It was a squishy, rubbery consistency, But it is fantastic if you eat it mixed with other things. I wish it had a line to mark how far to rip instead of just saying 2 inches.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like how convenient it is to cook, the pouch is great for easy heating and serving, and the "cool touch" label so you dont burn your fingers. I also like that there are no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be kind of dry and almost playdoh tasting though. I added seasonings and it was better, and the dish I used it in had a saucey texture and it definitely helped. The rice gave the dish a nice structure and the dish gave it a better flavor and texture. It is also fantastically portioned for a family.

Both myself and my partner work so we are always looking for quick meals we can put together that is healthy and easy to make. The basmati rice is our favorite but we have tried almost every flavor. The family size feeds our family of two for two meals and it keeps great as leftovers.

Basmati can be tricky to make sometimes and takes a little bit of time if you want to make it perfect and not have it stick together. I love that I can just heat this up. Dinner is so much quicker and the kids love it.

One way for my kids was with just butter salt pepper and parmesan cheese. The other way for my husband and I I did a little soy sauce and snap peas and broccoli. So good.

Great to have on hand. This is a longer rice which is strange and the texture was not like my rice from the rice maker. But it's instant and microwavable.

Though I did have to add my own seasonings to it to make it appeal to my tastebuds, it certainly got the job done right.
