The rice is fluffy and tastes like it was cooked on the stove. I don't usually love ready rice, they can be clumsy and have a different taste…these doesn't. This actually tastes great, the color is bright white, and it comes out fluffy. The family size is large enough for a family of 4…with 2 teenage boys. I will definitely buy this again. It is so convenient and tastes great.

I love that it comes in a Family Size package since the smaller packages don't work for our larger family. It is very quick and easy to prepare! I love that it can be used with so many supper or lunch dishes. I did think that the taste was going to be better than what it was, the taste was off to me for being rice, so I am unsure. It did taste good mixed in with meat and veggies though but not stand alone.

I had made roasted chicken with veggies and still needed another side. Uncle Bens Ready Rice was simple to make simply pop it in the microwave since I didn't have any other burners available and it was done in 2 minutes. I put it in a bowl added a little butter fluffed it with a fork and it was done. It helped to complete our family dinner and they all loved it.

Great to have on hand. This is a longer rice which is strange and the texture was not like my rice from the rice maker. But it's instant and microwavable.

Both myself and my partner work so we are always looking for quick meals we can put together that is healthy and easy to make. The basmati rice is our favorite but we have tried almost every flavor. But once in a while when our schedule is too busy, we don't have time to cook the rice. And cooking rice in the stove is a no-no for us. Until I found this Uncle Ben's Basmati pre-made rice! Omg its so easy to pop this in the microwave for 90 seconds and we can serve this with India Butter Chicken curry and we ready to have a nice warm dinner! It doesn't taste chemical like any other pre made rice and it's not hard to chew! I'm pretty sure it's good for mix with seasoning to make Mexican rice or yellow saffron rice.

Or rather, we tried to try it, but once it was hot, I noticed it had a very rancid oil smell. I tasted a spoonful and promptly spit it into the sink. It was hard, greasy, and tasted like rancid grease. yuck. The contents of the pouch went straight down the drain. yuck
