[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I moved into our new home, it looked like the filters above the stove had never been clashed and there was major grease and dirt in the fan area. I soaked the filters in hot water with Dawn. The water was disgusting. I rinsed them and put them in the dishwasher. They came out looking like New! While they were washing I I got to work on the hood. It took some elbow grease, but after soaking in hot water, I was amazed at how clean they were with less work and time then I expected.

Dawn is the only way to go! It cleans up any sort of oil and quickly cleanses all my dishes. I do not know where I would be without my blue Dawn dish soap! I use to for all sorts of stains that I may have in clothes, as well. It is multipurpose and I highly recommend it. If I need to get a stain out of my kid’s clothes, I wet it and rub/dab a little bit of the blue Dawn onto it and rinse it off until it is gone. It works like a charm!

I love Dawn dish soap. One, it works and always provided the bubbles so I could continue washing my dishes. I've used other brands to only be disappointed by not having bubbles and used half a bottle or the cleaning power didn't work as advertised so I went back to Dawn for that reason. Hand washing dishes due to not having a dishwasher you find what works and what doesn't and since I always cooked, grease was a given.

I have been using Dawn Platinum religiously for nearly a decade. It cleans the best hands down, then one day I buy a new bottle of fresh rain scent and you know what, it smells completely terrible. So bad that it actually makes me feel ill. Then I try other scents hoping to still be able to use it. Lemon, terrible! Jasmine, less so but still terrible! I finally found one scent (Green Papaya) that was ok and I could handle. Now I can't find it anywhere, so I came here just to find you don't list that scent anymore as it must have been discontinued. Why? Who knows but now I'm stuck with the terrible scents and it appears I am not alone. If you can handle the assault on your nasal cavity then I would recommend it, but give it a sniff at the store because for most people I know we've stopped using it because it smells so bad.

As a Dawn user for many years (and a PG stock holder), I’m extremely disappointed with the new scent. It’s a sickening sweet smell and way too strong. Why mess with such an effective, successful product?! I’m seriously considering no longer using Dawn. It’s that bad!

This cuts grease like no other product. I don’t love the smells and use another dish soap for daily dishes. Instead I use this for laundry. This is the best ever stain remover in conjunction with oxyclean. Saturate the stain and rub in gently with your finger. Let sit for a few minutes before washing (or overnight or until you’re able to wash). Check stain before putting in the dryer because a second time may be needed but seriously it gets everything out.

They’ve changed the “refreshing rain scent” recently. It’s over powering and terrible now. This is the only dish soap I’ve bought during the last decade, and I’m about to throw my brand new bottle in the trash and look for a new brand. Dawn has lost my business. Horrible.

Whoever came up with the "Fresh Rain" scent should be fired! It is disgusting, smells nothing like rain, it smells like like some hideous perfume!! I tried it just once, it made me physically ill- headache and nausea. Why would someone want to wash their dishes with perfume? I have used Dawn for many years- I will be switching to another brand.

I always buy Dawn dish soap (30-40 years). I started using Dawn Platinum for the grease cutting. But, this last bottle I just bought smells horrible. I was raised on a farm, so am used to bad smells. So I started to smell the other dish soap brands to find something else. After checking out other brands, I found Grove lemon, it smells better and WORKS better than your updated Dawn, and is better for you.
