on the mattress.:) It was hysterical and confirmed for her the power of the purple mattress.

Tried it, returned it, still recommend it

We tried the king-sized Purple mattress as our first online bed-in-a-box solution. We really liked the idea of a reinvented bed that was built to last and made to provide optimal support. The entertaining commercials helped too. When we received the bed, it was no easy feat to get it in the apartment and on the frame since it weighed 140 lbs! The packaging had the option of unzipping the shipping bag and sliding the bed out or using the included cutting tool to cut the bag in order to extract the mattress. Like other bed-in-a-box solutions, the mattress was wrapped in a large amount of plastic to help keep it compressed during shipping. We had to cut through it until the bed could start to unravel and expand to its full size. This is standard for bed-in-a-box mattresses. After allowing the mattress time to decompress, we checked it out. The mattress felt high quality and very supportive as compared to our previous beds. It also slept very cool, allowing me to use more than just a sheet without sweating at all. It was fairly easy to sleep on at first, though as our bodies became more used to the mattress, my wife started having problems where parts of her body would go numb while sleeping on it. We noticed that her side was not as supportive as my side, so we contacted Purple's customer service about it. Purple's customer service was amazing. We received a response within only about two hours via their ticketing email system. With only a few messages, we determined there was a foam density problem with the mattress, which was causing the lack of support. While Purple's policy would void our 100 day trial if we replaced the mattress, they were willing to let the trial continue since we hadn't had an opportunity to really try the mattress yet. All we had to do was receive the free replacement and donate or recycle the old mattress and provide a copy of the receipt to complete the swap. Sadly, we still did not find the Purple mattress to be the right fit for us. I eventually found it to be too supportive for my back and my wife got to the point where she couldn't sleep on it anymore. We initiated a return request and, just like with the defective one, we simply had to get the mattress donated or recycled and provide the receipt. They also had a form they wanted the charity to sign, but they assumed that the charity would not sign the form and said the receipt would be enough for the refund. Our full refund was issued within only two hours of sending a scan of our donation receipt. In conclusion, while we did not find the mattress to be the right fit for us, I would still recommend trying the Purple mattress due to their innovation, quality, and excellent service team. The price tag is a bit higher than other solutions, but the mattress is worth trying for memory foam haters out there. Purple also did not beg for us to review their mattress like the other two companies we tried. I appreciate that.

And I'm not disappointed!! I forgot all the reasons I wanted one but I'm reminded periodically when my partner moves in his sleep and I don't even know it or the day after the first night on it when I remembered I had a new mattress and there was no "breaking in" period.

I am one to want to really take care of my body, it is for this reason that I have jumped for mattress to mattress in search for that perfect one. If I'm being honest here I didn't trust purple, I thought it couldn't be that good, is an internet product, c'mon yet I couldn't be any more wrong about it, purple it is indeed the perfect mattress.

Great Night's Sleep

After months of researching (and agonizing) over which mattress to buy, I decided on the Purple mattress over the competition. I was really intrigued by the honeycomb top layer and had read in some reviews that it helped with pressure points such as shoulders and hips (I have broad shoulders) without sacrificing support which is exactly what I need. I am also a hot sleeper and thought the honeycomb would allow better air disbursement and thus keep me cooler throughout the night which it has done. And I went with the regular Purple, not the hybrid, because I am 110 lbs and felt the hybrid would be too firm for me. The redesigned edges hold up just fine. So far, I am really liking my Purple mattress and am very happy with my choice.

The perfect fit

I am a combination back and side sleeper. I was having intense back pain pretty frequently and I thought it was from sitting at my desk at work all day, but I remembered sleeping on my moms Purple mattress a year ago and having the best sleep of my life, so I decided to buy one for myself. Guess what? No more back pain! I sleep through the night! I love feeling the support whether I am sleeping on my back or on my side. 10/10 highly recommend Purple.

We have had for a few weeks and we aren't sure whether we will be keeping. It doesn't seem to solve any of of morning aches and doesn't provide a good night sleep. We went and stayed at a hotel and even at our kids and they are all seem to be the same. Our purple mattress seems to have softer spots and firmer sits, the bottom half seems softer for example, both when you lay or sit on it. The top half is firmer. We want to see though if we will adjust over time.

Horrible customer service

I ordered the mattress 2 months ago and it's not here. Spoke to about 6 different people and they are obviously reading a script. Honesty goes a long way. If you are running behind in producing a high end mattress that customers pay a lot of money for, then just say that. I'll be upset but at least you are honest. I've gotten the run around, I've bren hung up on, I've been given new delivery dates and still the mattress is not here. I've even received an email asking how I'm enjoying my new mattress that still hasn't been delivered. I've been on a 3 way call between purple and mannor and they were both putting the blame on each other as far as where the mattress is. Very professional. At this point I'm over it, I don't know how good your mattress is but I'll probably have to cancel that order because for what I paid for, tempurpedic has something that's pretty much the same thing except for your polymer elastic thing. I'm beyond frustrated at companies who can't spent time to work out a system to create good customer service and follow up. Evertime I've had to call to find out why my mattress hasn't been delivered. This is ridiculous.

Defective mattress

This is my second purple mattress. The first one was a queen and this one was a king. It arrived misshaped and with flat spots where the foam isn't properly squishy. It looks obviously deformed by the naked eye, without even needing to push on it. The first one we bought has had no issues, but this one is defective. The warranty process seems not only difficult -- but impossible. They simply do not reply. I've been updating these tickets and its been over a week with no response from Purple. I contacted their support department 3 times now and each time they tell me "Our warranty team is about 8 days behind on emails" or "Our warranty team is 14 days behind on emails". I get that they have a ton of backlog of messages but they could take a minute or two and acknowledge the issue so we can rest easier knowing it will be resolved. All the meanwhile, my wife and I have this defective mattress to sleep on. I was a happy Purple customer with my first purchase going fine, but the way this is being handled put such a bad taste in my mouth. The Purple is a great value mattress but if you have any sort of issues with it, their refund/warranty process is not as described and at this point, the claims are fraudulent.
