I bought this thinking it was regular Dawn. The smell is horrible. Perfume-like which is not what I want when I wash dishes. Bought this at a warehouse store so it will be awhile before I can use it all. Too far to take it back so I'm stuck. Please stop playing with a great product.

Hate the new “clean” scent. It smells like laundry detergent (eww!). Not the scent that I want to smell when taking a drink of water from a freshly washed glass. Makes me concerned what nasty chemicals are hiding in the new fragrance. I’ve been a devoted and loyal Dawn fan(atic) for decades. No other dish soap would ever enter our house. But now I’m devastated because we have to find a new dish soap. I threw out the large Dawn we just purchased because of the new fragrance - we have kids who are sensitive to fragrances and Dawn was always the safe option. Not any more. Massively disappointed. Please bring back the original scent!!!!!!!

Pots and pans, bowls and knives, plates and cups: all are handled effortlessly by Dawn. The best part about Dawn Platinum is that, since you only need a little, it lasts for a long time (our bottle has outlived over a dozen sponges!).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using dawn for a long, long time and I have found no better dish detergent, it takes off anything you can think of, greasy messes, baked on food, it cleans pots and pans and anything else you can imagine. I just love the dawn platinum it smells as great as it works. I will keep using it as long as they keep making it.

I love how the smells and how it makes my dishes look and I cannot get over how well it cleans off grease or things that have been sitting on a plate for a few hours, it’s seriously breaks it down better than anything else and I would recommend it to anyone!

Dawn is definitely the best dishwashing liquid you can buy for your dishes and for so many other things. not only does it gently clean powerfully, A lot of the proceeds go to good causes. So all around it’s good for your dishes and it’s great for all the other people, animals, and organizations that benefit from it. I can’t stress enough about giving back in the company that makes this just soap gives back.

I wondered why my bottle was dark blue. Then when I started using it my hands stunk every time. Worse is that smell would linger for a good hour. This smell is the worst! Now my husband is telling me this is all there is? This awful garbage?! The whole reason why I used Dawn over other brands is I'm particular to the smells. But this stuff stinks so bad even my husband complains. Who's bright idea was to go, Oh this smells good! Let's force everyone to use it! I mean even with the reviews you can see this isn't good.

What happened to the old Dawn Platinum? The new Dawn Platinum smells so bad it’s nauseating. My husband usually never complains about product smells but he wouldn’t stop talking about how the new Dawn smells so overpowering. He also commented how he washed a knife and used it to cut an orange and then could taste the soap while eating the orange. We notice that you can’t rinse it out completely on dish clothes and they turn sour over night. We basically chucked the huge new bottle down the drain.

I had used this product for the last 4 years and I loved, however, they changed the fragrance a few months ago and the odor is unbearable for me especially because I’m pregnant. I can feel this scents in the kitchen even when I’m not using the product. I would like that odor was more neutral as before

Dawn dishwashing soap is always my go to. A little bit goes a lot way and its a great value. It can be used for more than just dishwashing. It's great at fighting grease. The scent is not overpowering. I highly recommend this product to other shoppers.
