I bought this mattress prior to hip replacement surgery, to replace a mattress I knew I wouldn't be comfortable on while recuperating. I'm normally not a back sleeper, but was aware that would be my only option for at least a few weeks. The mattress has been amazingly comfortable, and I'm very happy with it.

The best mattress I've had. My previous mattress was a pillow top with an extra down topper for super softness. I was nervous at the change.. after a week or so of sleeping on purple, I decided to try out with the down topper. Around 1am, I stripped the bed to take off the topper and sleep directly on the purple. It is the best mattress I've ever had... hands down!

So far so good. It only took about 3 nights for me to finally get a full nights sleep & wake up pain free. The pillow arrived later than the mattress but has also been a blessing. The pillow/mattress combo is working well. Praise God! PS. The sheets are amazing too. Definitely plan on ordering more sheets. Thank you for all your efforts. I'm very pleased with my purple mattress. My body feels wonderful now I use to feel so achy in the morning but not anymore. My husband loves the purple. It's really hard to lay down on the purple and not fall asleep that's how comfortable it is. So I have to sit on my chair when watching T.V. if I expect to see the end of the movie or show.

I purchased this for my mother in law and she loves it. I read tons of reviews about it taking forever to ship, and was pleasantly surprised as we were on a right deadline and I figured I was going to end up canceling the order if it didn't ship within the estimated 3-5 days. There were so many complaints about that so I had a backup option ready, but wanted to try to get her her preferred Purple mattress if I could. It shipped on time and arrived just when we needed it!!

So my wife and I have been sleeping on the Purple mattress for close to a month now. Our last mattress was 7.5 years old but it's been a real problem for a while now and it got to the point where I would sleep all night and wake up feeling like I slept a fraction of what I did. She was complaining of restless sleep and a painful knee from how she slept which she would use a pillow to help comfort her knees. Knowing how moving to a new mattress could take time for our bodies to adjust and fully expecting a rough start because of just HOW bad our previous mattress was I was prepared for the full trial Purple was offering. From the first nights sleep the change was immediate - my energy was up and I felt good. Confuzzeled why it was so smooth I went through a few more nights waiting for that harsh adjustment period. After each night not only did I feel so well rested but any numbness or pain I had previously from the last mattress after waking up was also gone. Almost a month later and neither one of us ever had to deal with any adjustment, it has just been amazing since the very first day. I feel fortunate because I know it's something to be expected so I think we got lucky. I can't tell you how great it is waking up EVERY day feeling well rested. I was seriously at my wits end and honestly didn't want to deal with traditional mattresses anymore. I've been researching these new range of online mattress retailers for probably 2 years now. It always came down to Purple being my pick because it just seemed unique and best fit our needs. We wanted something soft but firm but also supportive and that's absolutely what we got. I hear great things about the competitors too and many people are happy with those but the idea of that Purple layer seemed brilliant and unmatched. I was a tad weary of how it would feel but you honestly can't even tell that special grid like gel is even there. Since it's built inside It feels just like regular soft cloth material. It really does feel like it cradles all your pressure points and I really do agree that it's a firm mattress yet also soft where it counts. As for it keeping you cool it absolutely does. Even during this hot summer and humid nights, when we were a bit hot laying in bed, it never felt so on the bed itself. It helps you cool off much faster since the side you're laying on isn't absorbing the heat. Besides sleeping, reading has also been a pleasure as we don't constantly feel like we are sliding down as we struggle to sit up. Everything has just been better on the Purple. My wife has been thrilled herself and it didn't take long for her to say 'we're keeping it' either. I hope it holds up for a long time but the 10 year warranty does leave us feeling very confident. Couple of things to add - people mentioned a smell and there was indeed a very slight odor but only for about a week and it was gone. It was never anything THAT strong or even bad at all so don't let that deter you. Some people over exaggerate. Compared to our previous mattress which was a (King) pillow top, this thing seems like half the height which was initially a concern. Turns out we love being lower to the ground but it's something to keep in mind. Because of the height of our bed furniture though we couldn't use a box spring previously as it would have been WAY too high, so we had bought bunky boards which are near solid flat foundations. Turns out this is exactly what we needed for the Purple anyway so we also didn't have to purchase anything new for support. Now this is important - I see on Facebook people have complained about the mattress sinking in only to see later they all said they are using box springs which the Purple site specifically states NOT to use. I would recommend doing ALL research before trying out any of these online mattresses to ensure a smooth trial. All this info is on the site.

I was always in love with purple since the day I heard of them, I fell in love with my mattress as soon as I got it and even tried my own Raw Egg Test on my Purple Mattress and an older mattress and the Purple mattress proved to be as good as they claim!

My wife and I have been in the market for a new bed for quite a while. We were sleeping on a traditional spring mattress for 10 years and it was time for a new one. We slept on a few "memory foam" mattresses and did not like them at all. They all slept way too hot and I did NOT like that creepy slow sink into the foam and the ever so slow rebound of the foam. I did a lot of research on the new mattress technology; read a ton of reviews and watched a lot of YouTube videos. I decided to try the Purple Mattress first in our at-home trials based on the fact that it was not standard foam technology in the mattress. I am so happy we tried the Purple first! As soon as I laid on the mattress for the first time I was afraid it was going to be too soft as I am traditionally a firm mattress sleeper. No worries there, the Purple is just firm enough and just soft enough. The first night was the best sleep I got in as long as I can remember. My wife didn't seem to agree as she didn't have the greatest sleep. Thankfully it took about a week for her body to adjust to the mattress. She has been a side sleeper for as long as I have known her and she was getting bad sleep on the old mattress. She has now adjusted to the Purple and has now become a back sleeper and is sleeping all through the night for the first time in a long time! She now loves the mattress as well! Since having the Purple for about two weeks, we have since ordered the bed frame, the sheets, and the mattress protector! I truly did not know that I could sleep like this! It's like sleeping in the clouds! The sheets are super stretchy and sleep super cool; no sweat or heat whatsoever! That is a good thing because the mattress does not sleep hot either; not even a little bit. I haven't woken up once in a fit of sweat like I used to do on the old mattress during hot nights. The frame was pretty easy to set up and it didn't take any help - but I would recommend having a socket wrench on hand as that will make the job a lot quicker. I actually look forward to sleep now where I did not before. This mattress and matching sheets have changed my life. They have given me the best sleep of my life. I wake up with no aches and pains fully rested and ready to go! If you are considering this mattress, do not think on it any more! Just get it. You will thank yourself forever!!!

Engineered with care. Durable. Dependable. Every mattress company has a marketing gimick these days, but results talk. -I sleep hot (no AC in my house); this is the coolest mattress I've ever used. -Every mattress with memory foam smells when you first open them up; I opened a window and the scent was gone in 4 hours. Stop whining. -I have mild central sleep apnea and always wake up feeling groggy; no longer an issue. -Side, back, and stomach sleeper; it's all good. Sleep on whatever you like. I took time out of my day to write this because I actually believe Purple beds are better than whatever else you're considering spending your money on.

My purty wife and I purposefully pursued purchasing a purple mattress. It was purported to be a perfect purgatory for persons like us! Pursuant to the purple egg drop... which we thought was purty cool... we proudly pulled open the purse-strings, purviewed the purported claims and proudly purchased the perfect purple people pleaser... The King! It is indeed all and more than it purports to be. So don't be a Puritan... be a purposeful pertinent purty person and join the Purple family. Your cat will thank you... he thinks its purrrrrrfect!
