First off, I love my mattress. My son bought on a couple years ago and I was skeptical at first being all rolled up in a duffle bag. That all changed once I saw it come to life. After seeing his experience with it after 2 years I was sold. I was able to compare the original to a hybrid, I chose the original. I don't think my wife and I are big enough people to "break the plane". I'm very happy with the product, the process from ordering and shipping and the customer service. I couldn't be happier. Would definitely recommend.

I had a "thick" (18 in) foam mattress. Loved it. Except, when it got heated up just by my sleeping on it. Then, it mostly felt like I was sleeping in a spoon.... with a Bic lighter turned on under it. The foam was just plain hot and like a sink hole. On average, I'd say I was waking up every 3 - 4 hours because of the "confined" feeling and the heat. The purple mattress ..... it's pretty dang sweet. First, There is NO sinking feeling. Second, it 'feels' like something between an ocean wave and an old "box spring" from the 1950's (minus the creaky springs and the unevenness of the springs but it has (what feels like) the 'suggestion' of a spring bed). Third, it is not hot. Fourth, the "sinking feeling" is just gone and this is like floating on the ocean foam that you see right at the beach where the waves dump it. It is 'light' and you have the solid cushiony feeling of the water underneath to support you - except there is no water. Basically, I do not wake up. I am not experiencing that 'sauna' feeling (which is okay ... when you are in a sauna ... but, not okay when you are in bed ... trying to sleep). This is a pretty sweet mattress. I suspect I am going to be a pretty happy camper for quite some time.

Within a week of using purple my back pain was completely gone. Any sleep problems I had seemed cured. However after about 4 months the mattress is sagging where I lay and where my husband lays. It no longer supports my body. I wake up with the same pains I had before buying purple. I've never had a mattress sag this quickly. Disappointed.

wow i had a sleep number and it just didn't feel great when i woke up i was sore and tired and since getting the purple bed i sleep better and i feel better getting up with out moaning and groaning if you think you need a new bed then you do trust me don't wait just get this thing you wont regret it

the mattress is fine. Still evaluating to see if it is exceptional. My complaint is that there was a promotion for a seat cushion when I bought the mattress. Got mattress, no cushion. Then they start a promotion for 1/2 price frame and cover. Great, but can't get through to customer support. If they put half as much effort in supporting people who purchase their product that they put into their ads it would be a much better experience.

The only reason I give four stars isn't by fault of the Purple team, or the product for that matter... it's mainly bc I haven't quite figured out what's going on with me. I thought sleeping on this mattress and pillow would be instant bliss, and forever great sleep. About half the time it is, but the other half I wake up with a pain in my neck and back. It's like sometimes the mattress is perfect, then others it's almost as if it's too soft for me. My wife is in love with it, and I for the most part am also. I'm not sure if my pillow height is not correct or what it is, but the strange thing is that it's not every night. I will say though that I toss and turn exponentially less, and am far more comfortable on it than ANY bed before it, I've just got to figure out this pillow thing I guess. It came with two risers and at first I didn't use either. At that point my back was billing me, but then I started using one of the risers and it got much much better, but still not 100 percent. I tried with both but instantly it felt too high and extremely uncomfortable. I did have to deal with customer service at one point on another issue and they helped them and there with no issues and they were extremely friendly. All in all I would most definitely recommend, and already have, to others. Thanks Purple.

I used to toss and turn in our old bed, that we only had for three years, and spent way more money on than The Purple Bed. The first night in The Purple bed was great! I still tossed and turned a little bit, but not nearly as much as usual. After about a week the tossing and turning pretty much came to a stop. My husband travels a lot for work and used to sleep better in hotel beds than at home. Not anymore! He loves the new bed.

We have spent so much money trying to find a mattress that we both could agree on and have a great night sleep, after buying 2 very high end expensive mattresses and ready to just give up, we were told about the purple mattress! Customer service was phenomenal, shipping was fast and this has been the best mattress ever!! Perfect night sleep on the 1st night! Didn't need a week or 2 to get used to it! Highly highly recommend!

I am very happy with my purple mattress. I am a side sleeper that suffers from night sweats and chronic back pain and so far, my mattress has given me the most confortable sleep that has helped me push through the day that follows. It's a great mattress for whatever type of sleeper you are.

My husband and I are so happy that we went with the purple mattress! The comfort of the purple mattress is like no other. I look forward to going to bed at night and not waking up with any aches! It truly is magical! It really is as easy as purple says! It didn't take long at all to get the mattress and set up was super easy! The customer service is outstanding. I want to buy all purple products!!
