Okay let's be honest for a second. Some dish soaps act like they're helping but the grease is still sitting there looking at you like "girl now what?" 😭 Dawn Platinum actually works. You only need a small drop and it starts breaking everything down right away. I've used it on regular dishes, greasy pans, random kitchen mess, and it gets the job done without me standing there scrubbing forever. The bubbles last too, which I appreciate because I hate having to keep adding more soap. And it rinses clean - no weird film or anything like that. It's just one of those basic things that actually does what it says, so I keep it stocked in my kitchen. ⭐ Definitely one of my go-to cleaning staples.

We have always used Dawn. The new scent isn't great but the real problem is the new lid design. It's total garbage! Wastes way to much, maybe so you have to buy again sooner? Runs down the side so you waste paper towels too. Bring back the old scent and especially the old style bottle or we won't be buying it from Sam's again!

A lot smaller, the top with a cap is a different size than the old ones. no longer fits any of the dispensers. New pour lid isn't great either. The dish soap still works you're just going to pay twice as much for it. guess I'm looking for new laundry detergent.

I have always used Dawn dishwashing soap - platinum or otherwise. I typically wash my pots and pans by hand and the suds always seem to last through the round of washing and Dawn does seem to cut the grease well. That said, with the most recent purchase of Dawn, I could not figure out what smelled so badly. Then, I looked at the bottle and saw that I had purchased “Fresh Rain” scent by mistake. It smells like chemicals and I feel like I need to rewash my dishes to get the “Fresh Rain” off of them. No one wants their dishes to smell like laundry detergent!! Can’t wait to get to the store and purchase another dish soap. The “Fresh Rain” scent is going in the trash.

This is SO aggressively scented that I get a headache every time I am in the same room when it is used. My partner prefers to use dawn vs. the more eco-friendly choices I use. I wish there was a version of Dawn that wasn't so unnecessarily perfumed with artificial, irritant fragrance.

Dawn Platinum Fresh Rain does a decent job cutting through grease and cleaning dishes, pots, and pans. The Fresh Rain scent is light and pleasant and is not overpowering, but it doesn't last long after rinsing. The soap lathers well, but you do need a fair amount to tackle really greasy dishes. While it cleans effectively, I didn't notice a huge difference compared to regular Dawn, so it feels more like a minor upgrade than a game-changer. Overall, it's reliable for everyday dishwashing, but don't expect anything extraordinary in scent or cleaning power.
