Unsure of who decided to change the scent and who agreed to it, the whole departments should get fired. The new scent smells like a cheap overpowering laundry soap, too strong and too “cheap”. Make a new scent? Sure! But don’t discontinue the original accent.

The product does what it is supposed to do. It cleans my dishes well, even when they are greasy. However, after years of using it, I'm going to have to switch brands now that the blue has been replaced by this new scent. I tried using it today and now I am itchy all over. I'm allergic to a lot of strong scents and that was one of the reasons I loved Dawn initially. It had a scent, but not one that set off my hives. Now I can't touch the stuff. I'd also be very concerned about this being used on wildlife in the event of oil spills. There are a lot of scents that you are not supposed to use around birds and this smell seems very similar to a lot of the heavier stuff you are supposed to keep away from them. Their respiratory systems don't deal with it well. It would be really sad for people to being using this stuff to help wildlife, only to have some of the birds dying from respiratory distress caused by the new scent. I'd have given a second star for Dawn's ability to clean regardless of my allergies, but when something is advertised as good for helping wildlife with a cute little duck on the front, I'd have hoped they wouldn't go messing with something that is known to be bad for birds.

I feel more comfortable using Dawn than other brands, I’m not sure if it’s the advertising or what. It smells fine, it’s mild and not overbearing, I don’t really like scented dish soaps. It gets the job done, there’s no film or residue left behind. I like it.

I will be honest, we don’t use this for dishes. We use this as a laundry stain pre-treatment. Any time one of us spills something greasy on our clothes, we try to remember to saturate the spot with Dawn right away. The garment can sit in the laundry basket for a week before laundry day, spot treated with Dawn, and it’s still fine. I’ve even successfully removed oily stains with Dawn after the item has already been washed and dried. Try it!

I have used Dawn platinum for years and it works great but the new change in scent is so overpowering that I will consider a new brand in the future. This is not a ‘clean’ smell, rather it smells like I bathed my dishes in perfume. Tempted to toss the current bottle because I can’t stand the smell.

I like this product. It works well, smells good, and is very affordable. I just wish it had better ingredients. There are a lot of chemicals and unclean ingredients so I do not like that. It does work well and is very affordable though so that’s good!

I am very satisfied when using this product because in my opinion, the product cleans dishes, has a pleasant fragrance, and the dishwashing liquid has a certain thickness so it is very economical for the user. I am still using it. 1 of the same brand for cleaning in my house because I love this brand.

This is the best dishwashing liquid hands down. I know I am getting the best clean when I use it. And I love the fact that it gets the tough grease and grime. I can have a messy dish and let it soak in hot water with a little bit of dawn and within a few minutes it’s rinsing our pretty easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is concentrated and I use it to not only use it to wash dishes and it's great on plastic. I also use it to get grease stains out of clothes and carpets. I mix it with Epsom salt to make a weed and bug killer. One bottle last a long time.

I LOVE DAWN!!! It washes dishes great BUT I found that it works wonders at removing grease stains out of clothes (try it!!!!) I also have heard (have not tried) that you can wash your dogs with it and that it’s animal friendly!! SO many things you can do with it and so so cheap!!
