Regular plain old dawn is my favorite dish soap out there. It smells super clean without overpowering with other scents. It lathers excellently and lasts so long since a little going a long way. I will definitely continue to buy and use this soap.

Why Can I Taste It?

I can taste it on my dishes even after rinsing it twice in hot water. I used a literal drop to wash my travel cup and my coffee is fresh rain flavored.

Our products go through lots of testing to ensure top quality and performance, so we wouldn't expect our Dishwashing Soap to impart the product taste into food. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. It's important to not soak porous items; instead wash them immediately and rinse thoroughly. Dawn Free & Clear have the lightest scents, and may be the best option for you. To remove the taste/smell, soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it or run them through the dishwasher (assuming the dishes are dishwasher safe). I love dawn dish soap! I typically use my dish washer to clean dishes, but occasionally I will wash bigger items by hand. This dish soap is great at getting grease and food out of pots and pans! Highly recommend

This is the only dishwasher I have ever used so it must be great! It’s a good price and great value...you definitely get your money’s worth. Cleans the dishes so fast and gets nasty things off...I would definitely buy again.

Effectiveness

It's soo effective in removing oil and keep utensils sparkling clean. I love me some dawn detergent because it gets the job done. I love that the scent is not overpowering even after you finish rinsing.

Gets the grease and stains off my dishes. I use this a lot if I don’t want to do a load of dishes in the dishwasher. But I also use to clean my makeup brushes. Cleans really well and I like the scent.
