Bought two 90oz jugs of Dawn Platinum Advanced Power at our local club store and was sad to find this product now has an overpowering new scent. Checked the label and see it says “New & Improved Fresh Scent”. This scent bothers our whole family and it smells like we’re washing our dishes in cheap laundry detergent. We’ll be taking this back to the store and from other reviews it sounds like they’ve also changed original Dawn scent, so I’ll be on the hunt for a new product. I’ve loved Dawn since I started using it in the 90s, so this is a sad day.

Dawn Platinum Scent is too strong. Have to take it back. Hot water makes it very strong smelling. Can't take the smell. Not like the last bottle, this one has changed way too much in odor. Sure, it will clean well. If you are outside in the open breeze fine. going to try regular dawn, hope it has not changed scent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic product!! I am very impressed with how this product cleans. No soaking and no scouring required-even my sister who hates doing dishes doesn't mind since I began using this. I formally used the regular power clean type but platinum is the cat's meow!! Go P&G...and thank you.

The refreshing rain is not a pleasant smell to wash with. I do not know how they could call it refreshing or anything to do with rain. I do not mind doing dishes but with this fragrance it made it a chore. Why having a overpowering sent for dishes is beyond me. Giving this away and replacing with something else. Go back to original and hopefully does not bring up a PLATINUM bad smell flashback.

I’m not much of a “recommends products to people” type of guy, but one of the few exceptions has always been the dawn platinum for its genuinely superior cleaning ability—it’s something that I am very quick to mention to people and recommend over more expensive products or time intensive home-made cleaners. However. The new refreshing rain scent formulation has made it near impossible for me to keep the hand wash dishes clean in our house lately. The second I flip open the bottle, that pungent perfume makes my stomach churn, and if I was more than two dishes at a time, I unfailingly develop a headache. While I am *somewhat* sensitive to the scents of household products, I can usually just scrunch up my nose in distaste and power through it. The new formulation for the Refreshing Rain scent makes me feel physically ill, though. I’m so disappointed, too. I used to buy this scent because it *didn’t* bother me as much as the papaya or apple. Now I have paid for this huge bottle of soap that I do NOT want to use, which I wouldn’t have even bought if I’d known the scent had changed. If there was at least a sticker on the front or something on the label, I would have smelled it in the store and known to steer clear.

My store switched to Dawn Platinum four times more and I'm not happy with it at all! I have been a Dawn user pretty much all my life and there's worldwide not much that can live up to what Dawn is capable of and I traveled all.over. But with the new version I am not happy! It is not as good as the old one bring me back my old Dawn or I might switch to another product. I work in professional kitchens and I speak from experience. So what ever you changed, change it back or make it better. Chef and Kitchen manager Ralph

This is the only dish washing soap I use! It works really really well! Especially on pans with grease & gunk stuck on it you just put a little bit of this (a little goes a long way) on your pan, let it soak, & it comes right off! You don't even have to scrub very long! I use it to clean up spills on the carpet, furniture & it takes it right off! This stuff is THE BOMB!!!!

I rarely take the time to leave feedback for household consumer goods, but I'm making an exception here. The new product is TERRIBLE. We have been using Dawn for years -- even decades -- and we go this new product last week, but the scent seems extremely concentrated, and is very difficult to get it out of the things we wash. It's almost like it leaves residue that is tough to eliminate. And the taste gets through to the food -- I have already had to toss out several cups of coffee. And today, my 3 cats are refusing to eat out of their bowls. Now, Dawn's social media folks are probably going to respond with some canned statement about "extensive research" or "research and development". But if this is representative of their R&D, I'm going to be wary about anything from Procter & Gamble from here on.

Dawn Platinum Advanced Power Dishwashing Liquid is a powerhouse when it comes to tackling tough grease and stuck-on food. Just a little goes a long way-its thick formula cuts through grime quickly, even on dishes that have been sitting out. It lathers richly and rinses clean without leaving residue. What really stands out is how fast it works-there's often no need to soak. Plus, it has a fresh, clean scent that doesn't overpower. It's an excellent choice for anyone who wants an effective, time-saving dish soap.

Love Dawn Platinum! Works better than any other I have ever used, especially on those hard to clean pots and pans. My favorite part is my hands are not dried out and aching after using it like some of the other detergents. I would definitely recommend!
