Honestly, before I had back problems I probably never would have bought a mattress like this. I was a pillow-top kind of girl...but after gaining a lot of weight (I am 320 lbs at 5'10") my pillow-top was not cutting it anymore. My mattress was 10 years old..."Ten years old!" You exclaim. "No wonder your back is all jacked up!" Yes, my old mattress had the best years behind her, but I also tried my sister's new pillow-top mattress, my brother's dense memory foam mattress, my best friend's firm mattress, and multiple couches...they all aggravated my back :-(. After a late night browsing the Internet and getting sucked into the dark side of YouTube, I came across the ad for the Purple mattress (without even looking for a new mattress...you all know how that goes so don't judge, Judgey-McJudgerson). To make a long story longer, I bought a king size Purple the next day and it was delivered to my door 3 weeks later. Since I was tracking the package as soon as I ordered, I was super excited when it arrived to say the least. It was easy to lug to my second floor bedroom and unroll onto my pre-existing box springs. (My sister and I did unroll it upside down at first, but it was not hard at all to flip over. *Disclaimer* I am AMAZINGLY strong though). The first few hours on the purple was interesting. It was almost as if I could feel my back re-adjusting itself. After I fell asleep and woke 4ish hours later, I felt better than I had in a long time. It wasn't a cure all for my back problems as I hoped it would be, I almost envisioned I would awake with super energy and be 150 lbs lighter (my Mother always said I had a vivid imagination) but I did have one of the better slumber's I have had without being drunk. It has now been over a month and I love my Purple. I can't always sleep on my side like I used to on my pillow-top (I get weird upper back ache, but I do believe if I was lighter it wouldn't be a problem) but sleeping on my back is bliss and I fall asleep very quickly (unless, you know... the dark side of YouTube). On a side note, my sister does not have back issues and she does not like it very much. She thinks she can feel the honey-comb thingy too much. I am trying to get my brother to try it out because he has back issues as well, but I will have to update this review once he tries it. (Pluse he doesn't have the princess-and-the-pea-syndrome like my sister apparently does). FIVE STARS!

I have not bought a mattress yet but I visited the showroom and wanted to share what I learned. I laid on all 4 mattresses. Im 5ft 8 165. I like a medium feel and am a side sleeper first and then a back sleeper. I felt that the standard mattress was a tinch soft for my liking. I tried the 3 hybrids and found the 2" to be to my liking. The 3" was a little soft for my liking and the 4" was tooo soft. It doesnt mean others wouldnt like it. I am keeping in mind that the all of them will break in over time so for me the 2" would be more my style. When you kneel on them you can really feel the density of the various choices, but sleeping is the main concern. Just my opinion. There is a local home show in a week so Im waiting for that before I pull the trigger on something.

Hi I'm a mechanic and I'm always moving around twisting and turning and it really puts a number on my back. After getting a purple mattress I've been getting more sleep and waking up well rested and with no back pain at all. The he'll really cradles your body and helps me get to sleep faster. I Highly recommend.

If you're a woman over 50, you'll most likely know what it feels like to have had hot flashes. Traditional matteresses store these heat waves that flare up, which makes it all the more difficult to cool down. The Purple matteresse has saved my nights. The Purple matteresse has kept its promise of "cool" nights. I only have two comments: 1. it seems that the top layers is a bit shorter than the underlying support layers, so my pillow sinks between the matteresse and the bed frame. 2. after enjoying the Purple matteresse for about 3 weeks, we already noticed slight permanent depressions where we sleep. I just hope they don't get any deeper. I would like to end on a very positive note regarding the customer service I received after placing the order, as well as the speedy and efficient delivery to Hawaii--believe me it's not that common when you live in the middle of the Pacific. Also, the follow-up on the deliver and the customer survey that I'm filling in is very professional. Great job guys!

Recently slept on a premium non-Purple mattress while on a month long vacation. It caused major back pain. Came home to my Purple mattress, and the pain abated. I didn't even have to go to the chiropractor. So Purple will be saving me money as I no longer want to travel and sleep on other mattresses.

We switched from a tempurpedic to purple. Thinking the 100 days for free is an amazing trail period. It's been 17 days and we love it so much. We got rid of our tempurpedic pillows and completely made the switch to an entire purple bed. Amazing work!

This is a great mattress. After about a month of having the purple, my body is still adjusting to the bed. I guess this is because I had been sleeping on a bed that was a piece of junk and started to sink pretty bad. I do feel that it helps realign the natural curve of my spine which is probably why I'm still adjusting. I do notice that my posture has improved while standing so that is a positive. I'm pretty confident that my back will get completely acquainted with the bed ( at least I hope so!) Anyway, it is a top of the line mattress and should be given a chance if you are serious about getting a new bed.

at first when we got our purple mattress, it took a few days to get used to the change. It's not like any mattress we've had before. It is very soft, and yet you don't sink in and get swallowed by the softness. It is firm yet soft at the same time. Very supportive yet like sleeping on a cloud. We also like that it doesn't have a lot of motion transfer: when I toss and turn in my sleep it does not make the other side of the bed move. I definitely recommend purple, but please know it's not like any mattress you have had before.

I was very skeptical about a bed that is so different than most of us are used to. But after a lot of research and after watching tons of review videos I decided to give it a try. Turns out it was a gamble that really paid off. No more back pain, no more tossing and turning. The bed feels amazing and stays cool. I am so glad I bought a purple. Finally a product that lives up to the hype.

My daughter (14 years) suggested we try this mattress after seeing advertised on YouTube. We had just moved and were in need of mattresses. I had no reason not to try. We ordered two of them (for both of my kids). The ordering process was simple. The delivery was way faster than expected. Both of my girls LOVE their beds. My younger daughter has struggled with neck pain for over a year. She has been pain free after sleeping on this mattress and pillow for about a week. I have no complaints and would order again.
