I've been using this for maybe a decade and buy the large bottles only a couple times a year. I recently opened a new bottle, purchased 4/24/2024. This product is now unusable for me because the fragrance change, as far as I can tell, is identical to the dog shampoo I've bought. I honestly cannot stand over a sink that smells like I'm giving the dogs a bath and want to put my dishes in there. Ew!!! I'm going to buy something else. Even if Dawn works the best the smell is absolutely repellant to me now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cook every holiday and I cook meals in the winter for sure. I very rarely need to use stainless steel pads on my pots and I've burned plenty. This is one product that does what it is suppose to. When shopping I don't care what is on sale I go right for the "Dawn". I am addicted to it. It is like a cigarette addiction I get nervous when I am about to run out. I am a one dishwahing cleaner kind of gal. No other will do.

We loved Dawn soap. It’s our favorite brand of dish soap. We compromise on other household products to make it cost effective , but when it comes to dish soap we never compromise and always buy Dawn. It’s been our favorite dish soap since forever but last week we bought the new Dawn platinum Fresh Rain scente and we absolutely dislike it. The smell is horrendous. It smells like something is rotting in the sink or old rotting egg sitting on a plate. It smells very disgusting. Which P&G person was incharge of this? What the heck you were thinking? Please make changes, bring back the original scent. The mild refreshing one.

The reason for my 2 star rating is because the "new and improved fresh scent" on Dawn Platinum is terrible. It's so bad, I can't stand to use it. It smells somewhat rancid, or at least that what the smell invokes for me. While I loved the cleaning performance of Dawn, I will no longer buy it unless they change the smell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great for all kinds of cleaning. It cuts through greasy pots and pans and makes glass casseroles squeaky clean. It also is great for hand washing stained clothes. It is a good bargain because a little goes a long way.

I bought a new bottle of dawn orginal that had the new scent. It's awful!!! I put it outside for my husband to use. Thank goodness i was able to find a bottle of the original scent. If they keep this scent, I will not be purchasing dawn anymore and I'm not going to use the fragrance free version. Why would change a good thing. Just keep the original and add a line called new perfume scent. Ugh!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of my favorite household products. I not only use it for dishes, I also use it to quickly wash away food stains on clothes, and food stains on my furniture. It has a fresh, clean scent and it also gentle on my hands.

We’ve been happy with Dawn Platinum for quite awhile. No longer! Can’t have such a strong and nasty smell in our kitchen, not to mention in our dishwater and on our dishes. The old smell wasn’t great, but we buy dish soap for its cleaning power, not its perfume. Can’t get past the smell of this stuff, though, so unless and until you fix the stink problem we’re ex-fans.

The refreshing rain scent really smells horrible. I used it for a week to see if it would grow on me also because I don't like throwing out things but it still stunk. I had to throw it away. What were you guys thinking with this scent. It smells like musty urination.

Used Dawn for over 30 years. it just doesn't do the job anymore. I'm extremely disappointed. You've changed and you're not the Dawn I once knew ! And NO I don't have hard water or whatever excuses are replied with. I've been newly introduced to brand and store brand dish soap that does a much better job. I'm still happy with my Tide used over 30 years, my Corolla that is 26 years old, my Mac powerbook that is 10 years old; because, I choose quality. Unfortunately, Dawn will no longer be on that list !
